Villa Alounsavath Mekong Riverside
"Wonderful location. AC didn’t work first night but night time temps were fine. Next day I went out and came back to a brand new AC in room. Wonderful. Right near my favorite cafe as well."
Elegant Boutique Hotel Luangprabang
Sophisticated boutique hotel blending modern comfort with traditional Lao design, offering personalised attention and cosy rooms near the city's famous cultural landmarks.
Xieng Thong Retreat Hotel (Luang Prabang Old Town - Central Sisavangvong Road Branch)
"My stay here was not great but at the same time, not terrible. I think the property would benefit from some maintenance, upgrading, and more thorough cleaning. The room was functional and AC worked fine, but there were noticeable signs of wear and tear. The walls could do with repainting, and I found dust and cobwebs in parts of the room, which made it feel like housekeeping standards could be improved. One of the biggest drawbacks was how thin the walls are. Noise travels very easily, and I could hear almost everything happening in the neighbouring rooms, including conversations, showers running, and toilets flushing. This made it difficult to relax fully at times. There was also a noticeable gap around the door, which meant insects could get into the room. I could actually see mosquitoes coming through the gap at times, which was frustrating and made it harder to keep them out. Communication could also be challenging on occasion due to the language barrier. While this is understandable in a non-English-speaking country, it sometimes made things less straightforward. Thankfully, Google Translate helped bridge the gap. My booking included breakfast, which was somewhat disappointing. On the day I managed to have breakfast at the hotel, there was no choice or variety available. The meal consisted of a bowl of noodle soup and a boiled egg, with no alternative options or buffet selection. That said, my stay wasn't terrible, and the hotel served its purpose for somewhere to sleep."
The Jam Hostel
"This hostel is a good distance from the loud night market area but is still an easy walk from it. I appreciated their cafe and poolside area, but I was not there for the nightlife. The lockers in the rooms were a good size, and each bed has an individual fan that can be turned on inside the bed curtains. Our room was above a staff/family apartment however, and the noise of the kids downstairs was occasionally disruptive."
Ammata Boutique Villa
"Wonderful value for the price. It has a very good location, very near the Main Street and Wat Xieng Thong. The guesthouse is homely and comfortable; we liked that it provided hot, warm, and cold water 24/7. The receptionist is very friendly, kind, and helpful. The neighbourhood is serene. Would recommend to others."
Cozy An Boutique Luangprabang Hotel
"Well stay for short trip"
Ireenkevin Guesthouse
"I enjoyed my stay here. The place has a nice vibe and my room was comfortable and clean. The shower door and drain needs fixing but everything else was great. The location is wonderful. Riverside, palace, temples, restaurants, bars, massage, night market etc are all very close. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. I will likely stay here again next time I come back to Luang Prabang."
White Elephant Hostel
"Loved it so much I stayed two different times! This place will always hold a special place in my heart, good memories and great people I met and went on to travel with!! Would definitely reccomend to solo travellers (it may be quiet at first but you will meet people)"

"Nothing to complain about, the hotel is how it should be. But there is always room for improvement. The breakfast is ok, but I would like to have some more bread to choose from and also ham and cheese. The bed are labelled "extra soft" but to me it's much too firm 🤷♂️"

Jing Land Palace Hotel Luang Prabang
"My stay at the Luang Prabang Jinglan Hotel on this trip was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended! The hotel is situated on a scenic hillside overlooking Mount Phousi, just a 3-minute walk from the Luang Prabang Night Market, the Royal Palace, and Legian Street. A 10-minute walk from the hotel's back hill leads directly to the Mount Phousi viewing platform for sunrise and sunset views (get in early to avoid Mount Phousi entrance fee!). The hotel also offers panoramic views of the entire Luang Prabang Old Town. It's incredibly convenient to access Legian Street and the Night Market. The hotel boasts a rich history, with its buildings over 70 years old. Once a royal palace, it has hosted numerous royal guests, exuding a profound sense of history. The architecture blends elegant French colonial style with strong Lao local characteristics. The white walls are sophisticated and grand, the courtyards are lush with greenery, creating a captivating atmosphere of understated luxury. Staying there feels like stepping into a vintage paradise. What's most heartwarming is the hotel's attentive and thoughtful service. Many staff members are fluent in Mandarin, making communication seamless and ensuring a smooth experience for travel inquiries and check-in. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service from the airport and high-speed rail station, saving travelers the hassle of long journeys. For everyday outings, guests can book hotel vehicles to explore the city, making travel arrangements incredibly convenient. Furthermore, the staff are exceptionally warm and attentive, even proactively accompanying guests to local markets to purchase fresh fruit, truly making guests feel welcome on their journey abroad. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, with comfortable and quiet rooms, complete with amenities, ensuring a top-notch stay. I've already recommended it to my friends! 👫"
