Monterey County Hotels with Parking

Carmel is a beautiful town and the hotel is in the town centre, so the location is perfect. Room was a little dated, but reasonably clean. On the night we arrived to check in, staff was super friendly and helpful. He gave us detailed instructions regarding our room and parking, also local restaurants recommendations. His service was a 5 star! On the morning of departure, we vacated the room and checked out at 9am. We went for a stroll in the town, and returned after an hour. When we returned at 10am I asked the staff (not the friendly staff helped us check in) if I can use a restroom. Knowing we just checked out, the staff bluntly replied there isn’t public toilet in the hotel, so we’d better use the one in the local park. When we asked if we could go back to our room to use the toilet as it’s still early. His said the cleaners were already in. We then walked to our car which was next to our room, only to find the cleaners hadn’t been at all. Zero hospitality, disappointed.

The location was good, a short walk to Asilomar Beach which is a wonderful coastal trail with deer, bunnies & lots of birds in the early morning (before 7am). Was a bit disappointed that no bottled water was available in the room, and the lobby was locked before 8am and after 9pm when we wanted to get a drink. The coffee maker has water tasting of coffee, which is not ideal for non-coffee drinkers like myself. Toothbrushes not provided. My emails prior to the stay went unanswered. It was suggested that we pay $20 for laundry, and we had to ask multiple times where they either told us it was too early / too late and then to look for housekeeping to ask on our own. Night time is quiet but day time is noisy once housekeeping commences, and in the afternoon we had several calls and knocks on our door from housekeeping when we were trying to rest. They did not wait for us to answer but kept calling. I'm likely to choose a different place for future stays. There are several in this same location that are not as costly. I only chose this because the reviews seemed great.

There are no attractions around the hotel and it takes 40 minutes to walk by the sea. As a temporary accommodation, if you are on vacation, you will be free from entertainment and leisure. Hotel Wi-Fi is not good, maybe I live on the far side, there is almost no net in the room. The hotel has coffee, bread, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, but it is simple but can be eaten. The customer service was not particularly clean. When I went in, I found black stains on the sheets. The front desk sent me sheets to let me change, saying that the waiters were off work. In short, I feel like a hotel.

We stayed with our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children). The room was clean and spacious, and we had a comfortable stay. It is a little far from Fisherman's Wharf and the Aquarium of the Bay in the center of Monterey, about 15 minutes by car.

The hotel view was superb. Staying on a high floor facing away from the main road, the morning view was absolutely stunning! There's also a heated swimming pool and a soaking tub, but unfortunately we didn't bring our swimsuits, so we couldn't experience them. The hotel elevators were a bit old; we were worried about getting stuck inside. The breakfast was just average, a typical American breakfast. However, the hotel had an automatic pancake machine, which was interesting. The overall environment was nice, but the lack of a laundry room deducted one point from the facilities.

The accommodations were impressive, with a spacious and well-maintained room that was both clean and comfortable, creating a restful and pleasant atmosphere. The attention to cleanliness and upkeep was evident, which enhanced our overall sense of relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were consistently friendly, courteous, and attentive to our needs, ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality contributed significantly to our positive impression of the hotel. Additionally, the hotel’s location proved to be highly convenient. Situated near various dining options and shopping centers, it allowed for easy access to essentials, making our trip more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, we found the Monarch Valley Inn to be a great value for the price. The combination of comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and a convenient location made for an enjoyable stay.

Good facilities, there are fridge and microwave in the room, quite helpful for travelers who want to est something simple for breakfast or dinner. The room service helps to keep the room clean. Downside is it can be noisy at night and can hear the outside when the people outside is loud.

We stayed at this hotel the day before the Monterey marathon event. The bed was big and comfortable. However, it was noisy because the walls were thin and the Monterey Airport is nearby. There are free coffee and apples and chocolate bars in the lobby!

The hotel is in a good location, quiet place in the small town of Carmel. The facilities are old. There are spider webs on the window. The mattress can hear the sound of springs when you turn over. Several are cheaper in this area. The restaurant opposite the corner is delicious.

The room can be, the room with two beds will look small, the faucet is relatively simple, of course, the facilities will be old, because the age is relatively old, the front desk service is good!
