The hotel itself is excellent, including the infrastructure and hygiene. However, as a five-star hotel, the Karen reception and racist staff are not professional and unacceptable.

Charming hotel in a castle. Nice rooms with very comfy bed and premium toiletries. Central courtyard for breakfast and on site parking. Outside of town and a good 20 minute walk to the waterfront and 40 mins into the town centre. No gym.

The room was lovely, the staff in the restaurant was lovely as well. However, the overall service is way too far from a five star hotel. Weirdly, the reception knocked our door in the morning twice without calling on the phone, we were very surprised. When we left, the staff drove their shuttle bus to cut our way which is very surprising as well.

The hotel is not in the city of Malaga, but the scenery is beautiful. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant are very good. The room is comfortable. The bathroom is a bit slow. The other experiences and services are very good. Recommended

Environment: Very beautiful. There is a swimming pool with direct views of the sea. It is decorated on the castle. Hygiene: very clean Service: The service is very enthusiastic and the attitude is very good Facilities: Very complete The only thing is that the location is on a mountain and you need to take a taxi. But it is very suitable for vacation. I can’t fault it.

The hotel is on the mountain, it is a castle, very beautiful, you can see the sea, the breakfast is ordered, but it is also very rich, giving people a different feeling.

The hotel itself is undeniably beautiful — the grounds are stunning, and the food is excellent. Unfortunately, that’s where the 5-star experience ends. The quality of sleep is shocking. On Saturday, I was woken shortly after 8 a.m. by someone sweeping the courtyard, and again at 7:55 a.m. on Sunday. As my body clock is still on UK time, that’s effectively 7 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. On Saturday, the sweeping was quickly followed by loud hoovering around 8:30 a.m., making it impossible to rest. I did not expect to be woken so early by staff noise in a so-called luxury hotel. I came here to relax, and sleep is a basic expectation — not a luxury. Once awake, I couldn’t get back to sleep, so two out of my three mornings were completely ruined. Avoid Room 103. It faces directly onto the courtyard with tables placed right outside the window. Guests can sit literally inches from the glass — it feels like they’re dining in your room. Allowing this, especially early in the morning (8.15am), shows a complete lack of consideration for guest comfort. It’s clear from other reviews that noise is a recurring issue, yet nothing seems to be done about it. A shame, because the property itself has so much potential — but if you value peace, rest, and proper sleep, look elsewhere.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived we felt cared for Everything about it showed quality. Our room was fabulous, the setting amazing and the staff and gardens wonderful. I think the highlight was sitting under the stars eating dinner. I highly recommend this venue

Nice hotel - however be aware it is about 30 minutes walk from Malaga port (where most of the bars,shops etc are).Taxis are scarce so we had to walk back every evening up the steep hill.Our issue with the hotel however was the plumbing.3rd night the faulty plumbing was so loud it kept us awake all night.The hotel Manager who we called admitted it was just awful.We were moved the next morning so had to pack up everything by 11 but were then told we couldnt get into our replacment room until after 15.00.The next morning we had no water in the replacement room so couldnt shower or use the facilities.These things happen with old plumbing in an ancient building but the hotels offer of compensation for a nights sleep lost,a day with no room and a morning with no water - nothing.Just apologies.If you do have any of the above issues during your stay do not expect any gesture of compensation or you will be disapointed.

The hotel garden and outside eating area is really pretty and calm. A short taxi ride of about 10 euros to get into the town centre. The rooms themselves are nice but the actual hotel rooms are really noisy and its not a peaceful nights sleep unless you go to bed once all the kitchen noise has stopped and you don't want a lie in. I did speak to the receptionist about the noise and was told no one ever complained about the noise from the room we were in - which is a little odd as when I read the reviews ( should have read them before I stayed!) many people talked about the noise and in particular named our room as a room not to stay in!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel, which looks like a castle! The location, slightly outside the city, offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and discreet, ensuring that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the overall ambiance of the place. It felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Lovely hotel up in the hills of Malaga. Small pool area but spectacular views and lovely courtyard for breakfast and evening drinks/ dinner. Nice walk along the promenade into the city & short walk down to beach for morning swim. Lovely ambience.

My partner and I stayed at this beautiful, historical, romantic castle for just one night. Unfortunately, I was battling a cold, so I couldn’t fully enjoy this stay. However, the staff were so gracious to allow us to check in hours early so I could nap, and even made an off the menu soup for me to help me recover. Given this castle’s rich history and past life as a hospital, it’s no wonder they took such good care of me! I will be returning here for another holiday where I am hopefully not battling any ailments so I can fully appreciate the beauty and delicious food. My partner, who ended up eating dinner on his own, said it was one of the best meals in the most romantic setting :) (The most romantic you could get dining alone!)
