"Sammy was a amazing Host, very friendly and welcoming! I was right bang in the middle of Looe, what a beautiful place! The room was lovely and clean and everything that you needed was in there. I had the single room and it was cute! You had your own Bathroom which was outside on the landing which was totally fine and again lovely and clean and shower was powerful. Breakfast was plentiful and Sammy always made sure you was ok and nothing was too much trouble for him. The only thing I would suggest is to supply some Fans as the room was quite warm as the sun was coming into the room as it was south-facing and also it was a heatwave when I came so that did not help lol. But it would be good to get some and give to guests if needed :) I will defiantly come back and stay at Sammy's in the future its such a lovely welcoming place and you really feel like home there. I told my family about it and they may just stay here too in the future."

"Absolutely amazing. I went there on the 16th February 2026 and they was amazing. There was a little wait at reception but nothing too bad the we checked in very easily. Amazing staff showed us to our room which did has never happened before with the other hotels I’ve said it. I will be going back. The rooms are perfect and we had a balcony looking over the sea it was amazing"

The Gate Cornwall ★★★

"Wonderful quiet hideaway; Shepherd's Hut and Gate 2 are of superb quality. A little strange to do everything from check-in to check-out online without seeing a soul. But this didn't impact the experience at all. The Shepherd's hut has everything you need, a well-equipped little kitchenette. The comfort in Gate 2 is luxurious. The only downside I would say is that there is no on-site breakfast option. Not a problem for our trip as we could cook and have everything needed in the shepherds hut for both couples."

Sawyers Bed and Breakfast ★★★

"We stayed at Sawyers for two nights. The room was very well laid out, clean and tidy. There was a small lounge area at the front, with a large bedroom area, and bathroom. The host was lovely, and made us feel very welcome. Our room wasn't on the seafront, but a bit round the corner. There was a private parking space just outside the door. The breakfasts were well cooked, and hot. Can not fault this venue."

"We went here for a roast dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived till we left we were looked after impeccably and could not fault anything. Food was delicious and you had a choice of meat or all three on the menu. Great service great setting off the beaten track and lovely ambience"

"Stayed for 2 nights on my SW Coastpath walk. The guesthouse is right on the coastpath route. Everything was right about my stay from the loading bay outside ,free parking permit, friendly and helpful proprietor, well appointed room and the best breakfast during my 7 day trip. I could not have wished for more."
