The hotel is decorated in a stylish style, garden view room is on a hill. The area in front of the room has a seating area, good atmosphere, viewpoint area and pool villa, very beautiful view, building a new house next to the sea, very pleasant to stay. All the staff are lovely, well recommended, there is a shuttle service to the pier.

We spent a few fantastic days at Secret Garden Homestay and we can fully recommend this place! Everything was at the highest level – from the wonderful atmosphere, through comfortable accommodation, to the hospitality of the hosts. The hotel is located in a quiet green area, which makes you really relax and feel the island's climate. The rooms are clean, spacious and very climate-friendly, and the proximity of the forest adds this unique charm to the place. The biggest assets of Secret Garden Homestay are, however, – hosts hearty, helpful and always smiley.They were happy to advise us what was worth seeing at Koh Yao Yai, helped in the transportation organization and made sure that we didn't miss anything. This is a place with the soul we would love to return to. If you are looking for a quiet corner in the surrounding nature, Secret Garden Homestay is the perfect choice!

Such a lovely place, such a lovely face! Can see amazing sunrise from the terrace, nice garden, private beach, terrific services, hospitable owner, wonderful 3 days spent there. Will come back again! PS: the hotel owner provides car pickup and delivery services, they make sure your boat has arrived before they leave the dock.

I visited over a weekend with my wife and three daughters. We booked a family beach villa and had a beautiful stay. Please note, that for those who are sensitive to mosquitoes, the rooms are infested with them. The property does their best in providing repellents of different types but good to know ahead of time. Also, to note, the family villa is one large open room with two king beds; perfect for families with small kids but not for two couples. The property’s access to the beach is ideal. We experienced the complimentary kayaking, and our long boat ride came to pick us up right off the private beach. The gardens, the swimming pool (1.2mtr), and the beach access makes It ideal for families with young children.

This is a good hotel where every room is on the pool. Breakfast was good with lots of choices except, no pork. The island of Yao Yai is predominately muslim, so pork isnt offered. Great sunsets, good restaurants close and good massage places too. Motorbikes are available so you can tour the island and see all the different beaches. Taxis to and from the piers are offered and the speed boats to and from the islands are inexpensive. The sunsets here are awesome.

Overall good, clean and luxurious, especially if you want isolation and luxury, although too many people. But our bathroom door was blocked from inside, shower drain was blocked and shower flooded. Massage price is too high (5000 baht + 1000 tax), which is 15-10 times more than street price. Food is not that expensive but no local delicacies like shell fish or sato beans. Very good park and beach, nice staff and fast service, except for golf carts at peak time.

This hotel is located on a side street off the main road. We particularly enjoyed the friendly welcome. We had a standard room, which was very clean, had a safe, and fresh towels were provided daily if desired. It was a good size, and we were lucky enough to get a corner room, which meant we had an extra window and a small private terrace. The hotel is right on the beach, but also has two pools. Additionally, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to what is supposedly one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The hotel restaurant offers a very extensive breakfast buffet; the only downside is that the coffee machine takes a while. The food selection at the restaurant is also excellent. For those who are very sensitive to noise: since there's a pier directly on the hotel beach, it's often used by scooter riders to zoom around – it's actually quite fun to try yourself! :) I generally recommend always having earplugs for Thailand (also for speedboats) – we were able to sleep perfectly well.

We had a fantastic time for a couple of nights. We were picked up at the speedboat pier, luggage brought for us to the hotel room, greeted with a welcome drink even before checking in, and able to enjoy the remote location and quiet vibe of the hotel. The swimming pool offers a great view, and was rarely in use. This is a very well run, newly built, clean and well serviced hotel. We did not experience any resort activities, nor were we offered any. We hired a scooter for a day, directly at the hotel, at the cost of 300baht. This was a fantastic way to go exploring! Food at the restaurant was very good, although not necessarily fine dining by western standards. Occasionally, some dishes would be unavailable due to missing ingredients, such as avocados - but I guess that is how it is to live on an island!  Otherwise a fantastic stay, with staff that really try their hardest for you. It was lovely.

The bungalows are very cozy; it feels like you're in your grandma's village. There's a wonderful pool. For those on bikes, this is an ideal option for a night or two. While the bungalows aren't premium, we really liked the atmosphere.
