Clean room

The property is nice but the service wasn't good. There was some minister staying at the property as well that impacted our entire stay. Everything was closed. The swimingpool had too much clorine in it which burnt out skin. Moreover, the staff at the reception were rude. The checkout time was 8:30am and they didn't let us extend even by 30m.

The hotel is centrally located, about 900 metres from the beach. My room is facing the street, so it is noisy and some affects the rest. In fact, it will not be quiet without facing the street. The room was clean and the sheets were a bit old. The morning buffet is good and there are not many people. There are two points to note that the hotel cannot use international credit cards, so if foreigners spend at the hotel, they can only pay cash at checkout. Second, the check-out time required by the hotel is 8:00 in the morning. If you need to extend the check-out, you will have to pay. It is not expensive, tens of yuan per hour, 8 o'clock check out is a common practice in the local area. In short, in Puri, the requirements for the hotel are not too high, and the hotel in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, will not work. This hotel is okay.

the check in process was smooth... the room was kept ready for us... the room was cosy and tidy... because it's an old property there are certain repairs that needs to be done... but the rooms do have a vintage charm... our balcony had views of the pool and sea from far... room service was prompt and food tasted good... swimming pool is well maintained and supervised constantly... there is a gate which opens directly into the beach and new marine drive road... so access to beach is easy... breakfast was a good spread and variety of options was available... overall a pleasant experience. the only suggestion that I want to give is apart from maintainance, they can also work towards sustainable approach...the first step can be by removing plastic packaged drinking water bottles and replacing them with glass bottles and refilling them whenever required.

The hotel is in the by lanes of Baliapanda. Behind the Light house. As such no views from the hotel while sea beach is 5 mins walk. Sri Jagannath temple would take 20 mins by rickshaw. Stayed in a delux AC room. The room was indeed spacious however the bathroom lock was broken, the AC temperature couldn’t be controlled below 25 while in the bathroom ( shower ) the soap case / rack was broken. Food is very expensive while they start breakfast (shocked that they don’t even provide 2 complimentary bottle of mineral water had to buy that too Rs 30 / bottle) only after 8 am & simultaneously ask to vacate the room as check out time is 8 am as well. As it was a last moment decision for a darshan of Lord Jagannath had no much option & stayed here.
