Merry Riverside Hotel

The hotel is located by a tributary of the Mekong River, so you'll need to walk down a small alley for about 50 meters to reach it. The path is in good condition, so pulling a suitcase is fine. The hotel's cleanliness and service are excellent, and the rooms have three-prong outlets, so no adapter is needed. We stayed on the second floor, and you need to take off your shoes to go upstairs, but disposable slippers are provided by the hotel. The breakfast area is riverside, and enjoying breakfast with a gentle breeze from the Mekong River is very pleasant. The only downside I found was that the Wi-Fi speed was a bit slow; I'm not sure if it's the same in other rooms.

My stay was excellent. The hotel's location is really convenient, close to Foreigners Street, the Royal Palace, and the sunset boat dock. It's about a 10-15 minute walk using Baidu Maps. There's an ATM right across from the hotel. The staff, both the lady at the front desk and the gentleman, were very welcoming and helpful. They can assist with booking train tickets in Laos and arranging tuk-tuks to Kuang Si Falls and the Elephant Camp. However, even though the hotel is right next to the river, don't expect too much from the riverside view. Laos doesn't do a great job with river management.
