This was the most comfortable sleep I've had on my current trip to Japan. The experience was almost perfect. As it's my second time using this brand, I didn't hesitate to choose this hotel again when I returned to Toyohashi. The location is convenient, with a convenience store nearby, and both the bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The soundproofing is also quite good. All in all, I'm very satisfied and will definitely come back.

Had a fantastic stay at Nagoya JR Gate Tower Hotel. The location is unbeatable — directly above Nagoya Station, making it incredibly convenient for Shinkansen, trains, shopping and dining. Perfect base for exploring Nagoya and nearby cities.
The room was modern, spotless and very comfortable. Even though Japanese rooms can be compact, the layout was smart and functional, with great city views. Bed and pillows were comfortable, and amenities were thoughtful and well maintained.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for convenience, comfort and easy access to everything. Would definitely stay here again! 😊
Unfortunately, I missed the opening time for the public bath, but I had a nice stay as I could see the castle from my room. The riverside location and free parking were also great. The staff at the hotel cafe were very kind and helpful.
We used this hotel to go to Ghibli Park.
We travelled by car and didn't use the train, but I thought it was very conveniently located as the station was close by.
We stayed there with a 2-year-old child, and the staff were very kind and spoke to us, so we were glad that we had a comfortable stay from start to finish.
The room, bathroom, and toilet were clean, and for breakfast we had a buffet of fruit, Western and Japanese food as well as pancakes that could be ordered, so our child was able to eat a lot.
It was night so it was difficult to find the parking lot, but once we looked carefully at the signs it was fine.
It was only about 30 minutes to Ghibli Park using the highway, so we'd like to use this hotel again when we go there.

This was my second stay at this hotel because my first experience was so great. The night view is absolutely unbeatable, overlooking Nagoya. It's incredibly convenient for shopping and dining in the Sakae district; there's a brand new mall right downstairs with Montbell and Blue Bottle Coffee.
However, there was a small hiccup during this stay. I was suddenly woken up at 4 AM by the fire alarm and a loud broadcast announcement. It took a while before I could fall back asleep. The next day, I saw an explanation saying it was either a guest smoking or accidentally pressing the fire alarm in the elevator.
A super great stay experience
The hotel has an incomparable sea view. I met a Japanese couple on the beach next to them to take wedding photos. It must be a romantic place. The hotel staff knew that we were foreigners and tried their best to communicate with us in non-Japanese. It was really very considerate. Several of them touched me. I will talk about the small details here. 1. The hotel provided us with a room that matched my birthday. 2. The hotel arranged for us a very attentive little sister Zheng to pick us up. 3. The hotel provided us with a direct link to Xipu Station. The highlight of the check-out bus was that the driver was worried that we wouldn't be able to take the bus. He arranged tickets for us to take the tram. How could such a service not be memorable? In addition, the hotel's hot springs, private baths, and meals are all top-notch. Thank you for your attentive service. I can only express it in one word👍🏻

The hotel's location is amazing. Direct access to the underground mall with plenty of eateries, shopping and groceries. Walk the underground mall directly to reach JR Gate Tower Mall with Bic Camera and Uniqlo /Gu. Not to mention very near to the train lines. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant during check in and check out. And they helped us to store our luggage for some last minute shopping.

Front Desk staffs were very helpful and they helped to make restaurant reservations. Room was spacious and clean. Location is good and is close to JR Nagoya. Overall good hotel, if price is a little bit cheaper, it will be better value for money.

I stayed for three nights and was very satisfied. The room was spacious, not cramped at all, and I even got upgraded to a higher floor. It's very close to the Sakae shopping district, with all the malls just about a 15-minute walk away. In the other direction is Shin-Sakae, where you can find quite a few Chinese restaurants. There's a Sugi pharmacy right outside the hotel, which is super convenient for buying cosmetics, daily necessities, and food – I shopped there every day. For breakfast, you can choose between the ground floor buffet or the second-floor Japanese set meal. I'd definitely recommend the buffet on the ground floor; it has a wide variety, including名古屋特色的烤鸡翅 (Nagoya-style fried chicken wings), though it can get a bit crowded. The service was also excellent, absolutely flawless. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Nagoya. The only thing to note is that the road leading to Sakae is a gentle uphill slope, which might be a little tiring if you're pushing a stroller.
When I arrived, I dropped my luggage off at the front desk for pre-check-in. Later that evening, after a day out, I went to the concierge. I encountered a girl who, based on her name later, seemed Chinese. I told her in English that I was there to pick up my room key and handed her my passport. She then demanded, “Give me your luggage tag.” I thought she misunderstood and thought I was there to retrieve my luggage, so I reiterated that I was there for my room key. She snapped back impatiently, “That's why I need your luggage tag!” It's perfectly normal for a first-time guest not to know they need a luggage tag to get their room key. Why did she have to be so rude?

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable.
Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!
GGuest UserNikko Style Nagoya is a fantastic choice for location and convenience. Most of the places we planned to visit were within a comfortable 10 to 30-minute walking distance, which made exploring the city very easy. Nagoya Station is also only about a 10 to 15-minute walk away, making it very convenient for train travel to other destinations.
The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and comfortable, making it a perfect base for both sightseeing and relaxation. Highly recommended for travelers who value accessibility and walkability.

MM502128****The hotel isn't far from the subway, but there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, which could be an issue if your bags are heavy. It's located on the bustling Sakae shopping street, directly across from Matsuzakaya Mitsukoshi, and just a 10-minute walk from Osu Shopping Street. The hotel is relatively new, with spacious rooms and complete facilities, though they don't offer a common area for guests to relax and have coffee. The restaurant is good, with delicious seafood and meat.
Aapril408We really love this hotel. Location is great as it is next to a garden and historical tea house. It's a short walk to Inuyama Castle and we do have the castle as our lovely breakfast view.
The room is big and comes with a balcony with a nice view of the surrounding area. There is also an onsen at the hotel with indoor and outdoor baths!
Hotel is also a short, scenic walk from the train station. I would love to come back again!
