"We stayed at a supposed 4-star hotel in Lefkada (“Grand Theoni”), and the experience was far from what was advertised. Upon arrival, we were shown a room that was completely unsuitable for a family with a child – it had a double bed and a very uncomfortable armchair-bed that even a small child could not properly sleep on. This was not the room we had booked. To their credit, the staff immediately offered us a larger room – but only at an extra cost, which we had no real choice but to accept. As we were traveling with a child, we requested half board (HB). However, once we arrived, we discovered that “HB” meant a fixed, predefined menu chosen entirely by the hotel, with no regard for our preferences or dietary needs. No one asked what we eat or don’t eat. We were also the only guests in the hotel being treated this way, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. When we asked if we could cancel the dinners, we were told it would not be a problem, but since we had booked through an agency, we needed to contact them. We immediately did so, and our agent repeatedly tried to reach the hotel via email during our entire stay. The hotel never responded to those emails. Meanwhile, when we asked the hotel directly, they falsely claimed that our agent had not contacted them, which was simply not true. Only after we had already left did they finally respond to the agent – and then refused any refund, even partial, with the excuse that they had already purchased food products. For an entire week in advance? This is not a reasonable justification. Overall, this hotel showed a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and honesty. The handling of the situation was unacceptable, and the communication was misleading at best. Do not stay here. This place is highly unreliable and operates in a very dishonest manner."

"Absolutely lovely place on Lefkas. Tucked away in the mountains 350 m above sea level it provides the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. And yet only 15-20 min drive to the main city on the island with plenty of shops and restaurants. Many other reviews have praised the magnificent view of the ocean and the sunset, the stylish infinity pool and the floating sun bed in some of the villas - and the pictures on the website reflect exactly what it looks like in real life. In my pictures I have tried to focus on the architectural details that emphasize that this is a special place and not just a mainstream holiday resort villa - the lights, the classy interior and the cosy sitting areas. It all adds to a great atmosphere. Having stayed 4 nights in Villa Iasmos we have found our new favorite holiday place in Greece. We love the unique mix of total privacy combined with the luxury of breakfast served every morning on our private terrace, daily housekeeping and pool maintenance. This rare combination allows us to enjoy the feel of home away from home without the hassle of having to shop for and prepare breakfast, daily cleaning, washing towels etc which is normally the case when you rent a villa. We will be back for sure!"

"Had a lovely stay at Grand Nefeli hotel in Vasiliki. The hotel is located in Ponti beach Vasiliki within walking distance to local restaurants and bars. The room was clean with comfortable bed, mattress and pillows. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. The hotel has a patio with a private swimming pool and free sunbeds provided on the beach. There is a lot of activities you can choose from when visiting Vasiliki - paddle boarding, mountain bikes, diving and windsurfing. Amenities are provided and there is also a refrigerator in the room. The room has got double doors with mosquito net and air conditioning. I had a sea view room on the second floor with breakfast included and it was a good value for money."

"Accommodated us at the last minute when our hotel (the Red Tower Lefkadas-Nydriou) was so bad we had to leave. Friendly staff welcomed us here and made us feel at home. Great bar, breath-taking views, lovely breezy sun deck and huge pool. Little beach for kids and a great breakfast too. We’ll come back."

"We stayed for one night early November out of season. We were due to catch an early bus to Thessaloniki from the bus station which was a 5 minute walk away so a great location for us. It is a 15 mins walk to the town centre. Two large supermarkets and a bakery nearby. The staff and their attention to customer satisfaction was exemplary. The venue is of a high standard and the pool area is very nice. Breakfast delivered to the room included fruit juice, tea and coffee, two fried eggs and a hot toastie each, croissants, choc au pains, jams, honey, cake and apples and this was described a little breakfast as we were out of season! We will be back without a doubt."

"Very convenient location of the hotel near the best restaurants and walking streets, 5 minutes to the marina, the rooms are clean, good bed linen. Breakfast was quite good. I recommend!"

Rouda Bay Beach Hotel

"There wasn't sponge and liquid detergent in kitchen to wash the dishes. The kitchen shelves were full with dust. The location is pretty far from the rest of the island. The beach is pebbled and too crowded. The location doesn't offer much to do, actually it's not a village...there is some tavernas, but they also were crowded and if you don't make reservation you can't find a place to eat."

"Just returned from a week, and wish I had gone for longer. The hotel staff were fabulous, clean sheets and towels daily. Rooms immaculate, although shower a tad tricky. Free pool towels daily, and plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Can recommend going into Lefkada town, cobbled streets and lovely restaurants, quite chilled atmosphere. Nidri is busier, but plenty of boat trips and restaurants to choose from, and we preferred the Lefkada atmosphere. Local bus outside hotel takes you to either resort, and a bargain at 2 euros pp. In Lygia itself, there are at least a dozen restaurants if you don't want to go far....can recommend Giannis. All in all, a fabulous place, will definitely return."
