MM24ufdxht****The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, very warm, and provides exceptional service. It doesn't feel commercial at all; staying here genuinely feels like being a guest in someone's home. Any needs or questions were explained in great detail. The room was also very clean and hygienic, equipped with smart home appliances throughout, and quite spacious – enough for our family of five to comfortably stay in one room. The courtyard with its rockery and running water offers a very comfortable spot for tea and relaxation.

GGuest UserWhen I was choosing accommodation in Wutai Mountain, this place immediately caught my eye.
The service was truly exceptional. Whether it was the butler or other staff members, everyone was incredibly enthusiastic. Any questions or requests were always addressed and resolved promptly.
The hotel environment is also very good. There are activities on the first floor that you can participate in, and the second floor even has a singing bowl space, which creates a very peaceful atmosphere.
We stayed in the 'Red Rattan Cane' room type, which offered a very expansive view. A fruit platter was delivered to our room every day, but it would be even better if the fruit selection were more carefully chosen – on the second day, the strawberries in the platter had mold on them 😧.
Breakfast was a semi-buffet. While the variety wasn't extensive, the taste felt very home-style, and the Wutai Mushroom and Pork Pancake was delicious! 🤤
During our three days in Wutai Mountain, we basically had all our meals at the hotel. The preserved egg and tofu was delicious and very unique. The meatball soup is perfect for those who prefer lighter flavors. Among the two hot pot options, I'd recommend the 'Special Warm Pot' more. In contrast, the 'Wutai Mushroom and Chicken Soup Hot Pot' mostly contained chicken bones, which was a bit disappointing 🤦♀️.

The boss is very good, stayed for about 20 days. The first time I lived in the room downstairs, I changed to the room upstairs when I lived. Especially warm, the boss is very good. My brother's feet were broken, but when I returned to Beijing, I was broken. Thanks to the boss's reminder, I must go to the hospital to check it. During the stay, the temples in the core scenic area of Wutai Mountain were almost all worshipped. When returning to the room, the boss will make up the water. It is very convenient to go to the core scenic area from the homestay. If there are Tibetans staying, it will be particularly lively.

TTAN BOON LIANG BERNARDThis is our first time visiting Wutaishan and we stayed here for 5 nights. We came here by a direct bus from Beijing and the hotel picked us from the bus terminal in Wutaishan. The hotel driver was helpful and polite. We were greeted by 2 pleasant front desk ladies upon check in. We received a beads bracket gift and welcome fruit plate .
During the first day we had an issue with the air conditioning unit in our room and they changed our room the very next day.
The hotel is located just off a busy street with lots of restaurants and shops. There is also a shuttle bus stop just around the corner. There are many famous temples here all within walking distance from the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the food is delicious and we had a meal served in our room.
The lady boss (who we didn’t meet) provided us with information for our trip planning and helped us to book a land tour of the 5 mountains.
Lastly we would like to compliment the 2 front desk staff, the 2 cleaning staff and the driver for their enthusiastic attitude and service.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to visit Mount Wutai to worship Buddha. It happened to be during the Chinese New Year and there were quite a few people there.
The hotel is located in a very convenient area, and most importantly, it is easy to park. The sister at the front desk was very considerate and explained to us the precautions for worshiping Buddha.
The room is very stylishly decorated, with an elegant environment and exquisite decoration! The room was spacious and bright, and the bed was super comfortable.
The room attendant was warm and generous, and greeted us proactively, fearing that he would neglect us.
In short, it is an ideal place to stay for travel 👍🏻

Wwyh791008My experience at Wutaishan Marriott this time was fantastic! First, the navigation system led me down a mountain road with many confusing turns. Luckily, I had added a WeChat contact for one of the Marriott front desk staff members, a young lady, who guided me and sent me the correct directions, so I arrived smoothly. When checking in, I told a young man at the front desk what happened and that I wanted to thank the young lady in person. He proactively contacted her, which was excellent service. I also asked this slightly chubby, lovely young man about the route for the next day's departure, and he explained it very thoroughly. The bellboy, who I think was surnamed Zhang, was also very enthusiastic and attentive.
This Wutaishan Marriott hotel has had the best service of all the Marriott hotels I've stayed in.
Now for two suggestions:
1. The room's cleanliness was a bit lacking. There was a lot of dust on the headboard, and some amenities were missing and not replenished. Both toilet paper rolls in the bathroom were almost empty.
2. When I first answered a call on the room phone, the voice prompts were only in English and Japanese, with no Chinese option. I think this isn't ideal for a hotel in China!
Service: I want to thank these young people at Marriott once again for their attentive and patient service! 🙏🙏🙏

Many food and store available nearby. Early morning breakfast before pilgrimage, is not a problem, many affordable buffet arround at 15 RMB.
If you want to go for 5 terrace pilgrimage, the transport will come to pick at the hotel, because the location is nearby
The hotel owner also can help to book for the five terrace trip.

GGuest UserOt's a small boutique hotel . The room was large and new looking. It had a small living room with comfortable chairs. The bathroom is average size with good hot shower.
The location is very good with easy access to restaurants and grocery shops. Be aware that everything concerned with food is just that little bit more expensive than other cities in China. But I guess the cost of hauling everything up to wu tai shan is costly.
The hotel is also close to the central bus station.
The manger Tong Tian Tian was most helpful. She came to pick us up from the bus station, helped us to book a day tour of the 5 mountain temples. ( which had to be cancelled halfway due to a snowstorm on the mountain tops, where the main temples were.
She then helped us to get our partial redunds.
And then helped us to book bus tickets for onward travel to Datong.
She was really helpful. On our first day she dropped us off at a temple nearly 20 mins away.
So top marks for her customer service
The hotel is a little short on the normal facilities like gym , small room fridge in the room, a restaurant ( so no breakfast )

HHanqing～yanIt feels so good to live halfway up the mountain. You can overlook the panoramic view. You can also watch the night view directly from the small terrace. The hot water is very good. The boss is also very helpful. He added a WeChat message in advance to let him know how to get there. In the morning, there was a little orange cat begging for food. Not bad👍Walking to the main temples, and at the bottom of the mountain is Dex👍
