I have stayed in the best homestay, the boss is really very, very good, very sentimental. 1. I have been chatting with the boss before I came. I asked this and that. The boss was very enthusiastic to answer. I felt embarrassed to be polite, so I brought Yunnan and Hunan specialties to the boss. People are mutual. 2. The boss’s cooking sentence is good. My friend and I bought the dishes for the boss to make. I dare to say that it is 10 times better than the outside. Hahaha, I sincerely suggest that you try the boss’s craftsmanship. After eating, I have been talking to us about life and ideals. During the chat, we also sent us beer. The money for the processing materials also reduced me by 20 yuan. 3. Because we came here in the off-season, the boss upgraded us to the best room. We can see the sunrise from the room early in the morning, which is great. 4. I have always wanted to have a chance to visit Shengsi, the easternmost part of the motherland, to see the sunrise and sunset. I chose Wind Villa because it only takes ten minutes to walk to the East Cliff Cliff to watch the sunrise, and it is very close to the No Man's Village and Xiyang Bay to watch the sunset. In addition, you can watch the sunset and the waves of the sea by sitting in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the room. As soon as I entered the hotel, I was attracted by the pure white decoration style, which was full of Instagram style. I felt that I would not feel lonely drinking coffee here for an afternoon. The water curtain flower room here is also very romantic and super suitable for taking pictures. Go home, where shall I go? The affairs of life come and go like a shuttle. Wait for leisure to watch the autumn wind and the clear waves of Luo River!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel on Gouqi Island. The room offered a beautiful sea view, which made our stay especially relaxing and memorable. The location is also very convenient—just a short walk to a lively food street with plenty of dining options to choose from. What truly made this experience exceptional, though, was the owner’s kindness and hospitality. When we unfortunately fell ill during our stay, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His support during that time meant a lot to us. He also kindly helped arrange transportation, which made everything much easier. To top it off, we were welcomed with a thoughtful gift at check-in, which was a lovely touch. I really can’t rate this hotel highly enough—both for the facilities and, most importantly, for the genuine care and generosity shown to us.

The environment is quiet and natural. The ingredients are fresh, all eaten at the homestay, and you need to order in advance. It turns out that my decision is completely correct, the proprietress is delicious and the price is close to the people. It is far more delicious and affordable than the food stalls outside. After dinner, go for a walk on the beach. I went back to the homestay for breakfast the next day, and then I could eat it. It was very rich and full. The last meal I bought seafood for the proprietress to process, like this seafood.

One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh. First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle. The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got. They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai. Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure! Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

The guesthouse is tucked away in a quiet corner of the countryside, so peaceful at night you can hear insects chirping and frogs croaking. The decor is comfortable, and the rooms are quite nice, easily accommodating two adults and two children, with a balcony. I noticed a slight odor in the room, but my family thought it was fine. Opening the balcony door, the air was filled with the pungent smell of fertilizer freshly applied to crops – nauseating! Restaurants nearby are expensive and unappetizing; I recommend renting a car to eat in the county town. The room clearly includes breakfast, but when we inquired in the morning, they said it wasn't prepared and required advance booking – please remember this. Although there was a small sign indicating it, we weren't informed during check-in and ended up spending 90 yuan on takeout. The 20 yuan beach voucher included with the booking was ignored; we didn't ask about it. In conclusion, the service was poor, the experience was mediocre, and I wouldn't go back.

After arriving at Shengsi from Sanjiang Wharf, you can go directly to the Bernaki Lake Beach Store to check in. The distance between the two places is about 3 kilometers. It only takes about 8 minutes to drive by car. The hotel can walk for a few minutes to the Jihu Beach known as the ”South Beidaihe”. The sand is fine and soft. It is the core place to visit Shengsi Island. It is recommended to put down your luggage after the first day of arrival and go straight to Jihu Beach. During the day, you can experience water projects such as beach go-karts, motorboats, banana boats, etc. You can also step on the sand and waves barefoot, find a beach chair to blow the sea breeze in a daze; In the evening, the sunset dyed the sea orange, taking pictures beyond the film. After night, you can visit the nearby Jinsha Road Seafood Street, eat a fresh seafood barbecue, and be lucky to catch up with the beach bonfire party. If you want to experience the niche game, you can bring a small flashlight to find small crabs and sand oysters on the beach. It is full of fun. The next day, it is recommended to get up early to Liujingtan or monk set to watch the sunrise on the sea. The white lighthouse is equipped with orange morning glow, which is the most classic film scene in Shengsi. Before returning, you can visit the Donghai Fishing Field Museum to learn about the fisherman's culture in Shengsi, or ride along the left bank road for a while, blowing the sea breeze to see the cliffs, sea of flowers and fishing villages connected into an island scenery. After that, go to the Berna Hotel to rest, it is very convenient to go back to Shenjiawan Pier from here. The temperature difference between day and night on the island is large. It is recommended to bring a thin coat. Remember to do a good job of sun protection on the beach and wear slippers that are convenient for stepping on the sand. It is very convenient to drive. It is recommended to book the ferry tickets in advance on the official channel. Pay attention to reserve enough time to go to the pier.

The boss is very good, pointed us to a small road to no one's village, save a lot of time in summer, also help us process seafood, the homestay is close to the beach, the room is not bad, the island is really beautiful, come back next time, recommend recommended!

The boat back to Shanghai was canceled, so we had to stay overnight. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from the pier, new, clean, and well-maintained. Check-in was quick and efficient. While the staff were not fully familiar with foreign guest registration, they handled it professionally and made an effort to resolve everything smoothly. We booked two rooms, both spacious and well-equipped. Service was responsive, extra towels and slippers arrived almost immediately after we requested them. Breakfast exceeded expectations, mostly Chinese options, with decent coffee. Overall, a very solid choice for a spontaneous overnight stay.

We arrived at the hotel at night and were greeted by the owner. She was incredibly beautiful, gentle, and super easy to communicate with. She was also extremely enthusiastic and went above and beyond to help us with almost everything we asked for. The hotel environment was excellent too. We were given a sea-view room, and the stunning scenery was breathtaking. The breeze coming in was wonderfully cool and refreshing. The hotel is conveniently located close to all major scenic spots and attractions, most of which are just about a 10-minute electric scooter ride away. There's also a seafood BBQ street nearby, making dining incredibly convenient.
