Le Palme
"AWFUL HOTEL Recently stayed with a group, had a very large amount of money stolen from the safe. Cleaner made petty trips to our room, e.g to drop 2 towels off yet there was 4 of us in a room and made no effort of cleaning. On this occasion we came back from the beach and found over €300 euros missing. Hotel explained we must have been stealing off each other & the cleaner has been there 20 years so it couldn’t have been them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS"
Pyrgos Blue
"This was the second time we have visited Pyrgos Blue and it won’t be the last. The hotel has an undeniable charm, that emanates from the warmth of the family. On a practical level, the rooms are beautifully clean, large comfortable beds, and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Im sorry I didn’t get the cleaners name but she deserves a mention as she is there from dawn to dusk and works so hard! However, the appeal of the place is not just the stunning views, blue sea wherever you look, sunshine galore… but it’s the way the family make the customers feel so at home. You receive a warm and friendly welcome every day, the same faces.. working so hard yet always greet you with a smile. Manos is the funniest person there, not only has a great sense of humour but also the ability to speak to anyone in their level, and kindly explains things to you about the local area, or food or places of interest. Toula is a wonderful lady, graceful and kind. Helpful and makes delicious food for us. Nothing is too much to ask for, Toula will get it done! Then their adult son and daughter Elena and Vangelis, who both work the bar are also very hard working and helpful, always bringing a sense of calm and peace to the place. The overall ambience is a holiday where you can do as much or as little as you like. I love that it is not a big hotel, full of loud, annoying, drunk Brits…( and I am British by the way) … But instead, it’s a comfortable, peaceful place you can read your books and be left alone. The food is great, lots of restaurants to try close by..I’d recommend Avli and Odas to try. If you are looking for somewhere to chill, where you can find peace and tranquility, look no further. We can’t wait to go back!"
Creta Verano Hotel
"Really good facilities the manager in charge was helpful and made it easy and quality of place was good"
Golden Bay Apartments-Garden Haven
"What can we say, from arrival to depart, Akis absolutely looked after us both. From check in, to recommendations of places to visit, restaurants and even offered run us to the airport if our taxi at 3am didn't turn up! The hotel is lovely, clean, and with beautiful gardens, let photos speak for self. Location is perfect, no noise even though close to strip. Peaceful around pool. We had a lovely stay for the week, with Akis and family making us very welcome. Thank you!"

Villa Mare Monte ApartHotel
"Absolutely 💯 we can’t fault it, we arrived close on 9pm as we was staying half board the lovely manageress still made sure we had a three course meal cooked by the great chefs who served the most mouth watering meals throughout our 7 night stay…. I just wished I could take her home with us 🤣 As it was our 20th wedding anniversary we had complimentary bottle of champagne in our room, what a lovely surprise, The staff worked extremely hard and enjoyed many chats with the guests, having a laugh and making you feel homely and welcome, to say renaming my husband the English Cypriot 🤭 Honestly a memorable holiday, laid back, great views, excellent accommodation couldn’t ask for more! Looking forward returning!"

Laplaya Beach
"We visited for the day to use the sun loungers on the beach. Sun loungers were €12 for two plus parasol. Great quality loungers and luxurious thick and comfy mattresses. Quiet side of Malia beach and great spot. Had the best strawberry daiquiris we’ve had,the other cocktails were good too! The owners gave us some free crisps,I think it’s because we spent quite a few euros on cocktails 😂 A little bit of quiet music would enhance it though in our opinion. We had a great afternoon down at the beach."
Aeolos Beach Resort
"It's a nice, well-maintained hotel in a beautiful location on the beach and on the edge of Malia. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended"
Phāea Cretan Malia, a Member of Design Hotels
"The two-day stay was way too expensive for the hotel, knowing that there are people staying there for half the price—though for a week. However, it is a nice, large hotel where the low-rise design adds value."

In the hotel, we called mrs Lula and 5 min later she was there with a big smile in the middle of the night 😍 we were very grateful! And the appartement had a nice terrace on the pool, where you can drink and eat from 9 till 9, swimming pool has a good size and the see is 30 meters away We really recommend this place!"
Malia Mare Hotel
"We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we did not feel particularly welcome. The staff were generally unfriendly and made us feel as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. Unfortunately, things only got worse throughout our stay. Upon check-in, we intended to pay by card, however we were asked if we could pay in cash instead. We had no issue with this and explained that we would withdraw the money and bring it to reception the following day. The next morning, we had the cash ready and were counting it in our room before bringing it down to reception. At that point, the cleaner arrived. We placed the cash on a table and stepped out onto the balcony to allow her to clean comfortably. We trusted that she would simply carry out her work and did not feel the need to supervise her. When we came back into the room, approximately ten minutes after counting the money, €50 was missing. We immediately noticed because we had literally just counted the cash. We went to reception and politely explained the situation. We were very careful with how we approached it and specifically stated that we did not want to accuse anyone of anything. We simply felt that the situation should be made known. Unfortunately, the response we received was incredibly disappointing. The lady at reception was hostile from the start and made us feel as though she believed we were making the story up. She relayed the situation to a man, who I presume was the owner or manager, who told us that this had “never happened” in over 20 years. However, after looking through reviews, we found multiple comments from previous guests over the years raising concerns about money or belongings going missing after visits from cleaners. The man told us he would look into the matter and asked us not to pay the accommodation balance just yet until he had spoken to us again. We appreciated this and expected some sort of follow-up. However, we never heard anything further. Later that evening, another woman approached us in an extremely hostile manner demanding payment. We explained that we had absolutely no issue paying and had intended to pay from the first day. In fact, we had only withdrawn cash to accommodate the hotel’s request. We also explained that we had been told someone would get back to us regarding the missing money and nobody ever had. What made the situation even more frustrating was that this woman informed us that the other staff member had said we were in the room while the cleaner was there, implying that our concerns could not possibly be valid. This was simply untrue. We were not in the room; we had stepped out onto the balcony specifically to allow the cleaner to do her job comfortably. It became apparent that staff had already discussed the situation amongst themselves and come to their own conclusion that we were lying, yet nobody ever communicated this to us directly or gave us the opportunity to properly "
Stella Maria
"Very warm welcome to the Cretan style! Well soundproofed room Housekeeping done every day Nice swimming pool Bar available Close to the sea Pleasant setting We had a great time at the Stella Maria"
Minois Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"Great location, walkable to many restaurants and beach. Excellent service and amazing breakfast!"
Koni Village Hotel
"Despite the steep paths and flights of steps, and the 20 minute walk to the beach, I enjoyed staying here. The season was only one day old when we arrived but everyone soon got into the swing of things and any little glitch was quickly put right. The staff were all great. The food was good and the alcohol was always on tap, though I would have liked a more extensive choice of cocktails. Our room was large but our bathroom was so tiny, I had to go in sideways it was so cramped. There are no lifts in any of the blocks and although we were able to manage our luggage, I felt for those people had to struggle up 3 flights of stairs to reach their rooms, having dragged their cases up some very steep paths. The bus stops were more or less outside the hotel and the buses were cheap, frequent and easy to so exploring from this hotel was easy."
Ikaros Beach, Luxury Resort & Spa - Adults Only
"The complex is what really stands out at Ikaros beach hotel. It's very different from your average hotel layout. It's spacious and beautiful, located right by the sea. A 10 star in that aspect. As we drove in the entrance all the people on the transfer bus were commenting on how good the hotel looked. We had a garden view twin room, which was well equipped, with a safe, aircon, robes, slippers, hairdryer, a fridge, coffee machine... and bathroom scales! The bathroom was modern, with a powerful shower. It was cleaned everyday. We had a lovely big patio area, where we could see the sea in the distance. I found the cocktails were of a high standard, not weak like most all inclusive hotels. Premium spirits were definitely being used! All the staff work incredibly hard and are friendly. I will be honest the food in the buffet restaurant wasn't mind blowing for a 5 star, most dishes were quite bland - but hey that's just my opinion, and in comparison to other 5 star hotels, I have had much better. However, you get to use the Italian, Asian and Greek restaurant for 1 night each, which definitely breaks it up. I'd recommend bringing a jacket as the restaurants are outside (in early season, maybe not mid summer), and get them booked up fairly soon at guest relations. Evening entertainment varied each evening from musicians to singers. There are 2 pool areas, the main one has a bar, a seating area and bean bags along with plenty of sunbeds. There's also a beach area with lots of sunbeds available. The gym and spa is a fantastic facility, the best hotel gym I've experienced, with many fitness classes available. Location wise, the complex is about a 15 minute walk into Malia, take a left outside the hotel, we found the beautiful old town part, which has an amazing restaurant 'Avli', which I highly recommend if you like to eat out on holiday - you can book online, we went twice, it's so reasonably priced! There are many bars and restaurants along the roadside, although it is quite derelict along that route in places. However, if you take a right outside the hotel and enjoy a stroll there are many restaurants, bars and shops there too which leads to Stalida (this is a much nicer area)"
Sentido Kyknos Beach Adults Only
"The massage was very professional and the team very heartwarming. Sophia was so sweet and responded to all my wishes and needs. Thank you!"
Philoxenia Hotel & Spa
"The rooms were alright and the poolarea and spa is pretty nice. However the service from the boys at the site was awful. Almost borderline threatening in their tone. The breakfast was below average. The bar was a bit pricy and what they offered didn’t really taste great. But at least the rooms were alright with good balconies. And as I said, they have a nice poolarea. The area is great if you like to party. And we did."
