This was one of the more ‘traditional’ hotels in which we stayed. It was on the older side. Our room was in what was described as the annexe. It was a Nice room of decent size. As is typical in Japan everything was provided plus the extra bonus of chargers and a blue tooth speaker if wanted. It was the only hotel during our stay to provide a Nespresso machine. . Very traditional pyjamas i Liked the room as there was a lobby area in which we could accommodate and easily access suitcases without falling over them. There was a Decent size bathroom with a small bath and shower. The whole room was very clean except for some mould on bathroom tiles. The Shower is good if your height is up to about 6’ 2”. Shower head holes needed bit of lime scale cleaning to flow better. Please note- the shower is in deep raised bath. This was Harder for a short person to get in and out. I Thought I would slip so installation of a grab handle or step would be very helpful. The Beds were very comfortable and the single beds are 4’ which is a good size. The Room did get cold but good heating provided. Plenty of plugs. Room was Very quiet. Breakfast mainly traditional Japanese but some limited western food available. Very good Japanese breakfast. Public baths are on site . There is free Shuttle departing at fixed times to the station which you pre book. Suggest you book the night before. There is a small Cafe attached to the hotel with a small shop. Good atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Location within walking distance of anything you want to see in Matsumoto and the station.

This hotel was booked as part of tour of Japan and we were there for only 1 night. As a solo traveller I was allocated a single room which was very small. It did however have a large bed which based on the space available was probably too big for the room. In order to get my case open to just get a small number of items I needed for one night I had to rearrange the chair and table so I could get the case open. The “closet” if you can call it that, was so small it only had 3 hangers and was probably only about 18inches wide right next to the door. I wouldn’t want to stay in this room more than one night. On the basis you pay a single supplement I find it poor that we solo travellers are given such small and inadequate rooms. In addition, as a tour from the UK, hardly anyone spoke English so it was hard to get the staff to understand when something went wrong, like my kettle which wasn’t working. In credit to the Reception staff, once I finally managed to get him to understand the problem he resolved it very quickly. Finally when we went to breakfast at 7.45am they were already full and we had to wait about 10 mins or so, then a number of the breakfast items had run out. There were 2 coach tours in and they didn’t seem to be able to cope or cater for the amount of people there. I did find the staff very friendly and helpful, so it certainly isn’t their fault. I wouldn’t recommend it for solo travellers.

I used it for a family trip during the spring break. There is a charge because I came by car, but I was able to park in the parking lot and go sightseeing at Matsumoto Castle and Matsumoto Station. It's a good walk course. The parking lot and the front desk 々 were all kind. The room was newly renewed so it was very clean and I was grateful that almost all the equipment I needed was available. The breakfast at Gust was delicious. I would like to stay when I visit Nagano Prefecture from now on

This Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the main station making it ideal for travellers using public transport. Its quite a modern hotel with well furnished rooms although probably better suited for single occupancy as the bed is against the wall making a difficult exit for one of you during the night. If you stay less than 3 nights there isnt a maid service but you leave your dirty towels and rubbish outside your room in the morning and clean towels are there upon your return later in the day, initially we thought it a bit odd but it meant we didn’t have to tidy our room before the cleaners came in lol. There is a coffee service in reception in the mornings and the hotel does provide complimentary items i.e. hair bobbles, razor etc. We were room only here so cant comment on the food.

I chose this hotel in front of the station for the next day to use a car rental. It is a hotel of the Alpico Transportation Group. The receptionist is on the 2 floor. Check-in requires a machine hand input by yourself, and all payments, card keys and breakfast tickets are out of the machine. So payment is prepaid. It depends on the way of thinking whether it is troublesome or convenient. 1 person 8000 yen with breakfast. There was Wi-Fi, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and there was no particular dissatisfaction. There are also restaurants and taverns in front of the station for dinner, so there is no worry.

Check-in uses an automatic check-in machine, but even when I entered the building, the front desk staff just looked silently and didn't even greet me. Also, the guests who tried to check in at the front desk were cold to use the check-in machine. (If you don't support check-in at the front desk, you don't need ２ people at the counter. １ Why don't you stand at the person check-in machine and guide you?) Alpico Hotel Group ”Shoho” It was the decisive factor to use the large bath, but only 10 people can be used per free transfer bus １ flight (１ day ２ flight), and there was no explanation from the front staff. The rooms were not cleaned, dust was accumulated on the desk, refrigerator, and the head of the bed, and the mirror was not wiped. (I went to the front desk and borrowed a rag and cleaned it myself)

Less than 5 minutes walk from JR station, my moderate twin room is very spacious and comes with a work desk. Beddings are very comfortable and plenty of amenities are provided. They even have complimentary supper service at night. We didn't get to try the breakfast but they look great with a lot of varieties. This is a great place to stay in Matsumoto.

We wanted to treat ourselves for an anniversary so booked in for a night. It is not cheap - we paid SGD 770 for the night, but it was a good experience all the way from check in to check out. The price includes dinner, which was plated beautifully and featured items like lobster sashimi, beef stew and bracken tempura. Breakfast was done buffet style and had both Japanese and Weatern dishes. There are onsens as well. We opted to pay 3000 yen for a private couple onsen for 45 minutes, but there are also public baths on the 4th floor. The bath on the 3rd floor, just off reception, switches between males in the morning and the ladies in the evening. The room was largish and I loved that the yukatas came in a variety of sizes. There is no room clean up till check out, but they do lay futon beds in the room. The room was well appointed and had a great view, small fridge, a safe, and coffee and tea making facilities. There was even a coffee bean grinder. There were ample power points. Wifi was okay though it did drop now and then. There are separate toilet and shower rooms. There is a souvenir cum general store in the lobby where you can even buy condensed milk ice cream. Staff are friendly and efficient. They do have a free shuttle bus from 5 pm at the Matsumoto train station to the hotel, and one the following morning at 9 am and 10 am back to the station.

Stayed on weekdays. It is a great inn with parking lots and hot springs. The day I stayed was ８ the view bath on the floor was assigned to the man hot water. On the ８ floor, there are open-air baths and jacuzzi, and during the daytime, the distant view is enjoyed, and there is a body in the hot spring. The next morning, when I asked for a departure, I brought the car to the entrance and prepared it. Next time I will come to enjoy only hot water slowly. Thank you for your care.

GGuest UserI was surprised to find such a cozy space even though it was not far from the city. The exterior of the facility is showing its age, but once you step inside, that image will disappear. Heartwarming customer service from employees. It's a small inn, so it's possible to be attentive. I am satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the food. The sake was delicious and I ended up drinking too much. I was grateful for the shuttle service I received on my way there and back, and I was able to hear a lot of interesting stories on the train, which made me feel very lucky. I would like to visit again if I want to meet the landlady.

GGuest UserI walked from Kita Matsumoto Station to the hotel. ７ minutes? It is a walk arrival. The woman at the front desk had a smile and there was no unpleasant impression. The room was a room with Matsumoto Jo castle on the top floor. Especially at night Matsumoto Jo castle was the best and clean. The room size is a bit small, but I think it is reasonable to think of the price. The public bath is the feeling that it is said to be a small bath. ５ people are full if they enter. Moreover, there was no corona countermeasure at all. It is a breakfast restaurant, but it uses tong in the form of Viking, but the corona countermeasure is halfway and it is not possible. Use of disposable gloves for decadac and finger disinfection at the entrance properly. I didn't use several sets of disposable gloves. The employee doesn't know the face. In addition, there are couples who do not have a mask and are surprised. I think it is better to use care on the hygiene side because it is such a time. Dinner was surprisingly close to Matsumoto station.

Free of decorations, it is distinguished by its practical nature, suitable for a short stay in the city. Clean and aseptic room, 1.30 cm beds. It offers breakfast that is not very attractive for the Western guest. Strict to the point of complying with the check-in time to the room.

AAnonymous UserTaking a taxi from Matsumoto Station costs about 2,700 yen. If you take a private train and get off at Kita-Matsumoto Station, it is cheaper to take a taxi.
The hotel facilities are good, the public bath is large, and the room is not small. But what left the biggest impression on me was the food and WiFi.
The food here, whether for dinner or breakfast, is of a very high standard. As for the Wi-Fi, it's surprisingly fast.
The hotel service is definitely very good, especially in order to serve tourists from all over the world. The hotel can provide English and Japanese services, and there are introductions in Chinese and Korean.
Hoshino’s standards are indeed very high.

GGuest UserIt is a convenient location hotel to go out by train or bus from Matsumoto station. The decisive thing was that there was a bath on the 7th floor of the top floor, the reasonable price of the accommodation, and there was a further discount if you stayed overnight. I didn't get lost much, and I liked the bath and decided. There were three washing machines on the fourth floor, 200 yen for washing machines, 100 yen for drying machines, and the bath on the top floor was larger than the cherry blossoms thought, and the washroom was beautiful. The bath also had cosmetic water, emulsion, cleaning liquid, and body soap, shampoo and conditioner were also famous manufacturers. From the room, it is ok with yukata and slippers, so I entered twice a day like a hot spring inn. You can take a bath at 1 a.m. at night and 6 a.m. in the morning. The unit bus in the room was never used. Daily cleaning is a magnet card on the door, and even if you want to do not need cleaning, you will put a new yukata, bath towel, towel and amenities in a bag and hung them on the door knob. The good thing with the room facilities is the bright reading lights and 2 door frozen refrigerator, chairs like used in the office. The window was not open, but those who want to ventilate can open it if they borrow the key to the window. Outside the window, I could only see the office of the next building, but I almost went out, so I didn't care. I stayed for 3 nights, but the front desk was polite. There is a Japanese restaurant on the 1 floor, and breakfast can be eaten there. 1 thousand yen once. At dinner, there were couples in yukata, business guests, etc. The station is close, but the sound of the train is hardly heard, and it is quiet at night. The meal was also fun to eat because there were restaurants, taverns, dining rooms, etc. of color 々 genres nearby. Convenience stores are several stores and supermarkets are large underground of bus terminals. It is a hotel that I want to use when I go to Matsumoto again.

Vv35p_tripThis is located about 5 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Ojoguchi, and there is a convenience store, but it is in a quiet location. I think the basic structure of the hotel is old, but it is usually clean. To the front desk for check-in‥‥the front desk felt style, classic flowing and was usually a good response. The room uses a card key to enter. The bathroom toilet in the room is a bit spacious, but there is also a washlet, usually clean and amenities and attached facilities in the room are normal. (The slippers were made of cloth. There was also a refrigerator, dryer and electric kettle (no security box)) The bed was a wide single bed and the height of the pillow was just right. The network had wi-hi and sometimes felt a little slow. The meal was handmade and boream and delicious. It was a quiet, comfortable, convenient and cost-effective hotel.

However, you can get by with google translate. There is an Onsen that is shared amongst the guests, however you can flip a sign on the door to mark it as occupied so you can use it alone. The only real downside is that the staff clean around 9-10am in the morning. So if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep in this probably isn’t the best stay for you. Though If you’re an early riser and like to try different types of hostels this place is going to be perfect. They also have free hire bikes you can use to get around.

KKvaldirThe location is very great with all the nature around. The htoel. Has a little shop as well, but ofcourse the best thing about the hotel is the onsen. The onsen is open 24/7,so you can make use of it whenever you want. The resutaurant closes relatively early, and you must reserve it, but otherwise you can buy some very affordable microwave food in the shoop, and they will warm it up for you, so that was a great service. Great place!

GGuest UserNo shower available inside the room, we need to use the hot spring. However, the water was not hot enough! I found two Japanese ladies use both indoor and outdoor hot spring just for few minutes and then left with disappointment.
The food qualities of both dinner and breakfast were not up to the standards of “Onsen” hotels in Japan at this price level I had gone before. Unfortunately this hotel is the only one available for booking on Trip.com near the area of Kamicochi. Will not recommend to anyone.

Vv35p_togetherThis is not a downtown area about 8 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station Alps, and there is no convenience store nearby, but it is in a quiet location. I think the hotel itself structure is old but beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ was usually a good response. There are amenities in the lobby and you can take it freely and there is a free drink service. The room usually uses the key to enter. The bathroom toilet in the room is a bit small, but there is also a washlet, usually clean and amenities and attached facilities in the room are normal. (The slippers were vinyl. There was also a refrigerator and dryer security box electric kettle) The bed was a wide single bed and the height of the pillow was just right. The network was wi-hi and the speed was good. The meal was usually delicious with many kinds for impossible Vikings. It was a quiet, convenient and cost-effective hotel.
