The property was a good location, and the shower was very strong. You can’t hear anything outside of the rooms, ok for space to move around the room. Air con is very nice and works well cold or warm. The staff were very nice and pleasant. We arrived just after 5, general check in is at 3. We were told we had to wait as they wasn’t sure what rooms are ready but the rooms were ready, it didn’t really make sense what we were being told.Waited around 10 minutes before being told our room number, we did get offered a free drink as a complimentary but I would say structure is a bit shocking. The beds were not comfy at all, couldn’t sleep through out the night, the pillows were not comfy, woke up with a sore kneck and back. Would definitely recommend staying somewhere else for the price or even spending more elsewhere. Parking wasn’t too bad, parked at Moorfield NCP with voucher came to £12 something, however there is a car park closer called Victoria which is across the road. The hotel needs a bit of TLC altogether, buttons on elevator were very worn.
Response from Property: Hi Gabriele, Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the location of our hotel, our famously fabulous showers, and the quietness of our rooms. It's also great to hear that you found the air con to work well, as we know that this is important to our guests. It is also pleasing to read that you found our staff to be "nice and pleasant" as just like our wonderful guests, they really are the beating heart of Z Hotels! I am sorry to hear that there was an issue with your check in. I have investigated what went on, and I understand that due to staff shortages, there was a slight delay with double checking the clean rooms. We wanted to ensure that the room we checked you in to was indeed clean - as we are well known for our high standards of cleanliness - and understand what an important part of the experience this is for guests. This was the reason for the short delay, and I hope that this did not cause too much disruption to your day. I'm pleased to hear that you were offered a complimentary drink each for this inconvenience. I'm sorry to hear that you did not sleep well. Our beds are handmade in Devon to the highest specification, and are designed to be firm, as this is generally considered to be the most desirable and comfortable. However, I appreciate that this is a matter of personal preference, and I am sorry to hear that it was not to your liking. Thank you once again for taking the time to review your stay.

This was my second stay at The Z Hotel Liverpool. Great people. Great rooms, Great location. And I had a club salad that was fantastic. The only thing I do not like about The Z Hotel, is their no refund policy when booking a room. I was coming from the US, and I did not book my whole stay there because sometimes things happen. I could not risk losing several hundreds of dollars. But, I like this place - very much.
Response from Property: Hi Catherine, thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I'm so pleased to hear that it was your second stay, and we hope that we will welcome you back for a third stay in the not-too-distant future! It is extremely encouraging to hear that you found our people, rooms and location to be "great" and our food - namely the club salad - to be "fantastic"! We must add that our guests are also "great" and "fantastic" and a huge part of what makes Z Hotel so special! So thank you too! Although we do have a non refundable, non amendable policy, if you book directly as a Z Member we do sometimes have a little more flexibility. We hope we can welcome you back to Z Hotel Liverpool again in the not too distant future!

Nice hotel with small reception on ground floor. Service is nice. Staff cool & helpful. Hotel is just next to city centre n metro station. Plenty of cafe n restaurant all around. Beautiful views of the city from room windows. Room was ok with working air con. Everything really good except lifts. Either u can wait for one and only lift working for a big hotel which has 8 floors. It was nightmare for us. A lift where hardly 4 people can stand is working for up down with full of people. Not happy for such thing. Except that all fine and happy to stayed there.

Response from Property: Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review about our hotel, we especially appreciate your comments about our staff and central location! We're indeed lucky to have such wonderful views from our windows. Unfortunately the hotel does only have one lift, which means sometimes having to wait for it to come down or go back up, depending on how busy our hotel is, however I hope this does not tarnish your view of us as we would be more than happy to welcome you back again. All the best, Loreta

Appropriately for a footballing city, this was the classic example of a “game of two halves”... well maybe not, possibly more One Quarter / Three Quarters but that doesn't really have a stronghold in the vernacular and possibly won't catch on as a saying.... Anyway, the hotel is located in an excellent place in Liverpool. You can be at the Cavern Quarter within seconds of walking out of the front door. It is conveniently located for the sea terminal, for James Street railway station, for the city centre; you would struggle to find a much better location. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. There were however downsides. We paid a considerable amount for the room. It was a fair amount more than we would have paid if we had just turned up in Liverpool and booked online there and then, we realized that because when we walked in to and saw our room, we had to double check what it was we had paid for because the room we had wasn’t worth it. Firstly, not a wardrobe or a cupboard in there, one very small chest of drawers, other than that nothing. What there was for hanging and storing clothes was effectively the top half of a hat stand bolted to the wall. Secondly the bed. Now to give credit where it is due, the bed was very comfortable but in order to maximize the space in the room, it was jammed up against the wall below the window so the bed was only accessible from one side or from the foot of the bed. Unfortunately, we lost a mobile phone between the bed and the wall and had to pull the bed out a bit to retrieve it. To say what we found was unpleasant was an understatement. We found a layer of dust on the floor so thick that you could leave a footprint in it, a false fingernail, a load of electrical flex, residue of some kind of substance down the side of the bed that we didn’t want to investigate too closely and any amount of spiders etc. Also, for the person against the wall, getting up in the night to use the “bathroom” without waking up your partner was not the easiest thing in the world and this then leads us on to said “bathroom”. Have you ever had that nightmare where you are sat on a loo in a public place? Sure it can’t just be me… Well, the “bathroom” was not a “room”. It was effectively a shower cubicle with a WC in it within the hotel room. Admittedly, the glass was at least frosted to a height of about 5 ½ feet above the floor but that means that if you were any taller than about 5ft 8 and happened to walk past the cubicle while your partner was using the WC, their privacy and dignity would immediately be lost. Now, perhaps being middle aged we aren’t as progressive or as “right-on” as younger people and maybe there are people for whom this isn’t even a thing but for us, using the conveniences is a private thing, we are not “open door” bathroom users. We are by no means prudish but there are certain things that we feel should remain private to the individual and we neither wish to see or be seen by our partners when under
