The room was spotless, and the service was excellent, especially RATA, the lovely lady at the front desk who checked me in. She was so kind and upgraded my room when she saw I was checking in late at night with a child. She's beautiful inside and out, and incredibly efficient – I had my room key within five minutes of checking in. Unfortunately, I overslept the next morning and missed breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The room itself was great, though I found the number of mirrors a bit unusual. Getting to the city center from the hotel is convenient with the shuttle bus, but I was in a hurry and didn't take it. The gentleman at the luggage storage was also very helpful and friendly, advising me on how to take public transport to the city. My only suggestion would be for the shuttle bus frequency to be increased. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I'm very satisfied with this level of service, especially in a place like Hong Kong where space is at a premium. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. The lobby is grand and elegant. While the room facilities are a bit dated, they are clean and tidy, and you can't hear any planes taking off or landing, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure why breakfast was only provided for one person though; that seems a bit unreasonable.

My friends and I recently stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel, and it was truly a perfect experience – definitely five stars! 📍 **Fantastic Location, Unbeatable Transport:** The hotel is situated right above Mong Kok East MTR station and directly connected to MOKO shopping mall. Downstairs, you'll find shops, a supermarket, and various restaurants, making it incredibly convenient to get anything you need. Mong Kok East station also offers easy access to Shenzhen or Hong Kong Island. 🛏️ **Spacious, Clean, and Comfortable Rooms:** For Hong Kong, the rooms are genuinely spacious and spotlessly clean. The beds are large and very comfortable, and the warm lighting and elegant decor create a very relaxing atmosphere. 🏊 **Excellent Facilities, Great Experience:** The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities. The rooftop sky pool offers panoramic views of Mong Kok, and swimming there at night while enjoying the cityscape is an absolute delight. 🙋 **Attentive Service, Felt Right at Home:** All the staff members were very polite, providing warm and thoughtful service. When checking out, the front desk lady even gave a small gift to my child, which was a lovely touch. 💡 **Overall:** The hotel is clean, and the service is efficient. It's a rare peaceful haven amidst the bustling city. Offering excellent value for money, I will definitely choose the Royal Plaza Hotel again on my next trip to Hong Kong!

Hotel near Hung Hom and Kowloon City,Hong Kong 1.9% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User 2026.04.06
This hotel boasts an excellent location – it's right in the heart of Hung Hom, what I like to call the 'center of the universe.' There's a side entrance that leads directly into a mall, offering plenty of dining, entertainment, and even car shopping options. A skybridge connects the mall to PolyU, and nearby you'll find the Hong Kong Science Museum and Hong Kong Museum of History, making it super convenient for exploring. From the hotel's back exit, you can walk past the Hong Kong Coliseum and soon reach the trendy new hotspot, the Hung Hom Promenade. The hotel also provides multiple shuttle buses to Middle Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, and Hung Hom Station is conveniently located nearby. I booked a suite this time, and I wasn't aware of any specific benefits when I made the reservation. So, I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk staff, referring to a printout, informed me that it included a buffet breakfast for two, as well as afternoon tea and evening refreshments at the Executive Lounge. The room was quite clean and quiet at night. The kitchen facilities were very complete, perfect for anyone who wants to cook during their stay. The hotel's breakfast spread was quite extensive, featuring a variety of Chinese, Western, Japanese, and Indian dishes. It caters wonderfully to guests from different countries, ethnicities, and backgrounds worldwide. The Executive Lounge is conveniently located on the same floor as the suites. I visited twice, and the atmosphere was elegant with incredible sea views. Even better, you can step out onto the terrace to admire the stunning views of Victoria Harbour, which are equally beautiful day or night. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

Location: Just a 3-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit C. You can also take bus A11 directly from the airport. Environment: Clean and spacious rooms, which is considered quite large for Hong Kong. Amenities: Toothbrush, slippers, towels, hairdryer, shower gel, and shampoo are all provided. Staff: All staff members are polite and can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Overall, the room was quiet, the air conditioning was sufficiently cold, and the shower had good water pressure. I stayed for six nights and had a very pleasant experience.

Traveling with my elderly parents and young child, I chose this hotel for a more comfortable stay. The beds were spacious enough (I booked two queen-sized beds, 1.5m wide each), and the amenities were comprehensive (free WiFi, USB charging ports). The room offered a great view directly facing the sea. Although it's a bit far from the city center, the price was very reasonable, and they even offer a shuttle service to and from Tsuen Wan MTR station, making transportation quite convenient. The breakfast was also delicious, with three set menus (A, B, C) to choose from, and complimentary self-service beverages like coffee, milk, and orange juice. A tip: it's much cheaper to book breakfast at the front desk upon check-in, and you'll save on service charges too!

I originally booked a twin room, but the front desk staff upgraded me to a room on the 20th floor in the West Wing. The view from the window, as shown in the picture, was pretty good, so I extended my stay. When I checked in, I spoke Cantonese with the staff member, and when I checked out, I spoke Mandarin with the female staff at the front desk. Both interactions were smooth, and everyone was very polite. The reading area outside the front desk has a great view, but unfortunately, I was too rushed during my stay to enjoy it. The hotel is located in North Point, which is a bustling area with many restaurants. On my last day, I used the complimentary food voucher for the 'Explore North Point - Explorer Set' to try the egg waffle shop. They were delicious and easy to redeem. It's a shame I went too late, as the other places had already closed. If you plan to use the vouchers, it's best to go earlier. The hotel is also very close to the MTR station, less than a hundred meters from North Point Exit A1.

I really looked at so many hotels before coming to Hong Kong, worried that a bad stay would spoil my trip, but the Prudential Hotel truly didn't disappoint! It's actually not far from West Kowloon, just a few blocks away. Plus, the Jordan MTR station exit is right next door, and downstairs you'll find bus stops, the Airport Express, Mannings, and Jollibee fried chicken – it's incredibly convenient! It's also super close to West Kowloon Park, making it easy to visit the big purple fountain. In fact, it's quite close to the Star Ferry and the Victoria Harbour observation deck too; we walked there the first time, and then took a bus (just 4 stops) to see the night view. There was even a film crew shooting downstairs, though we didn't see any celebrities, it was still pretty cool. There are lots of great restaurants in the area. The check-in service was very welcoming, and I noticed staff near the escalator helping women with large suitcases down, showing a strong awareness of safety.

The room was definitely spacious for Hong Kong standards. I booked the cheapest room type, and it was still a generous 30 square meters, which was enough for my stay. However, the 1-meter wide bed felt a bit precarious. There were plenty of food options around the hotel, and the location was quite convenient. Now for the things I wasn't so happy with: 1. As others have mentioned, the elevator transfers are a bit of a hassle, especially for floors 3-19. The elevators are quite slow, and you often have to wait a long time. 2. My room on the 28th floor had a strange-looking building visible from the window (see photo). I ended up keeping the curtains drawn for my entire stay. 3. The air conditioning in the room was quite loud. 23 degrees Celsius was too cold, but 23.5 degrees was too stuffy. I usually opted for 23.5 degrees, but even without a blanket, I still felt a bit stuffy at night. Then, in the morning, the AC would suddenly blast cold air and wake me up. 4. The conditioner was absolutely terrible. I seriously wonder if they just put body lotion in the bottle, as both had the same texture and smell. 5. The in-room Wi-Fi was quite unstable. Since I used various discounts, the room rate was less than 900 per night. For Hong Kong, I think this place is decent at that price point.

”Great stay with plenty of space! I expected a tiny room, but this was surprisingly large. The location is a bit away from the main center, but the subway is so good that it doesn't matter. The island is also very walkable. Check-in was a breeze since the staff speaks English—no translation apps required. Our harbor view room was fantastic, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you want more space and don't mind a quick MTR trip.”

The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby until morning. GGuest UserReview: A Clean, Budget-Friendly Stay with a View Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) I recently stayed at the Rambler Oasis Hotel in Hong Kong and overall, it was a pleasant experience. If you are looking for a clean and affordable place to rest, this is a solid choice. The Highlights: • Clean and Comfortable: The room was tidy and well-maintained, which is always the top priority for me. • The View: I was pleasantly surprised to have an ocean view, which added a nice touch to the stay. • Airport Accessibility: This is a major plus for travelers. The hotel is very conveniently located for those arriving or departing from HKIA. • Budget-Friendly Transport: Getting to and from the airport is a breeze and very cheap. I used the A32 bus, which only costs HKD $20—an excellent way to save on transit costs compared to the Airport Express or taxis. Things to Consider: • Location: While the hotel is great, keep in mind that it is quite far from the central tourist hubs of Hong Kong. If you are planning to spend most of your time in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, or Causeway Bay, be prepared to spend a bit of time commuting back and forth. Final Verdict: If you don't mind a commute in exchange for a clean room, a great view, and a very convenient/cheap route to the airport, the Rambler Oasis is a fantastic value option.

GGuest UserEverything was top notch and impeccable. The hotel was grand, clean and spacious with many luxurious notes from South East Asia. We used the outdoor pool with great facilities and went for a stroll. Rooms are nice and comfy too. The only drawback is it’s location. Close to Ocean Oark but that’s about all. MTR access requires a shuttle bus. No other shops or restaurants nearby. Etc

Qqingqing2008Staying at the Island Shangri-La this time was truly one of the most thoughtful and personalized hotel experiences I've had recently. The hotel's overall atmosphere is sophisticated and grand, exuding a classic luxury feel that perfectly matches the 'old money' aesthetic. The opulent and majestic lobby features high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and rich wood tones, creating an understated yet substantial ambiance. It's like being transported back to old Hong Kong, a time when ceremony was highly valued. 💁 Impeccable and Attentive Service Shangri-La's consistently high standard of service was fully evident here, making me feel right at home. Upon check-in, a welcome fruit platter was already in the room. The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful: check-in was efficient, and the staff were warm and professional. As I was bringing my child to Hong Kong for an IELTS exam, I asked about the test location at the front desk. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful; she personally walked me out to the main entrance and precisely directed me to the test center across the street, explaining how to get there. When we checked out, she very kindly gave my child a small chocolate.
