If you have ever stayed in an English countryside B&B, you will know what to expect. A welcoming hostess, a large old house sitting in a large, well maintained garden. Converted and upgraded for a very comfortable stay. We spent a night in the "Renaissance"room. Large room, comfy king size bed, quality linen and large ensuite. There is a communal sitting room and breakfast room . We enjoyed the cooked breakfast that was included in the rate. There is off street parking and it is an easy walk into the main street area for an evening meal - we found a good one at the local pub !

We were lucky to get a room here when every other place was booked out. It was the smallest room, but was very clean, everything worked and the large bed was comfortable. The building is set back from a quiet street so is very quiet with birds chirping in the morning. It is popular with cyclists during the riding season. The host Susan is fully committed to ensuring guests have a comfortable stay, so there is a personal touch without being invasive. You book your breakfast time. Breakfast is in a charming side room, full of light and a warm fireplace in the cooler months. Everything is well set out with an excellent home cooked menu to choose from. We had the omelette which was delicious but we saw other guests ordering yummy pancakes topped with fresh berries. These’s plenty of off-street parking. The place is also very good value.

The Old Nunnery gave me one of the best stays I've had in quite some time. The venue is beautiful and has some very spacious and comfortable rooms, with some common rooms where you can sit on lounge chairs or eat the complimentary breakfast. The service was excellent, the hosts were very accommodating and helpful, doing everything to make my stay pleasant. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be coming back.

The old nunnery is ideal for a few couples wanting to stay together. We were a group of 7 and were able to book out all 4 rooms so had the place to ourselves. The rooms we good, beds we very comfortable, good water pressure in the shower and the breakfasts were great (thanks Lisa)

Wow. Suzanne is justifiably proud of this beautiful boutique hotel. The facilites are excellent. Big bedrooms and some great common area in front of the fire (or outside in amnazing grounds if it had been warmer). With just 4 bedrooms it is idea for a group of friends (though equally perfect for just one couple - as we were) The breakfast completes a great stay.

Sadly we were only able to stay at this charming B and B for one night. We received a warm welcome on arrival and after a long drive enjoyed winding down with a cup of tea and home backed brownies. Our room was quiet and extremely comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We would love to return.

Suzanne is an exceptional host with a balanced approach to conversation and giving privacy. We went for 4 days for our son's wedding and Suzanne, her beautiful home and gardens made it a fabulous time. You could want for nothing from the lovely breakfast with the log fire in the conservatory, to the freshly baked goods left each day. A tranquil sun spot in the sheltered garden to the garden benches under the trees. Choose your spot for coffee or wine because you have choices. Enjoyed every minute and will be returning to relax more next time without the pressures of a wedding. Thank you Suzanne and co it was Perfect!

We loved our four-night stay, sampling three of the four rooms on offer! Loved:the Renaissance room for its luxurious bathroom, including bathtub;the Orchid room for its light;and the Parisienne for its sweetness. Suzanne makes the best brownies ever! Lisa makes a delicious breakfast served in the lovely conservatory. The lounge is a gorgeous space, replete with fresh flowers from the beautiful garden.

A lovely couple of days spent in this Boutique hotel at Miss Vale. The owner is charming and is tastefully restoring the place, paying so much attention to detail. We stayed in the Renaissance Room which had a very comfortable King size bed. Breakfast was very nice and served in a very pretty conservatory. Beautiful place for our first break out of virtual lockdown. Highly recommended .Thank you Suzanne. Will hopefully be back.
