Palmers Lane Estate Hunter Valley
"We had a lovely stay at Palmers Lane Estate over the EASTER WEEKEND. We booked the 5bedroom cabin for 3 nights which was very spacious and were given the cabin with a large external verandah having 11 people stay was great. On arrival we had a complimentary cheese platter and bottle of Palmers Lane Estate wine. The grounds were lovely, play area for children and outdoor pool all within walking distance. The Estate was full of Kangaroos who would come visit in the morning and afternoon. I'd never seen that many, up to 15 at one stage. Wild rabbits would roam around at night too so you would have to drive very cautiously in and out of the estate at all times. My only criticism was the cabin attracted mosquito's especially inside our bedrooms, and we had to sleep with the fan on at night to keep them away so possibly invest in some outdoor/Indoor mosquito zappers. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
The Carriages
"Comfortable, quiet, welcoming. A generous breakfast was delivered about 8am each day and was lovely to eat out on the wide verandah. The pool was deep enough for a refreshing splash on a hot afternoon. Tennis before breakfast was fun."
Peppers Hunter Valley Accor Vacation Club Apartments
"Perfect. Love it. Will definitely go back again and everyone was friendly and helpful. Manage to see some kangaroos as well"
Spicers Vineyards Estate
"Delightful property in the heart of Australia wine country. We spent an idyllic couple of days here, riding bikes that the property provided between local vineyards (there are lots to choose from) is a memory that will long be cherished. The property itself is lovely - quiet, charming and well appointed. Great restaurant too. Can't fault it. Stay here!"
Nu Leaf Retreat
"We booked the property for a family weekend event. Very peaceful space, generous and well appointed rooms - clean and well presented. Great facilities for all ages. Very welcoming manager/owner. Highly recommended for any large family or small corporate function."
Gumnut Grove The Vintage
Elysia Wellness Retreat
"Some of the things in the room were a little bit worn out. Light switch cover cracked. The fridge failed after 2 days."
The Convent Hunter Valley Hotel
"This is a beautiful hotel, especially the front desk staff, SAM, who enthusiastically introduced us to the hotel. This century-old building features a romantic French design. Highly recommended."
Elfin Hill Vineyard Accommodation
Villa Provence
"We were pleasantly surprised by Villa Provence, couldn’t be happier with the location, charm and cleanliness of the place. I would definitely return. Communication via text message was very clear in regards to key collection. It has beautiful gardens and facilities, photos don’t do the place justice!!"
Pokolbin Farm Stay
"Amazing stay. Room was super clean and modern. Love the espresso machine and they also provided milk. Really great basic necessities and the shower amenities smell fantastic. Fantastic place to relax and chill, overlooking the vineyards, watching kangaroos hop, and cows grazing the fields. It’s exactly what a getaway should be. Easy to check in and out. Thank you."
Brokenback Views Country Estate Hunter Valley
"Lovely spot for a weekend in Pokolbin, set way back from the road in a picturesque clearing filled with wallabies! So nice to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down as they fed on the grass. Lovely spacious room with kitchenette and a big bathtub. Beautiful bathroom products by Jurlique was a nice touch ! The bed was a little firm for me but my husband loved it. Knocked off a star for cleanliness as you could see the walls were quite dusty when the up lights were on. It didn’t feel super private , you could hear all conversation when guests were out on their balconies."
Wine Country Villas
"Wine Country Villas was excellent, we stayed in a 2 bed villa which has two good sized bedrooms. The place was very clean and well presented with all main items provided, including plenty of beach towels alongside the fridge stocked for breakfast. Checkin was easy as they send you a code on the day which allows you to access the property, so very Covid Safe. The lovely balcony deck is great to sit and enjoy breakfast and the view of Hunter Valley, and the pool is great. The kids loved it. The location is good and a very short drive to all the Vineyards and Hunter Valley Gardens, and a 15 min drive to Cessnock if you need to go to the Supermarkets. The only area of improvement would be replacing some of the pans as they were very old and unusable, something which should be a quick fix."
