First of all, this hotel is very well located opposite the museum. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially the young woman at reception. The only downside is that the breakfast is a bit meager, with no option for soup or pasta. What I didn't like is that the ground-floor rooms are below a covered courtyard and are essentially windowless; if the curtains are open, everyone passing by falls right into the room. The courtyard's decor is also odd.

The hotel is a little way out of town and most guests seemed to have arrived by car while we had trouble getting to the hotel because the taxi driver could not read the Mandarin address. (Most taxi driver by our experience in Xinjiang cannot read Mandarin.) The woman at the front desk was always pleasant and tried to help, but it would be useful if hotel staff knew more about buses and trains. As with most hotels in China, no one on the staff could speak English. Our room was fine, very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was not lavish, but it was perfectly adequate.

I was quite disgusted to find bugs on the bed, but after contacting the staff, they were very helpful and quickly changed my room. Unfortunately, the toilet in the second room didn't have a lid, and I really didn't want to go through the hassle of changing rooms again. Thankfully, the lack of a lid wasn't a major issue. This hotel is mid-range, not cheap, but its management is definitely lacking. I hope the hotel can improve in the future to enhance the stay experience.

In the roadside homestay, the boss is not at the front desk, the little boss is very responsible, must ask to live on the side where you can see the Zaoyuan, there is a small balcony, it is very convenient to dry clothes. The wifi in some rooms is broken and needs to be connected to other rooms.

Because I was worried that the sanitary conditions of the hotel would not be closed the day before, I stayed at Ruoqi Galaxy Hotel and changed three rooms. It was full of smoke. The last room was still found on the bed. I contacted the homestay the next day. The boss drove over to pick us up. The homestay looked less shiny than the hotel, but it was very safe and comfortable.
