Guest UserAbsolutely no issues with my stay. Only thing is I would have planned differently knowing what I know now. Complimentary Gym and Swimming (depending on availability) which, for the price is a great addition. There is access to laundry facilities, I would have packed a little lighter knowing this. The only issue was the first couple machines I tried had an error and I was still charged but there is a Website to file for refund. I took pictures of the error codes. There is access to a shared kitchen which does have some plates, cups etc and hob/oven. There is also fridge and freezer. I did not have a car. But there is a reasonable bus service. There are places to buy food on the other buildings on campus, and there is a shop for groceries but it is quite expensive maybe £1-£2 more than you would expect for some things. If you were wanting to do some self catering you might want to buy at a cheaper store in town. Just remember it’s a shared space and keep it clean. You can walk to Wallace monument in 40 mins. Bus into Stirling takes 20mins lots of things to see just in Stirling centre. If you are interested in Scottish history it’s a trove of lots of collisions of different things. Scottish Royalty to reformation. The pictures on site are pretty accurate and the en-suite room is exactly what you need. Perfect for solo travellers or small groups who want individual rooms wouldn’t really be suitable for families with small kids.

Guest UserMe friend and I, along with his very large dog, stayed here as a stop-over while walking the John Muir Way and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The room was clean and very comfortable with a powerful shower which was appreciated after a long day walking. In particular, all the staff were superb, so kind, friendly and helpful. We bombarded them with requests - Can we send luggage ahead? Can you collect the luggage from the taxi? Is it OK if we arrive quite late at night? Can we change from a double to a twin? Can you help us order a taxi for a large dog? etc - and everything was handled as if it was no problem whatsoever. We were also very happy to find the bar still open and buzzing with friendly locals when we arrived knackered at about 10.30 pm!

Lovely hotel and delicious food. We loved the location and the pool area and facilities. Only issue we had was the heat. It was particularly mild for November and the staff weren’t able to adjust the temperature. We were given a dusty and broken fan to combat the heat but sadly no one came forward with an apology when we brought it to staff that we had to leave the window open wide all night to try combat the heat. I know it wasn’t the individuals fault but good customer service would apologise to the customer and none of the 4 staff we spoke to about it offered an apology and they seemed disgruntled about it too.

We are a couple and booked for a double room but given 2 singles room. Only found out when we went into the room. Went back to reception to show booking made for double, only then we were informed that there was no availability. We would have appreciated if this was made clear during check-in rather than finding out by surprise (with disappointment) and having to go back to reception to clarify.

Easy check in, plenty of parking, pub nearby for dinner and plenty of shops nearby to get other stuff required.
Great location if you have a car.

Amazing service at reception. Had a slight issue with the room booked through Trip.com, so the hotel provided free breakfast as a bonus (breakfast buffet was fantastic!). Room was clean and comfortable, but very difficult to hold a WiFi connection in the room (had to stand in the bathroom to get any usable WiFi). Had a good stay and would recommend to other West Highland Way walkers looking to treat themselves to a hotel stay on the way.

A good room and well worth it’s money (compared to the prices you have to pay for an accommodation in Edinburgh)! We had our own kettle, tea and coffee in our room, also the breakfast and the restaurant was great! The only flaw was that it was so far away from the city center and there aren’t many buses stopping near the accommodation, I should have researched that better. Besides that we had an amazing stay and I can recommend this place!

The facilities are complete. I was assigned a ground floor room, and the view outside the window was just a wall, so no scenery. The closet door and room door are poorly designed; the closet door was really hard to open. The bathroom is very spacious with a bathtub, and the heating worked well. The duvet was quite thin, which wasn't ideal as it happened to be cold during my stay.
Regarding cleanliness: The bathroom was clean, but the bed had some lint/fuzz, and the duvet had some loose threads.
For service: The lady at the front desk who checked me in was very nice. She slowed down her speech when she realized I wasn't a native speaker and was very patient in answering my questions. Luggage storage was also very convenient.
The only drawback is that the walk to the hotel is difficult. The hotel is close to the train station as the crow flies, but the road is very steep, making it really tough to pull luggage. I wouldn't want to experience that again. (The view outside the hotel is nice though!)
