I stayed here on a trip with my girlfriend whom I hadn't seen in a long time.
We came by car from Sapporo, and it was close to Otaru city, so there was a parking lot and it was easy to access.
My first impression was that it was luxurious for the price, and for a moment I thought I had come to the wrong hotel.
The room we stayed in was on the top floor, the 8th floor, and it was clean and had a great view.
For dinner, we had the 2,800 yen sashimi set meal.
Everything was fresh and delicious.
I was impressed by the garnish (like collagen) that I had never seen before.
There were two types of hot springs, and the open-air bath was especially good, but
There was only enough space for two people to sit, both inside and outside, so it was disappointing that there was no place to relax after the sauna.
In the end, there were so many people that I couldn't sit down after the cold bath, so I just sat in the area to wash my body.
I wish they had more chairs.
My trip with my girlfriend became a good memory.
Thank you.
Just a 1-minute walk to the Otaru Canal! Excellent access to tourist spots. The top floor features an open-air bath and sauna with a view of Ishikari Bay. Rooftop bar inspired by the Otaru lighthouse. Enjoy the bounty of Hokkaido at breakfast in a spacious restaurant facing the courtyard.

Outstanding
XXiaomaomidexingfushenghuoThis is a very charming teacher's courtyard 🏡 hot spring hotel. Although the location is a bit difficult to find, it is still convenient if you can book a shuttle or taxi in advance! I walked from Chaoli Station with my luggage, because I couldn't get a taxi, I was really tired! Fortunately, the enthusiasm of the hotel waiter warmed us, the overall service was not good, the small desserts prepared were also very delicious, and the meal that night was also very exquisite, and I was definitely full! The breakfast on the second day was also very rich! The milk 🥛 is very rich! Some of the goods in the small shop at the door are very good, it is worth a visit!
HHahuhaheI really enjoyed stay here. I got out of the Otaru JR station and the hotel is, across the road. Room was clean and functionable. I was on 9th floor and my window view was a big bonus. There is onsen but i missed it due to lack of time. Hotel is close to canal and shops and i have to mention the Triangle Market., where i had one of my best meal - grilled halibut. Check out my window view. This is a good base to explore the famous shops and eat good seafood.
GGuest UserLocation of the hotel was good! It was right between otaru station and the otaru canel. Plenty of dining options just a stone throw away from the hotel. Our room was very cosy and clean. The front desk staffs were always so friendly and smiley whenever we passed by them. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you!
MMeowChanStaying 1 night with a good mood.
They have some free amenities on the 1st floor.
Public bath with lotion, cleansing, milk essence.
Good view from the 7th floor.
Near Family mart with 30s by walking.
Near Otaru canal with 5mins by walking.
One thing should be improve is breakfast.. too cold and not much options.
GGuest UserWished we could stay longer. Beautiful view and not too far to walk to attractions. Lawsons right next door. Room is so spacious and comfy bed. Did not try the onsen as it's just normal hot water
JJulia369Great hotel with spacious nice traditional rooms. Overall the hotel is very spacious and has a grand ambience.
Rooms offer a very nice view of the Sea and yachts.
Rooms equipped with a capsule coffee machine.
Shower gels and shampoo are very nice like Lemongrass and ginger.
The hotel is linked to AEON mall and railway stations by passage corridor.
When you arrive at otaru Chiko station instead of going to the street level, you may find the corridor on the same level with station with the sign Grand Hotel. You will pass the shopping mall hall and end up at the hotel.
SScudLimCozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!
KKazuya TatsuI booked this for my trip to Otaru. It's quite a walk up a hill from Otaru Station and Minami Otaru Station, but it's about a 20-minute walk from Tenguyama, so it was a good location for me who wanted to see the night view.
There were many toilets and showers compared to the number of rooms, and it was generally clean and nice. I thought it was great that there was a microwave and refrigerator, and that the washing machine and dryer were free of charge.
However, there are no amenities such as razors or toothbrushes, so you need to prepare them.
There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, so it's a good idea to do your shopping in advance.
Although it was at the last minute, they arranged for me to be picked up and dropped me off, which was very helpful.
GGlobetrotter & HikerI had a pleasant one night stay at Hotel Sonia. The hotel's location was excellent, situated in front of the Otaru Canal and within walking distance to shopping and dining areas, as well as the train station (though snowy conditions made it a bit tricky). While the hotel lobby looked modern, the room interior felt outdated. Note that late check-out comes with a 2000 JPY per hour fee, so plan accordingly. Overall, it was a decent one-night stay.
GGuest UserI was disappointed because there were no Korean reviews, but I was satisfied with everything except the location. It was a bit difficult because I had to drag the carrier uphill. I don't think it would be suitable in winter when there's a lot of snow. There was a female staff member to help with self-check-in. I was worried about safety because it was a trailer hotel, but I felt reassured because there was a double lock. The gas water heater installed in the room made a noise when using hot water, so it was a bit noisy. There is a 7-Eleven about 150m away. The bedding was very clean. When I self-checked out in the morning, two employees were diligently cleaning.
