The apartment hotel was a disappointment. The room was dirty, the facilities were outdated, and the service was non-existent. Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend staying here.Moroever, they penalised us after for damages we didnt cause-Worst experience of my life wiping have rather slept in the car!!

Walking distance to the lovely bay, The Hut and Wax for coffee or food. We had apartment 33 nice views of the hill and bay. Good stay even with the heavy rainfall. Only issue is the balcony floods badly so next day cannot sit out there chilling looking at the view. Heating is good, apartment clean and tidy with all you need. I’ve stayed a good few times over the last two decades always enjoy it there. Note there’s no lifts lots of up and down stairs. Parking on site.

We've been here in 2007, 2011, 2018 and recently in 2023 and this is why - lovely apartments which are spacious, modern, clean and have everything you need. Can't fault it. Absolutely stunning location which is quiet and clean. Take a look at that gorgeous sunset! Just one very small recommendation - the top bedroom of the penthouse tends to get quite hot, so maybe a fan could be kept there. Would recommend without hesitation!!

Compared to other available apartments this place was very good value for money, especially as we booked direct which was cheaper. The photos of the type of booking that we choose showed that we might get a balcony within the enclosed courtyard area, so it was a bonus when we weren't in that area. There are 2 or 3 sets of steps up to the annexe area for 4 of the apartments, so it may be wise if you are in 30, 31, 32 or 33 to pack in smaller, lighter bags. The downside to our balcony was it was directly attached to the next one, with just a wrought iron fence, so it felt like we couldn't be out at the same time. Also, despite the property being advertised as non-smoking, smoking was allowed on the balcony, and this meant that in this particular set up we had to go inside and shut the doors to avoid the smell. The kitchen was well equipped, and although a little dated, and guesses needed on which hub you were turning on, or the setting for the oven as the markings had rubbed off, everything was functional. The bathroom worked and the shower had good temperature and pressure. The beds were comfy, and the blackout blinds were a welcome addition. As the week went on, the weather became warmer and so did the apartment. We couldn't find a way to turn off the kitchen underfloor heating (the thermostat was set at 8 degrees) and was always warm, which we don't think helped. At night, when it was quiet, you could hear upstairs using the bathroom. There was a regular noise during the night, and we could only assume it was either the boiler system or the fridge in the apartment above us being very loud and amplifying through the walls. Once we were asleep though, it didn't bother us. The view was of the pub roof, but also the hill with a windy road, which could make it noisey when the doors were open, mainly due to it being to quiet everywhere - noises seemed loud as they carried. All in all, this was a holiday apartment in a lovely location, with everything that you needed at a good price for us. It hit all the basics standards of a holiday apartment.

We have been staying in apartment 23. Gorgeous location and a comfortable and nicely decorated, clean apartment. Partial sea view from the balcony, which is fabulous. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay (despite the rain storms). The apartment is well equipped and it’s just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Watergate Bay beach and a couple of lovely eateries, including the Beach Hut and Wax . But I wouldn’t recommend apartment 23 unless you’re happy to wear ear plugs or can sleep through anything. The noise every time the family upstairs moved was pretty bad. The floorboards up there are paper thin and creak and thud with every step. They were up today at 630am - so were we. They ran or paced about until midnight, we heard it all. Loudly - the ceiling shakes. We are a noisy family with two young kids so I haven’t complained. It’s not their fault. But I would highly recommend this sound issue is addressed. If we were staying more than three nights I’m not sure we could endure it.

I stayed here last year & loved it I had apartment 20 which was beautiful & had sea view from veranda. On phoning to book again I asked for the same apartment but on arrival I had been allocated no32 cause you can’t check in until 4 I arrived after this time & didn’t want to complain as knew they would be full. Apartment 32 is in the seperate apartment up two steep sets of stairs - one of which is wooden & in my opinion is dangerous. I found them skippy & the ***** of anti grip (literally 2 inches wide) is coming off on all steps. Because I was staying for 12 nights obviously I had bought a heavy ish case & now my back is in bits because of carrying it up the stairs (my back is that bad I’ve hardly been able to walk!! Something I wanted to do lots of in Cornwall). I really think of people are being allocated these rooms they should be asked about any mobility issues as there is no lift & the wooden steps are horrendous! I go down one at a time holding the rail so tight. There has been a lot of rain too so they are slippy. Apartment 32 is very dated (when I had no20 it was beautiful). It does have an amazing view - this is the best part!!! The apartment was dirty in my view, there is wooden raised ledges around the doors & kitchen space (be careful you will trip) and All around these were dirt - I think a good hoover is needed. There was cobwebs and spiders in most room. The free standing mirror in the en-suite was covered in dust, shower in main bathroom was grimy again very slippy - could do with a mat. The sofa in lounge is a bed sofa but just to sit on is so uncomfortable, table and chairs - cheap plastic chairs which I was nervous about using as thought they would collapse. Most of the cupboards I. The kitchen the nobs come off or have been replaced with odd ones, the dishwasher cupboard nob drove me mad didn’t matter how many times I screwed it on it would still come off. Had quite a bit of rain so had to keep sweeping it off the balcony as there seems to be no drainage system for the balcony. Oven tins hadn’t been cleaned they stunk of burnt meat. The bedroom has dated wooden furniture all of which is wobbly. The size of the bedroom could easily have a king size bed but it has a small double - possible 3/4 bed. Was comfortable. Curtains needed. The location is perfect to walk down to watergate bay. I am disappointed this year & definitely wasn’t worth what I paid. I did request the apartment I had last year but obviously it must of been taken. If I’d had the same as last year my review would have been glowing.
