Minamiaso Hotels with Parking

Our recent stay at a charming guesthouse felt like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. The entire house exuded simplicity and warmth, reminiscent of a storybook setting. The gracious host welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm, even though our grasp of Japanese was limited. Despite the language barrier, we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the sumptuous dinner. We were almost too full to continue after indulging in the feast. The homemade hamburger steak, lovingly prepared by the host, was exceptionally delicious. If you’re seeking a heartwarming experience in Aso, I highly recommend giving this guesthouse a try.

Have you read the detective novel by British writer Agatha Christie? She has a work called ”Crimes in the Sun”, which is about a group of tourists vacationing on a sunny island. Suddenly an extremely strange murder happened... When we walked into this hotel, I Suddenly thought of Christie's novel in his mind. In the remote and quiet countryside, a hotel with a strong classic flavor stands alone. There is an elegant restaurant in the hotel with about ten rooms. Through the window of the guest room, you can see the smoke erupting from Mount Aso and the rolling mountains in the distance. The surroundings of the hotel are quiet, full of greenery. Everything fits perfectly with the scene in Christie's work...Of course, nothing changed in the end. We spent two happily nights here, soaking in the natural hot springs in the hotel every morning and evening. The boss’s cooking skills are good, and the breakfast she cooked is very delicious. highly recommended.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Ryokan Minawa, un lieu paisible et authentique au cœur de la nature du mont Aso. Le cadre est superbe, entre montagnes et verdure, et les bains onsen privés sont vraiment relaxants. Le personnel est très accueillant et attentionné, et les repas servis sont délicieux et joliment présentés. Une expérience japonaise traditionnelle que nous recommandons vivement ! Seuls petits bémols : une légère odeur d’humidité dans la chambre, et le vin le moins cher à la carte un peu trop onéreux à notre goût. Egalement pour y accèder, après plusieurs changements de train, il faut marcher une bonne quizaine de minutes depuis la gare (si pas de voiture). Malgré cela, un endroit magnifique pour se ressourcer et profiter pleinement de la région d’Aso.

We are a couple from Australia and I only speak a little Japanese. This was a truly AMAZING experience! The staff were so kind and friendly, giving us assistance was no issue for them. The location is stunning, the private onsen was glorious and the dinners and breakfasts were bigger than we could possibly eat (and we love our food). The price point for this experience was so good - fantastic value for money. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little adventure in the heart of countryside Japan. If you get the chance to also visit Minamiaso (they will take you there at no extra charge) for the day, grab some e-bikes and have a ride around- take in the beautiful scenery and wonderful food options.

Although the building is old, the whole is very clean and tidy, the functions are also maintained very well, the breakfast is rich, there are small surprises, and the staff's intentions are felt everywhere. The night stargazing itinerary is divided into three parts. There are star interpretations, like in the 3D cinema, it is very three-dimensional and relaxing, there is an astronomical telescope to actually watch the stars, and there is an experience of lying on the prairie to enjoy the moon and the stars. The overall feeling is very rich and very touched. It is worth staying here for one night, and be sure to come when the weather is good.

Located in South Asu, there are hot springs to soak in. When the weather is good, you can overlook the entire Asu volcano. It is quite beautiful. The room is quite good. The western-style room upstairs is much smaller! A good place with pleasant scenery! There is also a Taiwanese employee who can speak fluent Chinese and is very enthusiastic about introducing local attractions and food!

The lodge is close to the mount aso with a handful of cozy rooms. The host is kind and friendly. They serve well curated dinner and breakfast in japanese western style. It has been a nice stay.
