"The room isn't huge, but it's very clean. The hotel's location is excellent, with a bus stop just 70 meters away, making it super convenient to get to the Southeast Yunnan Market and various attractions. It's also within walking distance to Ecocycle Lake, traditional Mile snack shops, and lamb noodle restaurants. I stayed for two nights, and the hotel even offered a pick-up service from the high-speed rail station. The 'Xiaodu Xiaodu' smart assistant controlling the lights, music, and curtains in the room was incredibly convenient. Definitely worth staying here."

"Before departure, I screened a lot of Maitreya hotels, and finally finalized this newly opened season. I booked two nights and two rooms. The room was still very spacious. I bought some fruit and sat in the room to make tea and chat. It was very comfortable. At night, my friends downstairs bubble hot springs, sleep will be much better. There are many places to eat and buy around, and Maitreya is cheap to take a taxi. It is convenient to travel all season. We two take the high-speed rail from Bamei to Maitreya Station and then take a taxi to the whole season. The two friends are directly from Kunming Airport to Maitreya. The drop-off point is next to Vienna in the whole season. It takes a few steps to the whole season, so it is super convenient. This is also a comment area that someone mentioned that ”it is very close to the airport express line”. For this reason, I specially called the whole season in advance. The front desk is not very clear about this. I will write it here. It is specially written to people who don't want to toss directly from Kunming Airport! (With public transportation, you will generally take the subway to Kunming South Station at Kunming Airport, then take the high-speed rail to Maitreya Station, and then take a taxi from Maitreya Station to the whole season, it will be very tossing)"

"We chose Mile over Jianshui for a few days' relaxation primarily because we discovered the newly opened Holiday Inn there. Our five-day stay at the Holiday Inn exceeded our expectations. First off, this is a proper hotel, not one of those trendy simplified versions. What I mean is that its design and concept are genuinely geared towards providing guests with top-notch accommodation and service. The hotel boasts numerous public facilities: a bright and spacious lobby, an elegant little bar and lounge area, a kids' play corner, a starlit swimming pool, two hot spring pools with different temperatures, and a self-service laundry room. And then there's the restaurant – I absolutely have to mention it! The chef prepares a super rich breakfast every day, always with new surprises. I'm guessing the head chef is a master from Guangdong, though he told me he's from Yunnan. As for the rooms, they are large, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed, sheets, and duvet are all high-quality. What truly reflects the hotel's quality are the in-room furnishings: the Holiday Inn has chosen truly comfortable chairs and sofas, the kind you can relax in while reading or listening to music. The most valuable asset of this hotel, however, is its entire staff. Every single person is friendly and polite, genuinely caring for each guest. A big thank you to Xiao Ji at the front desk, Nancy at the bar, KoKo at the restaurant, and the ever-present Gavin and Jennifer, along with their entire team. The hotel's location is opposite Honghe Water Village. We walked to Dahou Park every day for a stroll, visited nearby coffee shops, tried various restaurants, and after dinner, headed to Honghe Water Village to enjoy the bustling atmosphere. We are very much looking forward to staying at this hotel again next time. Highly recommend this excellent place."

"Shede Hot Spring Hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our 16-day trip to Southeast Yunnan. The hotel's decor is simple yet comfortable. Private vehicles can't drive directly to the hotel entrance; only those arranged by the hotel can. The staff were very welcoming; knowing our arrival time, they sent a young man to the roadside to help us with our luggage. The hotel is located right in Honghe Water Town, which makes for a pleasant stroll after dinner. There are also plenty of restaurants along a road not far from the hotel, making dining very convenient. The hotel offers private hot springs; you just need to book a time in advance. For a one-night stay, you get two hours. You can choose from various types like sulfur, rose, or milk baths. The private spring pools are quite large, easily fitting four people, and very clean. After each use, a dedicated staff member cleans and disinfects them. The hotel also has a laundry room with two washing machines and dryers, which is very convenient for long-term travelers like us to wash clothes. It would be even better if they added some stools to the laundry room. The hotel breakfast was good, and the coffee was excellent too. We stayed in a twin room, which is the only room type at 30 square meters. It's not overly spacious, and it would be great if the hotel offered larger twin room options for guests to choose from. The bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom features a three-way dry/wet separation. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable shower. The only minor complaint is that the toilet area doesn't have a door, which can be a bit awkward when traveling with friends. Overall, this hotel is excellent and offers great value for money. I would definitely book Shede again on my next visit to Mile and have already recommended it to friends, who also loved it after their stay."

"The hotel is quite new. I read some reviews before and was a bit worried about a strong renovation smell, but I'm very satisfied after checking in. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and helpful, and the room was clean and tidy. The bedding was very comfortable to sleep on. Honestly, the hot tub was a bit simple, but it was convenient and at least I didn't have to share it, plus it was clean and hygienic. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time."

"When traveling with my girlfriend, the most important thing is the hotel, followed by the food. I've been to Mile many times, and honestly, the hotels there are generally quite good. But this time, the Mountain Retreat was a truly delightful surprise. The service was on par with a five-star international hotel. From the welcome gift to the hotel's amenities, everything made for a wonderful stay. The lobby design is a wonderful blend of Chinese and Western elements. It's spacious, and the hand-drip coffee is excellent! The hot spring on the first floor has both public and private pools, and importantly, it's very well-ventilated—not stuffy at all! Since I drove there, I parked right next to the hotel, making it convenient to go out and explore. What surprised me most was the body lotion provided by the hotel; it smelled amazing! I only used half a bottle, but I took the rest home to find the same product online, haha. It wasn't cheap, but it was definitely worth the price. In my opinion, a truly good value experience is what I call value for money! I didn't take pictures of the room because we arrived too late and slept in a mess. You can see other people's pictures. Clean and luxurious!"

"The owner upgraded my room, thumbs up! 👍 There are two massage chairs in the lobby on the first floor, free to use, which is quite useful for tourists and helps relieve some fatigue. The soaking tub in the room is about the size of a bathtub, and it fills up quickly. The only drawbacks: 1. There were no disposable tub covers. When the tub was full, I noticed some visible strips, probably unseen bath mud. I suggest providing disposable tub covers for peace of mind. 2. The shower and toilet are partially separated by glass, but they are at the same level inside. This means that showering will wet the floor around the toilet, which is inconvenient. However, overall the cleanliness was good, the bedding was nice, and the smart home features were well-designed. For a room with a private hot spring, the price of around 100 RMB during the off-season is excellent value! A must-give positive review!"
