Oeiras Hotels with Swimming Pools

Remember this place is Value for money - a Budget Hotel / Motel.   The hotel is 30 minutes drive from the airport, €37 by taxi.   The location is nice close to the two beaches within walking distance. The resort has a nice clean swimming pool only for hotel guests.   Rooms are cleaned every day, to a satisfactory level, but wear and tear are visible in each corner and especially in the bathroom. Our shower was blocked, and water was going out very slowly. I reported it to the receptionist, but nothing has been done.    Tv is in each room with many-many channels, mostly English, so the lack of entertainment in the evening can be compensated for this way.   Every unit has a built-in air conditioner.   Food was a problem. Breakfast was fine, nothing can really go wrong with chopping ham, and cheese, and placing butter, and fruits on the buffet.   Lunch and dinner are a problem. I don’t think that there is any experienced chef working in the kitchen.   All was dry, without taste, and re-heated many times. Vegetable from Lidl or Aldi cans.  Out of 10 stars, food would get only 1 – not even that.   The staff at reception and in the dining, the room was very friendly and helpful.     So overall, go for it, but don’t pay too much – it’s a budget place.

Staying at the apartment hotel for the second time, the facilities are very convenient, simple kitchen equipment, the sea view outside the window, much better than the hotel and the downtown hotel in Lisbon, and Uber is very convenient, next time I return to Lisbon, I will still be this hotel.

We chose the Vila Gale because of the proximity to Lisbon (we had business all over Portugal but wanted to visit Lisbon, too) and the view of the ocean - and we were not disappointed at all. The welcome was warm and friendly, and our suite with separate living and sleeping room, big terrace, garden/pool and ocean view was very pleasant as well - everything in order, kept clean, and a lot of space (our youngest daughter, 2, was with us, and she needs a l o t of space...). Parking was in the adjacent garage (good thing because the town itself does not offer too much space for cars). Breakfast: fantastic and outstanding. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy, a wide range of fresh everything, plus champagne, in an antique setting. For those who enjoy such ambiance, this is paradise. Dinner: in the same room as breakfast, and equally pleasant. Dishes are delicious, and service is flawless, too. Spa area: we used their indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath - all of which are kept in excellent state, offer sufficient space, and a quiet and relaxing time. The location itself is fine for those who have a car, Lisbon is nearby - 20 minutes to the centre when there is no rush hour or jam. Without car - it might appear a bit off, though. Overall: definitely worth a da capo, and really nothing to complain about at all - we loved it.

The hotel is very close to Lisbon in transport, located nearby. The place something curiosous, reminded me of the Olympics. For my taste it over the moquette as this may cause a problem of acars and hygiene. The rest of the rooms are quite correct.

It was a pleasant experience, the staff very helpful and efficient; breakfast was tasty and varied. The room had good dimensions for two people, a comfortable and spacious bed, plenty of storage space, very effective black-out curtains and was well air conditioned. The bathroom had a good shower, with great power and well regulated in terms of temperature. However, the soundproofing of the room could be better.

ENG: Summary: Somehow, *********** permits this barely-2-stars hotel to be verified with 4. The only thing good here are the surprisingly large rooms and the swimming pool. Possible one the most peculiar hotel I have been to in my life. Firstly, it is almost impossible to get there with a GPS. The only sign is a tiny one saying ”Local Hotel” in the front door. Secondly, the hotel is somehow 4 stars, when in reality it doesn't go over 2 stars. Some examples of this: horribly low maintenance the walls haven't been cleaned probably since it was constructed. Moreover, there is humidity problems in the hotel. The breakfast, is terribly bad. Resembling the breakfast of a backpacking hostel. Moreover, the ”room service” is basically non-existent, in which they give you ”clean” towels (not enough for everyone, we were 4, they gave us 2.) The only good thing I can think about in this hotel is probably the surprisingly large rooms and the swimming pool. El desayuno, es terriblemente malo. Parecido al desayuno de un hostel para mochileros. Además, el ”servicio de habitaciones” es básicamente inexistente, en el que te dan toallas ”limpias” (no alcanzan para todos, éramos 4, nos dieron 2). Lo único bueno que se me ocurre en este hotel es probablemente las habitaciones sorprendentemente grandes y la piscina

The staff were very helpful & friendly from the moment we checked in. The room was spacious cleaned daily & had lovely view of the Tagus from the balcony!! Breakfast was lovely with lots of choices, warm & cold!! The walking access to the hotels difficult but it won't stop us returning foe the great service & relaxing hols!!!
