My partner and I can’t thank Riad Safar enough for looking after us during the latest 6.8 earthquake that hit Marrakesh. The hosts made sure we were all okay, informed us that the building was safe to stay in and made us breakfast the following morning (which was delicious). We left the next day in light of the events and we were able to pay 1 night instead of the 4 previously booked which was very kind of the hosts. Their service was continued and excellent throughout even despite the earthquake. The riad is gorgeous and very quiet which is nice after being in the busy medina. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with comfortable beds and en suites. Thank you again!!

Excellent stay at Riad Safar. The hotel staff met our taxi in the medina and brought our bags back to riad. Our room was beautiful and spacious and we were upgraded to an even better room in the middle of our stay. We had a great breakfast made for us every morning. Staff were superb and felt like a 5 star luxury hotel! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back one day.

Be aware of this Riad I booked in January for a stay in May. The Riad then confirmed everything was good on the Monday. Saturday morning - whilst boarding the plane from Gatwick - the Riad emailed me to tell me my reservation was cancelled - no explanation why. Result was that we landed in Marrakesh with nowhere to stay. Even after visiting this Riad they could not explain the problem, but obviously they got a higher paying customer! You have been warned.

Stunningly renovated 350 year old riad in the Medina. It's beautiful, calm and quiet, and easily located near Dar El Bacha museum, a good taxi point - once you know where you are going. (NB. Google maps doesn't show it in the right alley - close location, but entirely different route! Probably easiest to save time and ask the lovely staff to come meet you) We spent 2 nights here but happily would have stayed much longer. We had the amazing junior suite, a huge space, and enjoyed the rooftop for a great breakfast, sunning and post-dinner chat. The downstairs common area is lovely for shaded relaxing too. And the bathroom copper sink and wood just fabulous, and the furnishings! Really, an amazing place. Owner stays here, and has wonderfully friendly, helpful staff.

Hello, Although it is not my habit to leave negative comments on hotels, I would however like to warn that the managers of this Riad are not really correct. They do not respect the conditions stated on their site. We had left a deposit of more than 500€ to book with them. With COVID-19 our trip has been postponed. When we wanted to change our dates the owner no longer answered us. A friend went to see them on the spot and the owner clearly stated his desire not to reimburse us, nor to postpone the dates, and even worse, to make no move! In addition I wish to warn that the Riad is extremely difficult to find Good luck!!!
