The biggest surprise of this trip to Nanjing was this hotel. The hotel has a history of more than 100 years, with a lot of stories and style. As soon as you enter the hotel, you will be surrounded by the unique sense of history. Photos are not enough to express the atmosphere and feeling. The housekeeper was also very enthusiastic and upgraded the room for free. After breakfast, he told us the history and story of this hotel and arranged for the children to experience the wax seal. In short, it was very interesting and satisfying.

The three-day stay at the Yihe Yangtze Hotel was far beyond my expectations - the elegant and heavy Republican-style architecture, combined with the historical heritage of Ming Dynasty wall bricks; it seemed to switch perfectly between history and modernity. The rooms were comfortable and warm, the service was meticulous and thoughtful, and I personally experienced the Ming Dynasty wall brick rubbing, which was full of historical sense. I will come back to experience it next time I have the opportunity to visit Nanjing!

Facilities: If you are looking for modern facilities, this place is not recommended, but if you like castles with stories, you must come and experience it. The overall building has been renovated, but there is no lack of memories left by history. Listening to the melodious songs and strolling in the castle, you will feel like traveling through time. In fact, what finally prompted the trip to Nanjing was this castle hotel. It was already evening when we arrived, so we couldn’t capture its flavor. A lovely story added to its beauty. The takeaway guy called and asked: "Sister, I’ve arrived at an ancient castle, are you inside?"🫢 Let me talk about the inconveniences first: According to the lobby manager, Metro Line 5 has been under construction for six years and may open in April, so transportation is inconvenient now; there are only 7 rooms in total, and there is also a villa building (third picture) that can accommodate more than a dozen people, suitable for families or small groups, and the rooms will be tight during holidays; the small balcony of my room faces the street, and it is under construction now, so there will be noise in the morning. Once the subway is repaired, some problems can be solved together. The stairs are from the early period, steeper and narrower; the wooden bed creaks when you turn over frequently... In short, don't imagine it to be too perfect🤭 What I like is the architectural style and retro design, and the manager was waiting at the door last night because I was late, and I was woken up by the sun in the morning. The breakfast waiter served the meal with a smile. The manager who changed shifts today carefully introduced Zhongshan Wharf, the ferry and the surrounding area, and also explained the history of the hotel to us.
