GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, just a 10-minute drive from the Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring. It's a peaceful spot, yet conveniently close to attractions, and you get stunning sand dune views right from your window. Getting to the city center and Shazhou Night Market also takes only 10 minutes, making getting around incredibly easy.
The room was immaculately clean; every corner was spotless, and the entire space was dust-free. The bedding was soft and dry, and the bathroom was odor-free with a great wet/dry separation. Even if you're a clean freak, you'll feel completely at ease here; the attention to detail in cleanliness is exceptional, ensuring a super comfortable stay.
This guesthouse is brand new and well-equipped with high-quality facilities, including air conditioning, a smart toilet, and premium bedding. The room is spacious and bright, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window offering amazing views. It also comes with complimentary toiletries and a refrigerator. The service is very thoughtful, making for an incredibly comfortable experience.
I've already recommended it to my best friend, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

YYoudianerkuaileAfter a trip to Northern Xinjiang with friends, we stopped by Dunhuang. I booked the Dunhuang Zhongzhou International Hotel based on Ctrip's hotel rankings. After checking in, I just had to praise the hotel's service; it feels like every staff member embodies a service-oriented mindset. The hotel offers airport/station pick-up service, and after making a reservation a day in advance, a hotel staff member quickly got in touch. Upon arrival at the airport, I easily connected with the pick-up vehicle and arrived smoothly at the hotel. During check-in, a staff member thoughtfully offered us tea. On the evening of our check-in, we could enjoy a complimentary bowl of noodles at the hotel restaurant, which was perfect for dinner since we arrived quite late. Additionally, the hotel offers a free 'Late Night Porridge' supper from 9 PM to 11 PM for guests who need it. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of bottled water. Each room comes with a foot bath bucket, and the bathroom has two large rolls of toilet paper, unlike the smaller ones found in other hotels. Plus, the bathroom is equipped with a laundry basket and a convenient drying rack. The hotel also has a free laundry room, which is handy for travelers. We stayed for two days and happened to experience a sandstorm, so the washing machine came in very useful when we got back in the evening. The hotel's location is convenient; it's not far from nearby attractions and the night market, and taxis are easily accessible. The hotel's breakfast is also excellent. Guests can purchase breakfast vouchers for 30 RMB if needed, and staff members always greet you promptly when you arrive at the restaurant. During check-out, the front desk staff proactively helped push our luggage to the hotel entrance and waited until our taxi arrived and we got in before leaving. I've already recommended this hotel to friends and will definitely stay at Dunhuang Zhongzhou International Hotel again on my next visit to Dunhuang.

IIvan KandevWe are impressed with the hotel. Whatever we write, it will still be not enough, because it is a real jewel in every aspect. The room was luxuriously furnished and extremely cozy. Inside there is everything you need for a perfect and comfortable stay and rest. Even the smallest details, both functional and aesthetic, have been considered. There were snacks and water in the room as a compliment from the hotel. On the 5th floor there is a self-service laundry room and dryer available to guests. The cleanliness is perfect. The breakfast is rich and has both European and Asian offerings. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants nearby, and the beautiful central part is also within walking distance. We are grateful to the entire staff for the excellent service and kind attitude. Every single person of the team does his job perfectly well. The only thing we regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy this wonderful place. We wish the entire team health and good luck. Always be so kind and keep this high level service.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is truly unique! Each room is named after one of the twelve zodiac signs, with designs that blend local flair and astrological elements. In the evenings, you can go stargazing, with options for an indoor lecture and actual observation from the rooftop. The instructor mentioned that summer is the best season for stargazing, and if you want to spot your own zodiac constellation, it's best to visit around two months before or after its designated month. They even gave us wishing bottles for our own zodiac signs, which we filled with sand from Mingsha Mountain the next day to take home!
The host is incredibly warm and helpful; you can ask her about local tourism, car rentals, and more – she's very considerate. Breakfast is different every day, with a thoughtful and nutritious selection. There's also an adorable cat who loves to 'accompany' you during meals, often sitting on a chair. She gets so happy if you share half an egg yolk with her every morning! She also recently had three tiny, adorable kittens!
The guesthouse features a classroom and a spacious, bright lobby, making it feel especially suitable for study tour groups. We initially planned to stay two nights but loved it so much we extended for another night. The village atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and it's about a 15-minute taxi ride to Shazhou Night Market and around 20 minutes to the train station, so transportation is very convenient.
Highly recommend for family trips and educational tours!

XXiaoQbumojiOverall, I'm satisfied. The price isn't expensive, so it offers decent value for money.
Facilities: The room itself is quite good, on par with your typical Mercure or Ji Hotel in a city. However, there's a disconnect with the public facilities like the laundry room, elevators, and restaurant, which are a bit subpar, more like a guesthouse.
Environment: It's right next to the night market, so the location is excellent. There's also a shuttle bus across the street that goes to the Mogao Grottoes.
Hygiene: There were some blind spots for cleanliness. On the day I checked in, there was still a positioning sticker from the previous guest's bathtub liner stuck to the tub. It's not a major issue, but it does show the level of hygiene.
For around 200 yuan, it's a very good price. If it were peak season, they'd need to improve a bit more. I regret not taking photos of the interior, but the hotel's pictures are accurate and trustworthy; the actual room is exactly as shown.

I thought desert accommodations would be just okay, but I was blown away by the backyard. The expansive space felt like a secret hideaway, completely capturing all the joy I had in Dunhuang!
After a day of fun at Mingsha Mountain, come back and continue your fun in the backyard. Play in the sand right at your feet. If you're bringing kids, they can spend an entire afternoon in the sand.
The best part is the backyard pool! In the evening, soak in the water and watch the desert sunset. The setting sun paints the sand a golden red, and every photo you take is cinematic. 🌇
At night, it's even more stunning! In the light-pollution-free courtyard, grab a small stool and lie back to gaze at the stars. Even your breathing slows down...
The room itself is a true lover of detail!!! Smart lighting, air conditioning, and curtains respond to calls. A minibar and humidifier are also included. Coming back from a tiring day, it's incredibly comfortable to lie back.
When you're not rushing, spend the whole day in the backyard. Playing in the sand, swimming, picnicking, stargazing... It turns out slow living in the desert can be so enjoyable!

AARTHURStaff was really friendly and tries to speak English. Cleanliness of the room was not perfect, given the stains in the toilet and the rubbish underneath the bed. Overall the hygiene was good though. If you want a low cost stay with a good breakfast, this is the place to be! Location is also very good in the center of all major sights in the neighbourhood.

GGuest UserThe environment here is lovely. When we visited, the area was surrounded by apricot blossoms, and from the rooftop, it looked like a beautiful sea of flowers in the desert. The bedding was comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet during our stay, so we slept wonderfully. The breakfast was also quite unique, featuring apricot juice and beef noodles. On our second morning, we had to leave very early, and the owner even prepared packed breakfast bags for each of us. The only downside is that the facilities could use some improvement, especially the hot water for showers, which was often unavailable.

GGuest UserThe boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.

When I arrived at the campsite, the first thing that attracted me was the unique tent house. Unlike regular tents, the top of the tent is made of special transparent materials, like a huge viewing platform, which builds a bridge of communication between me and the vast galaxy. As night fell, I couldn't wait to lie on the soft bed, and when I looked up, the bright starry sky was presented to me without reservation. The stars twinkled, like gems inlaid on the black sky, beautiful as a dream. At that moment, the world seemed to press the mute button, and the impetuousness and noise in my heart were instantly soothed. The unique beauty of this quietness made me intoxicated.
It is worth mentioning that the hotel staff is very considerate. After placing the order, the customer service guy at the front desk added our contact information and gave us some local travel tips, which saved us a lot of time. From the warm reception at check-in, to the careful guidance during the activities, to the warm greetings at night, every detail made people feel cared for. They not only provided me with thoughtful service, but also made me feel the simplicity and enthusiasm of the desert people.
This desert camping trip not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent scenery of the desert, but also experienced exciting and interesting activities, which became an eternal and beautiful memory in my heart.
