Great
GGuest UserI visited for a baseball game.
It was my first time in Hiroshima, so I chose this hotel based on its vibe. It's within walking distance of the restaurant district known as 'Ekimae West.' It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Mazda Stadium, but it's definitely within walking distance. I also walked to Nagarekawa (or Nagarekawa?), the downtown entertainment area. I think it's a perfect location for sightseeing, no matter where you're going. There seems to be a path connected to the underground passage, but I couldn't figure it out until the end.
The staff were very polite and helpful with all my questions, which left a great impression. They even held my luggage after the baseball game, so it was a well-thought-out and convenient location. The room was, of course, clean. There was also a welcome coffee station, and the hotel itself was calm and not rushed. Including the cost-performance, I'd give it a 100/100. Thank you for a wonderful trip!
RRustyGVery grand hotel, dated in the age of build. Very clean bathroom and beds. Amazing, grand entrance way. Very close to sightseeing areas and local sighseening bus stops. Excellent view of the city. Lots of personal amenity provided (toothbrush etc). Access to gym/fitness centre is additional (substantial) costs.
Lovely staff with excellent English.
GGuest UserPros:
1. Excellent location.
2. Service was very good.
3. The hotel is quite new.
4. All basic facilities are well-equipped.
5. Breakfast was very rich and varied.
6. They were very accommodating to our two adults and two children. We booked the room for adults, and only had to pay a small difference and buy children's breakfast upon check-in, which was really great.
Cons:
1. The hotel's parking lot is very small and often full. The other two parking lots are quite far, so we just found another parking spot nearby.
2. Dinner on December 30th (New Year's Eve price) for two adults and two children was 21,000 JPY, but the food was really mediocre. Compared to the excellent breakfast and lunch, it was a bit disappointing. Breakfast and lunch, however, were both very good and highly recommended.
3. I've stayed at three Hilton hotels in Japan (Tokyo Disney, Hiroshima, Nagasaki), and none of them have a consistent policy for children. It's always best to call or email ahead to confirm when staying with kids. However, this hotel's extra charge was minimal, which was very considerate.
MM2f4dsq1e****The room size was decent, not small by Japanese standards. The decor felt quite new. They even had Braille identification at the elevator, which was a nice touch. The hotel is right in the city center, making transportation very convenient. It's really close to the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, just a few minutes' walk. The area felt safe and quiet. My only minor gripe was that there was a front desk staff member on the first day, but I didn't see them on the subsequent two days. It seems like many hotels in Japan are moving towards self check-in now, which I'm still getting used to as I don't visit often.
AAnonymous UserThe room was generally clean although there were a couple stains on the couch. The room was quiet which was a plus after a long day of sightseeing. We didn't use the onsen - but thought it was a good amenity to have on site. The room items (toiletries) were kept at the front desk, which helped limit the amount taken by certain guests overtaking products. We thought the location was decent, but still far from the station and the peace memorial park. We would stay here again as the value was decent for what we paid.
KKimiFornaThe reception staff were truly very kind and professional.
Everything was clean and smelled amazing, the bed was comfortable, and there was even a TV. The room was quite small, but for the price, I think it was perfect! You still have your own private space and plenty of peace and quiet. They also provided a kit with a wonderful pajama set, which I honestly would have loved to buy it.
Highly recommended!!
CChong Ee JayEnjoyed my two nights stay here which was about a 7-8 minutes walk from the Hiroshima station. Staff were very hospitable and there was basic room cleaning services daily.
Was surprised that the hotel offered free breakfast that was very substantial - Onigiri of different flavours, miso soup, salad, bread and coffee too!
There’s also two Landry machines and dryers at level 1 for use. Else there are two laundromats within 5 min walking distance from the hotel for consideration.
From Hiroshima station, you can easily access the tram rides to head to the Atomic Bomb Peace memorial site as well as Hiroshima castle.
Or you can take a train ride to the Miyajima ferry terminal to have day’s expedition to Miyajima island!
GGuest UserI stayed here for three nights. The location is strategic and there are many places to eat nearby. The receptionist was very friendly, spoke English fluently, and explained everything well. Sometimes when I returned, they would ask me how my day was 😆. The female staff member who managed the place was also kind and spoke English fluently. Every night, she would ask me if the temperature was comfortable, if I was cold, etc. She was really nice🥹🥹. There is a special room for women with bunk beds for four people, which uses an automatic lock. There’s a spacious luggage storage area, and free Wi-Fi is available. The bed type is a futon, and you have to set up the sheets yourself. Toothbrushes and towels are provided but are paid extras. Overall, it’s fantastic with an extremely affordable price! Thank you so much!😇😇
EEterNaL_The Washington hotel in Hiroshima is positionally one of the best hotels that I had the pleasure of staying at as it is located directly beside a PARCO and a Don Quijote. In addition to that, directly opposite of the hotel is a Familymart convenience store and there is also a Sukiya positioned behind the hotel.
The hotel is also located roughly 15-20 minutes away from Hiroshima station ( by streetcar) and roughly 10 minutes away is a round one stadium.
The hotel’s staff were helpful and accomodating and when my friend and I encountered an error with the check in counter, one of the staff dropped what they were doing just to manually check us in. We would recommend this hotel for those who wish to have great convenience at their fingertips along with a very comfortable stay in Hiroshima
GGuest UserThe hotel is easily accessible by foot and surprisingly a big hotel with escalators (easy for travellers with luggage) and a big hotel lobby (considering that it is a business hotel in Japan). Stayed as a family of 3 (with a child). The room was fine with 2 beds but no space for big luggage. We actually paid extra at the Front Desk for my child to stay together but was disappointed that it does not come with an extra bathroom towel nor room slippers. I asked for 1 more pillow and was rejected too. But one of the male staff at the Front Desk was extremely helpful which was a bonus. He gave a suggestion in passing me 2 blankets which I can stack them and use as a pillow. We liked the view from our room too. We are able to see the the busy train tracks with Shinkansen and cargo trains. The stay comes with breakfast and dinner too. Overall, it was a great stay. Thank you.
