Stepping off the car, crossing a small bridge, and entering the courtyard, there was an immediate sense of familiarity and peace. A babbling stream flowed in front, while silent mountains loomed behind. The courtyard was lush with greenery, exuding the scent of damp earth and the passage of time. Moss slowly spread along the flagstone path, and bamboo shadows swayed gently. Koi fish glided serenely in the pond, and the bell by the entrance chimed softly in the breeze, making you instinctively lighten your steps. This wasn't some contrived 'Chinese style,' but a place truly lived in. Their attentiveness was subtle but profound. Knowing roughly when we'd arrive, they'd already warmed the room, even the comforter was toasty. A wisp of sandalwood incense was slowly burning, and the tea set was neatly arranged, as if awaiting its owner's return. The moment I opened the door, my heart felt at ease. The furnishings inside reflected a restrained and tasteful Chinese aesthetic. Carved wooden window lattices, soaring double-leaf Chinese doors, and soft, warm lighting – each item seemed to have stepped out of an earlier time. The collected artifacts and calligraphies were not flashy, yet each quietly told its own story. For dinner, we decided to stay in rather than venture out, opting for a 'home-cooked meal.' Upon hearing our request, the auntie immediately sprang into action – she went to another part of the property, caught a chicken, and stewed a fresh pot of chicken soup. Then she dug fresh fiddlehead ferns from the vegetable patch, still carrying the aroma of earth. There were also her homemade salted duck eggs, not overly salty, yet oily with just one bite. The firewood slowly burned, the soup in the pot gently simmered, and the aroma of the food gradually filled the air. That scent wasn't the refined fragrance of a restaurant, but the long-missed, comforting taste of home. This isn't just a 'chic' guesthouse; it’s far more touching than many of them. It's like a well-preserved slice of life – quiet, authentic, and full of warmth. This is a place one will remember and want to return to for another short stay.

The lady boss is very considerate and will get up early to cook eggs for the guests. When checking out in the morning to catch the train, the boss enthusiastically reminded me not to forget to take the eggs, which was very touching. There are coffee and other drinks and small snacks and desserts available at the front desk. The room also provides a washing machine, a disinfection cabinet and a smart toilet. The price-performance ratio of this hotel is quite high. The only drawback is that the window sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear the sound of the train, and wearing earplugs does not affect your sleep. MMengzaiyunduaniconThe room is very clean and large. The curtains, toilets, etc. inside are all smart, which is very nice, but I forgot to take pictures. There is a river behind the B&B and the scenery is very nice. There is free breakfast and the noodles cooked by the boss are good. You can order food at the boss's house. The food is large and delicious. The boss is very nice to talk to and provides pick-up and drop-off at the tourist center, bus station, entrance to the scenic spot, and Zhaisha Dong Village, which is very convenient. I have already recommended this B&B to my friends. I will book here next time when everyone comes to visit. I wish the boss a prosperous business!

Before choosing a place, I hesitated about whether to stay closer to the scenic area entrance, but based on my experience, I would recommend staying directly in the village. It's more physically demanding for hiking, and meals are more convenient. The owner can pick you up and drop you off at the scenic area entrance. We also found out after arriving that you can arrange pick-up and drop-off services in Tongren city in advance, and the price is slightly cheaper than taking a taxi. The owners are very easy to talk to, so there's no need to worry about any disputes. Although the facilities aren't particularly high-end, it's worth the price.

MM50287****I booked a twin room but got upgraded to a king-size room. The room was very bright and smart, and the bed was super comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. Most importantly, it's very close to the East Gate Tourist Center and the ticket office, so I could come back and drive after hiking the mountain, saving me parking fees. The small courtyard environment is also very thoughtfully designed, it should be especially comfortable in the summer. The owner was very friendly. A satisfying stay, definitely five-star!

The location is right in the center of the Dong Village, so you can step out for meals and enjoy the lively bonfire party. Or, you can quietly sit in the exquisite courtyard, sipping tea and chatting, with a full range of teas and brewing tools provided. The swaying hydrangeas, the fragrant honeysuckle, red maples, succulents, money plants... every green plant you see reflects thoughtful design. I usually don't prefer B&Bs, but stealing two days of leisure here was a wonderful, calming experience. The mattress conformed to ergonomic support, and the toiletries were a complete set with gardenia scent. The room design matched the Dong Village style. In the lobby and rooms, there were also sets of books introducing the culture of Jiangkou County, along with other paperbacks. The laundry room had a washer and dryer, and even several types of laundry detergent to choose from – all in all, thoughtful arrangements without being intrusive. The set breakfast was light and varied, a nice change from the sour soup fish and beef found everywhere in Guizhou for lunch and dinner, helping to regulate the stomach. For a two-day trip to Fanjing Mountain, choosing this place was definitely the right decision.

MM34416****The lady at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and warm. We didn't arrive until 10:30 PM, but she had called us earlier to confirm our arrival time and even upgraded our room. The air conditioning was wonderfully warm, the hot water was excellent, and the bedding was very comfortable. She also allowed us to park our car directly in front of the guesthouse. Even after check-out, she mentioned that we could still come back to the guesthouse for a free shower and to change clothes after descending Mount Fanjing. This place absolutely deserves a huge thumbs up!

At night, with the windows open, falling asleep to the sound of the river brought back memories of childhood nights in the countryside. The bridge over the river is a fantastic spot for photos; it's very picturesque, featuring traditional ethnic themes and artistic elements, combined with classic Chinese covered bridge architecture. From the room, looking out, the river, bridge, and ancient willow trees perfectly form a beautiful painting.
