My mum and I have just had a brilliant few days here. The riad is spectacular and a truly peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The food is excellent - we very much enjoyed the (huge!) breakfast on the terrace and our dinner at the riad was personally my favourite meal during my time in Marrakesh (fish pastilla). One of the highlights of our trip was the cooking class which was set up in the courtyard of the riad. We were able to cook several Moroccan dishes which we then ate for lunch. This was an interesting and rewarding experience and we hope to recreate these dishes at home! However, despite all of these amazing aspects of our stay in the riad, the overriding memory will be of the wonderful team who went out of their way to look after us. Nothing was too much trouble them. For instance, one evening we had asked if the fire could be lit on our return from dinner and upon entry, one of the members of the team immediately took care of this and the fire was lit within seconds. The team also gave us recommendations for our trip and helped to arrange our day excursion. We did not need to worry about a thing! A particularly special mention to Hayat and Hajiba who are both incredibly caring and kind. They always greeted us with smiles and were on hand to help with any query. We were made to feel so welcome and it felt like a real home from home. We really hope to return in the future and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Marrakesh.
