It’s one of the amazing hotels that I have stayed in life. Amazing Staff and location is just perfect. Hotel shuttle service to take to down town and night markets , free of cost, and 3-4 times a day , was cherry on the top. I really plan to come back to this hotel again in my life

The hotel has a great manager, but its facilities and rooms are absolutely atrocious! So bad that we decided not to stay (was at the property for around an hour), booked another hotel for the night.
Note: Hotel refused to refund fee despite minimal standard listed below.
This hotel does not deserve the 5 stars as it’s rated. Its facilities have not been refreshed for many years. The following issues were observed:
1. Air con was not cold at all
2. TV reception was extremely poor
3. No slippers, and when requested, slippers were flimsy ones you would get at a 3 star hotel
4. Entire room smelt mouldy, and towels were wet on touch
5. Toilet was not clean.
6. Bugs in the room, leading to several mosquito bites within a few minutes of entering the room
7. Towels were not white (off yellow/grey)
This is by far the worst experience at a so called 5 star hotel.

My 4 night stay at The Grand Luang Prabang was excellent! The hotel is beautiful. It was a former palace during colonial times and I loved the plentiful lily pads, lotus flowers, and dok champa trees. The staff were also truly incredible. While the hotel is a bit far from downtown Luang Prabang, they were always willing to drive me there for dinner or to explore the night market, and it was really appreciated. If you want to have a special stay at a truly unique hotel, book with The Grand Luang Prabang, it will really add to your overall experience.
