Hotel near Wan Chai and Causeway Bay,Hong Kong 7.1% of visitors choose this area
SShenzhenFoodie 2026.01.04
The hotel is located in the city center and close to shopping areas in Causeway Bay. It is also close to the Causeway Bay metro so it is easy to travel around Hong Kong. The hotel is clean, and Ms. Chalette, the staff member, was helpful throughout my registration. My room is on the 34th floor, close to the swimming pool. However, the pool is closed due to the weather. The gym is on the B2 floor, which is in the basement area. I haven’t checked the gym, though. To get to my room, I have to change the elevator on the 31st floor to another elevator.  The regular elevator is slow but the elevators from 31 to 34 are fast. My room is big with a high ceiling, and clean. There is a big bathtub in the room as well. The view is awesome which is Victoria Harbor and Victoria Park. However, the heater in the room didn’t work properly so it was always colder inside. Overall, except for the heater that didn’t work, and the slow elevator, I do enjoy my stay here. If it is not expensive, I might stay here again.

Arrived around 2 PM and was pleasantly surprised that I could check in already. Every staff member I passed greeted me warmly. The facilities and service were decent and met expectations. However, the price fluctuation is quite extreme. I'd expected prices to be higher due to the holiday coinciding with a concert, but they actually dropped closer to the date. It seems that with convenient transportation, staying in Hong Kong itself is now just an option. Definitely no need to book a hotel in Hong Kong far in advance anymore.

The hotel is located next to the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin, offering great views. It's lovely to go for a run or a stroll along the river in the morning and evening. The room's cleanliness was acceptable, though it was very small, which is typical for Hong Kong. We forgot to bring a travel adapter, and unfortunately, the hotel didn't have any to lend or provide, so we couldn't charge our phones all night.

The SkyCity Hotel in Hong Kong based on your experience: --- SkyCity Hotel in Hong Kong offers a modern and newly designed experience. However, be mindful of the early check-in fee, as it can add significant costs to your stay. My experience was mixed; I booked one night on April 4 via UnionPay and another on Trip.com, plus two additional nights on the 5th. To my surprise, they charged me for early check-in, which felt excessive. Additionally, the restaurant didn't meet expectations, as the food quality was disappointing. Overall, while the hotel has potential, the extra charges and dining issues detracted from my experience. --- Feel free to ask for any modification.

My first time staying here honestly it's a very nice hotel, clean, comfortable bed and clean bathroom that's all I need 😉. Easy access from the airport you take bus A31 (cost you only 20Hkd, about an hour journey) stop very close to the hotel, just a minute walk. They have a shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui as well for the in-house guests. So far I'm loving my stay at Panda Hotel

This hotel is in a great location, midway between Admiralty and Wan Chai stations, making it super convenient to get anywhere. You can even walk to Causeway Bay, passing countless restaurants and convenience stores along the way. My room booking included afternoon tea and breakfast. The afternoon tea was quite extensive, though they only had black tea and coffee, no milk tea. Breakfast was also decent, especially a crystal bun that was absolutely delicious. Considering the cost of food in Hong Kong, having breakfast and afternoon tea included at the hotel was definitely worth it. However, the facilities are seriously outdated. Specifically, I couldn't find my room's Wi-Fi signal, and eventually, even the staff couldn't fix it. They just gave me the Wi-Fi passwords for several nearby rooms and told me to use whichever one had the strongest signal. Also, remember to bring your own universal adapter! The hotel reception doesn't lend them out; you can only rent one. The room doors are not soundproofed at all; you can hear conversations in the hallway very clearly. I went during New Year's Day, and the room rate was over two thousand a night. For the facilities and room size, it's incredibly poor value for money!

The hotel is directly connected to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) via a covered, air-conditioned walkway (just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal). That makes it ideal for late arrivals, early departures, or long layovers. I attempted to contact the hotel front desk on New Year’s Eve, but no one answered the phone. The check-in and check-out process was fast and efficient, which I appreciated.

This is my fifth time staying here, and my first time running in the area. I completed a half marathon with ten loops, it was perfect. Victoria Harbour was too crowded, so I turned back at K11. As always, it's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, and it's super convenient to walk to Nathan Road for shopping.

The hotel boasts a convenient location with excellent public transport links. It's only a few hundred meters from the MTR Fortress Hill Station, about a 5-minute walk. There's also a 'ding ding' tram route nearby; make sure to take a ride on this century-old tram! The rooms are well-equipped with amenities like air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a refrigerator. It's worth noting that the hotel embraces an eco-friendly philosophy, so disposable toiletries (like toothbrushes and combs) and complimentary bottled water are not proactively provided. Guests should bring their own or purchase them at the hotel. The Deluxe Seaview Rooms offer views of Victoria Harbour. There are also some great local snacks around the hotel. For those with a sweet tooth, I recommend 'Fook Yuen Tang Yuan'.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Hong Kong Park, making it convenient for exploring Hong Kong Island. Public transport isn't the most accessible, so it's best for guests who enjoy walking. It's located in Mid-Levels, and there's a Fusion supermarket downstairs, which is handy for picking up daily necessities.

GGuest UserExcellent, highly recommended! The service was great, truly lives up to its reputation as a top-rated hotel. The location is fantastic, with plenty of food options nearby. Just a heads-up, avoid that small diner or 'bing sutt' called Hay (or something similar) right across the street; the food there is really bad.

GGuest UserThe hotel is connected to the Grand Century Place mall, which is a fantastic location. Mong Kok East Station is right downstairs, and the bus station isn't far either. You can walk to attractions like Prince Edward and Ladies' Market in just a few minutes via a covered pedestrian bridge. The room was very spacious, with two 1.5-meter double beds, and there was even room for a crib. The hotel lobby is luxurious, and the front desk service was excellent; check-in and check-out were quick, and they offered free luggage storage. It was a very pleasant stay, highly recommended.

11383237****This was my husband and my first time visiting Hong Kong for two days. When I booked, Island Shangri-La was the only hotel that offered a refundable option, and I had heard great things about their service, so I decided to book it. After checking in, I truly experienced the prime location. Right across from the hotel entrance is Hong Kong Park, which, although not large, is beautifully scenic. The plants and trees are all labeled, there are fountains and streams, and even a delightful aviary with various birds to observe. It's perfect for families with children. Diagonally opposite the park entrance, not far away, is the Peak Tram entrance – surprise number two! Buying a 'red diamond' ticket allowed us direct entry, saving a lot of waiting time, and we got to enjoy the stunning Victoria Harbour view from the top. Below the hotel is Pacific Place mall, a high-end shopping destination, and a short walk in front takes you to the seaside park, which is incredibly convenient. Now, about the hotel service – it was excellent, absolutely fantastic! The front desk lady was warm, thoughtful, and highly professional. She helped us get a room with a beautiful view, which was a huge plus! All the staff members were humble and polite, and their Mandarin communication was excellent. The concierges at the entrance were courteous and welcoming. For breakfast, the hot noodle bowl was quite large, and the young man serving piled on plenty of toppings, cooked just right – it was delicious, surprise number three, and definitely deserves praise. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

RRoger-BaggioThis is my fifth time visiting Hong Kong, and compared to the three hotels I've stayed at previously, this time's choice, the OZO Wesley Hong Kong, is probably the best overall. First, let's talk about its location; it's right in the core area of Wan Chai, just a three-minute walk to Wan Chai MTR Station Exit D. There are also multiple bus routes right outside the hotel, making travel very convenient. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and Lee Tung Avenue is great for a stroll, especially beautifully decorated during the New Year. The room I stayed in was about 35-40 square meters, which is quite spacious for Hong Kong, a city where every inch of land is precious. The hotel is relatively new, the facilities are all in good working order, and there's no unpleasant smell. Breakfast offers some Hong Kong-style flavors and changes daily. The price is quite reasonable for a 5-star hotel of this caliber, so the value for money is excellent.

AAnonymous UserThe environment is great, right by the bay, spacious, and the decor, ventilation, and soundproofing are all excellent. However, the hot water pressure seems to be insufficient; it only runs hot for a very short time before turning cold. I tried several times, and each time the hot water would only last for less than a minute.

AAnonymous UserLocated on the 6th floor, it's very quiet. What you see is what you get – the photos are exactly like the real thing. They provided disposable slippers for 3 adults and 1 child. While there was no bottled water or basic toiletries, they did have shower gel, shampoo, a hairdryer, hand soap, and lotion (all wall-mounted). The shower and toilet are separate cubicles, but the sink area is semi-open, so if someone is sleeping in the morning, the sound of washing is hard to isolate. The mini-bar offers a water dispenser with adjustable temperature, a capsule coffee machine with 3 capsules (including creamer, brown sugar, white sugar, and artificial sweetener). In the drawer, there were 4 Dilmah tea bags, small Mickey plastic cups, 2 plastic spoons, and 1 metal tong (guessing for sugar cubes or ice). Above, there were 4 round ceramic cups, but only one plug at the mini-bar. I didn't place the coffee capsule correctly, so I called staff for help (had to wait a bit). After they brewed one, they even replaced the 2 failed capsules, saying I could ask the front desk for more if needed. It seemed like all the staff here spoke Mandarin with a bit of a 'tongue-twister' accent. Compared to their 'tongue-twisting' Mandarin and my broken Cantonese, I chose to make them uncomfortable and communicate in Cantonese! Haha! Vouchers: 3 x 10 RMB off (no minimum spend), 2 x 100 RMB off for spending 500 RMB, and 100 RMB off per person for the buffet. The small gift is shown in picture 3. At checkout, they gave me 2 commemorative room cards. They mentioned Mickey or Donald Duck might appear in the lobby for photos, but I didn't encounter them. Hope to catch them next time!
