Apartamentos LIVVO Las Gaviotas

Stayed in standard apartments (block 8) and loved every minute,the apartments were spotless and nothing was too much trouble for reception,had a free lift to our apartment thanks the free bus. Pool area was clean,always had a lounger and pools were never cold. Matagorda was lovely although there were a lot of stray cats roaming the streets. We loved our time here and would definitely return.

The apartments here are really nice. Fully equipped kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom and nice sized living area. Everywhere was clean and towels were changed regularly. Shower was good, balcony area is a good size and totally private. We could see the sea from our room. The food was ok, something for everyone, you wouldn't go hungry. Bit noisy of a morning as a lot of people were there for just bed and breakfast and it got quite crowded. The restaurant could do with a bit of an uplift and re-design as it looked more like a canteen and I believe this is something currently under review. The entertainment room of an evening didn't have much atmosphere although it was only January so can't comment on what it's like later in the season. The entertainment itself was hit and miss but I suppose it depends on what you like. It's a 10 minute walk down to the beach area with bars and restaurants. You need to go out of the gate at the back of the hotel by the pool with the little bridge over it. You can have a nice little walk along the prom. All in all, a nice time was had by us all and as it's so near to the airport there's no travelling for hours when your flight has landed.

The apartments were clean and workable. They are in need of an update lots of things broken and just covered up with tape or paint. The pool needs a clean it’s freezing. Close to the little shopping area with a spa and bars our favourite was Peggy’s snug. We took a taxi to the ***** about 5 mins up the road better choice of food and drinks prices much better. We walked by the airport we really enjoyed plane watching. We took the bikes out great spin around PC

We stayed here in July 2024, we booked it last minute and got a good deal via jet 2. We was a family of 4 - two adults and two children age 3 and age 5. All I can say was WOW… It was so relaxing, right next to the beach and the airport, the rooms were very very clean. It was like being at home but on holiday it was so comfortable. The apartment was so spacious, and you could sunbathe with the sun loungers on your porch area too! Each block had their own swimming pool, the kids loved it, best part about it is that it wasn’t crowded. There was a bar area at the pool which had lovely snacks, food, and especially cocktails! The shops and restaurants were literally a few minutes walk, there’s also a little arcade. There’s more restaurants and shops further round the main road about 10/15 mins walk. Being right next to the airport was a bonus if you love watching the planes fly right over the beach, approx 10 mins walk down the path you can watch the planes landing at the airport, the kids loved it. There’s a little park for kids. There’s also family bikes. Our sister in law stayed in another hotel in Puerto de Carmen, so we visited each other regularly , 10 mins taxi ride, very cheap. She preferred our apartments to her hotel, she said it was perfect and the location was better as where she was was very very hilly, but at these apartments it’s not at all which was also better for the kids. The staff were very very friendly and helpful, we had a late pick up time for the flight home so was able to keep our suitcases a secure room free of charge. We would 100% recommend to anyone who would like a more relaxing family holiday, perfect for couples too, and perfect area for people who need a more accessible holiday I.e. wheelchair users. There are things to do in other areas i.e. water parks, zoos etc. but unfortunately we missed out as the package including transfers where only on certain days, and we only enquired a couple of days before going home so I’d say if you’re looking for a day/trip out enquire about them first thing! The spontaneous last minute decision was 100% worth it. Thank you so much for making our first holiday as a family of 4 one to remember!

Enjoy these apartments great to use as a base. Pool area block 8 was nice and quiet person who ran the pool bar had just left so no loud music which suited us .Saw the chap who did run the bar and he was so rude totally ignored us. Never bite the hand of those that feed you. We will remember.the toilets by the pool havent been cleaned all week and the bin is overflowing.the glass round the pool area needs a good clean badly marked. Inflateables in the small pool left there. Havent seen anyone clean the pools

This is an honest review of my own experience. I’ve never had reason to complain with Tui however after this holiday it was my first time. Do not book these apartments. Paid extra for a “ superior bungalow “ and after checking in the bungalow was dark, old and the sun loungers on the terrace must have been 10+ years old, filthy and cracked. When questioning what was superior about the bungalow was told “ superior means closer to the beach “ - right ok; but that wasn’t explained when booking. Tui did provide a partial refund due to the absolute horror of these apartments. Mattress where disgusting and you sunk into them ( not in a good way ). When complaining was told mattress’ where only 2 months old ( lie ). Constantly drilling and banging from bungalow next door. Fixtures and fittings falling in room where marked and falling down. Cleaner was a waste of time, didn’t mop the floors - during the night using the toilet and back my feet where black ! Didn’t dare walk around bungalow without sliders on. Everytime we used the shower it flooded the whole bungalow !! Not just the bathroom. When complaining the receptionists answer was “ don’t put the shower tap on all the way “. Pools freezing cold - all of them unusable. Rude receptionist - her attitude was appalling and confrontial all the time. Honestly I’m a frequent visitor to lanzarote and I didn’t expect much with it been 3* but you can get better accommodation elsewhere. Don’t book these bungalows.
