The indoor pool looked older and not kept up with an unsteady ladder. The bathrooms looked as if they don't get a good cleaning ever, and there was hair on the bedsheets when we arrived. I honestly expected more from this price range of a hotel."

"The hotel was very clean, super nice rooms, comfortable mattresses. The beds are VERY high so a step stool would be so helpful for getting in and out. Just something you could slide beneath the bed. Also there were no spoons or stirrers or napkins, if you wanted to make coffee in the handy kitchenette area. And it would be very nice to have at least one comfortable chair in the room if you want to sit with a cup of tea or coffee - otherwise you have to climb up and sit on the bed, or on the not-so-comfortable, but handy, bench at the foot of the bed."

"Pros:Remodel looks nice, with a nice comfy bed. Nice shower Cons: AC issues in 2 different rooms, some outlets and lamps did not work. Outlets on the baseboard and kuerig wouldn’t reach it. Small rooms. I know its an old building but not comfortable for extended time Front desk ladies nice, no help at arrival door. Security guard very unpleasant"

"DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS! The small print says they can cancel the reservation. So if the time share owner gets a hair up their butt and decides they want to use it last minute, well you're going to be out of luck even if you've had the reservations in place for months. This just happened to my elderly parents and they were left to scramble for last minute lodging on a Holiday weekend. Obviously, the management and owners of this place are morally corrupt, not understanding the principle of just because you can doesn't mean you should. STAY AWAY. Let the ethically bankrupt become financially bankrupt."

"There were a few standout employees, including the doorman, the hostess/manager for the Mother's Day brunch and the housekeeping staff. That said Srdan (I believe this was his name, a younger gentleman who was most likely southeastern European.) was the overall shining star of the show. We truly can't say enough nice things about his kindness and warmth. The Vanderbilt team made this a weekend we likely will reflect on for many years to come."

"The room is not big, the air conditioner cannot be controlled in the room, I almost froze to death. The waiter had a good attitude, was happy at work, and had a relaxed and pleasant chat. The restaurant closed at 8pm and the tent curtain banged in the wind, but the staff was indifferent. The breakfast is all ready-made and of very poor quality. It feels like a rural-level farm stay. It's a waste of such a nice castle."
