Hotel near Gaoqi International Airport Area,Xiamen 1.3% of visitors choose this area

The hygiene was good. The location is super convenient for airport transfers, just a three to five-minute drive. However, you'll have to put up with almost no food options downstairs or in the immediate vicinity. I didn't use any facilities, as there's no gym or anything. They mentioned a laundry room, but I didn't check it out or use it. The TV was a nice touch, offering live CCTV channels directly, which most hotels usually charge for.

We highly recommend this hotel. They provide a free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. The distance is only about 10 minutes from the airport. Since we were transiting in Fuzhou, we intentionally chose a hotel that was close to the airport. The hotel is clean and modern, and one of the main highlights is their receptionists, they are truly friendly and caring. The hotel is also not far from the market; it only took me about 7 minutes to get there. Within a 15-minute walk, I was even able to find a halal restaurant. I highly recommend Lanou Hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Fuzhou again, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming; I was very pleased. On the first day, after watching the 'You Shen' parade, my throat was irritated from all the firecrackers. Coming back to the hotel and finding complimentary white fungus soup was a really thoughtful touch. The only downside was a photography studio we went to based on a recommendation from the Shangri-La newspaper. The hotel's intention was good, trying to help us find good service, and we trusted them. However, when we got to the studio, we found out they had moved. We had made an appointment the day before, and only when we arrived were we told to go to a different address. The rest of the photo shoot was just awful. I wouldn't recommend it at all; you'll regret it. The makeup products were dirty, and the final photos were terrible. As for the hotel stay itself, I was very satisfied.

Hotel near West Lake Park Area,Fuzhou 1.2% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User 2026.02.23
This year, I brought my family to Fuzhou for Chinese New Year, and choosing the Lakeside Hotel truly delivered on the 'lake views + Fujian charm' experience! A private pathway gets you into West Lake Park in just 2 minutes on foot, perfect for a morning run through the mist or an evening stroll to see the lanterns without battling crowds at the main gate. It's also within walking distance to Sanfang Qixiang, and the Ximen station on Metro Line 4 isn't far, making taxis to Yantai Mountain or the Provincial Museum super convenient. The dining was an absolute Fujian feast! The breakfast's freshly made Guobianhu, Bian Shi, and fried oyster cakes with shrimp oil were soul-satisfying – you can sample all of Fuzhou's local snacks right here at the hotel! The Buddha Jumps Over the Wall at the Chinese restaurant was rich and gelatinous, and the Scallop and Snail Slices with Red Yeast Rice were incredibly fresh. The grand spiral staircase in the lobby bar and the moon gate in the back garden were fantastic for photos, especially if you're wearing Hanfu. The service details were impeccable: the concierge proactively helped with luggage, the front desk provided a hand-drawn map of West Lake, fresh fruit was delivered daily, and robot deliveries were quick. Both the elderly and children were very satisfied with this Spring Festival trip! A minor drawback was waiting times during peak dining hours, and some soundproofing in the older sections of the building could be better, but these didn't detract from the overall experience at all. If you want an immersive experience of Fuzhou's poetic charm, this is definitely the place to choose!

Pros: The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to the old town, just a ten-minute walk away. For a holiday stay, the value for money was pretty good. The staff were really warm and even gave us a thoughtful souvenir. The bedding in the room was quite comfortable. There are many restaurants nearby, and one 'steamed土菜' place was fantastic. Cons: The soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. Also, due to the design, some rooms might only have windows facing the courtyard, so I'd recommend closing the curtains once you're in the room. Overall: This is a hotel that meets the needs of a typical trip.

1. Located near Wenzao subway station, it's quite close to Xiamen North Railway Station. 2. The in-room facilities are decent. I stayed for two nights, and they cleaned the room every day. 3. The front desk upgraded my room type for free. 4. Although I booked a package with hotel breakfast, the breakfast was truly nothing to write home about. However, considering the price for a hotel with a window and breakfast in a relatively central location on Xiamen Island during the student winter break, I really can't complain too much. Anyway, there are breakfast places right across the street and downstairs from the hotel.

Zhangzhou Sanbao Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel was an amazing experience! The elegant modern Chinese style decor, the stunning river view from the room, the clean and spacious rooms with all the amenities, the superb location near Wanda Ancient City, the generous breakfast, the fantastic swimming pool and gym, and the attentive and thoughtful service from the duty manager, Xiao Wu – a top choice for any trip to Zhangzhou! 👍

Well located. Looks fancy. Dated interiors for the room and not so clean. Very expensive mini bar and instant food offered in the room. Service was cold, as the hotel front desk receptionist did not smile not greet at all. All the staff also seem to ignore me and looked indifferent. Well located beside Wanda Plaza though. If there are better choices, give this a miss.

Coming to Minnan for Chinese New Year, I randomly picked this hotel under the InterContinental brand. The location is excellent, right by the subway entrance, with plenty of restaurants and a shopping area nearby. They even offered a New Year's Eve dinner (reservations required). The front desk service was absolutely fantastic, especially KIKI, who helped us with all sorts of issues and made us feel right at home. I'll definitely be back!

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

DDajianalidao-lasipaermingyuzhenThe service was great! The hotel lobby had a festive atmosphere and activities for Chinese New Year. My room offered views of both the sea and the bustling pedestrian street nearby. The location is superb, with excellent transport links. Zhenhai Road Metro Station is right outside, and a bus stop is just out the side door, making it super convenient to get to Xiamen University and other attractions. If traffic is bad, you can even walk to Nanputuo Temple. Plus, Zhonghua City shopping mall is right next door, offering plenty of shopping and dining options. The only minor downside is that the hotel's decor feels a bit outdated.

MM672206****The hotel room I booked was a Luxury Executive River View Room, facing the southwest corner. The views and natural light were excellent, and privacy was high. It's truly one of Fuzhou's top room types. The interior space is large, with mostly wooden flooring and some carpeting – very impressive. The hotel also features a pool and gym with fantastic views, as well as an afternoon tea restaurant, all of which are of a very high standard. The afternoon tea cakes are freshly made, and the breakfast selection is quite rich and delicious, with fresh and light flavors. If I had to mention any shortcomings, it would be that some in-room facilities could be upgraded. For instance, the toilet isn't automatic, and the showerhead and faucet operation are a bit too traditional and impractical. There aren't full-room electric curtains, and the TV clarity isn't great. Also, the toothbrushes and toothpaste aren't from a well-known brand. If they could upgrade these details, it would be perfect. **Cleanliness**: Very clean and tidy, satisfactory. **Service**: There's butler service and reception at the entrance to help with luggage, etc. Check-in required queuing due to many guests, but the service felt very good. **Environment/Location**: The location is excellent, right in the city center. Minjiang Park is right at your doorstep, and nearby shopping malls and attractions are not far, all within a short taxi ride. This room design is very suitable for couples.

11360195****The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs. The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious. The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

WwmzsindyThis is my second time staying at the Swiss Grand Xiamen. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, directly opposite Heping Wharf, and the subway station is also a 5-minute walk away... Service: During this stay, my child caught gastroenteritis, and the hotel graciously delivered complimentary congee with side dishes to our room every morning. I'm truly grateful for their kindness. Every evening, a staff member would also bring us a small snack platter. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's design and ambiance. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. It featured a projector, an automatic toilet, and smart room modes; with just a press of a button, the lighting and other settings would adjust automatically. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. There's a courier station just a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast spread offered a good variety too! Everything tasted delicious – flavorful, not too salty or greasy. I especially recommend the *jiuniang* (sweet fermented rice soup), Sihuanhua, fried eggs, and the freshly made noodles. The staff were all very warm and friendly, always greeting us. Knowing we had traveled a long distance, they even gave us a small gift bag containing some snacks and water to help us re-energize for our journey. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! (They even upgraded us for free as our originally booked room type wasn't available due to a late check-out. *Please note: The attached photo is of the upgraded room, not our original booking.*)
