Estate Tuscany ★★★★
"A clean, calm hotel in a secluded area. Surrounded by dozens of wineries, the hotel's location is perfect for exploring new and exciting adventures. Extremely friendly staff, beautiful landscape and quiet environment. I would definitely recommend it!"
The Lane Retreat ★★★★
"Excellent room view, very clean, and great privacy. I would come again."
Chateau Elan at The Vintage ★★★★★
"The environment is good, the room is large, and there are wild kangaroos if you have a chance to go there. It's worth staying for two more days. The facilities are also complete, including swimming pools, tennis courts and golf courses. Just make a reservation for dinner in advance otherwise it closes very early. The first floor is dark. Free parking is available and suitable for self-driving tours. You need to bring some food with you, as the supermarket is far away."
Harrigan's Hunter Valley ★★★★
"Amazing space and good hot water supply. Food was ok."
Spicers Guesthouse ★★★★★
"Friendly staff, cozy hotel room with needy amenities. The restaurant is pretty good. Strong recommendation 👍"
H Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"Since I arrived at 5:00 PM, I initially thought there was no entrance, but later discovered everything was in the emails. I suggest checking the first email you receive."
voco™ Kirkton Park Hunter Valley, an IHG Hotel ★★★★
"They don’t allow pets unless service dogs, 100 dollar extra for one night for service dogs - to avoid any future doubts."
Grapevines Boutique Accommodation ★★★★
"Amazing place for relaxing after a day of wine tasting in the Hunter Valley. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Staff were lovely. Kangaroo spotting early evening and first thing in the morning while having your coffee - unforgettable. Wished we could’ve stayed longer. "
Peppers Hunter Valley ★★★★

Spicers Vineyards Estate
"The service is poor, with staff training desperately needed. The hotel ran out of some popular wine, with no plausible explanation as to why. The breakfast menu had sausages on several dishes. They were out of sausages for several days. The hotel did not supply newspapers, even when requested. We had wine glasses (given as a gift) removed from our room by house services with No explanation as to why. It was an effort to retrieve them. The Hotel markets themselves 5 Star accomodation. It’s a long way off 5 Star. We will not be returning there."
Clayfields Hunter Valley
"We knew this place was special from reading the reviews &the informative website... but wow, there is still nothing that prepares you for the ambiance, luxury &attention to detail that Gillian has provided for a trip to the Hunter... we stayed 5nights &it stil wasn't long enough... LOL... already excited for our return trip next year... Charlie & Kylie Sydney Australia"
Villa Provence
"We were pleasantly surprised by Villa Provence, couldn’t be happier with the location, charm and cleanliness of the place. I would definitely return. Communication via text message was very clear in regards to key collection. It has beautiful gardens and facilities, photos don’t do the place justice!!"
The Convent Hunter Valley Hotel
"This is a beautiful hotel, especially the front desk staff, SAM, who enthusiastically introduced us to the hotel. This century-old building features a romantic French design. Highly recommended."
Elfin Hill Vineyard Accommodation
The Carriages
"Comfortable, quiet, welcoming. A generous breakfast was delivered about 8am each day and was lovely to eat out on the wide verandah. The pool was deep enough for a refreshing splash on a hot afternoon. Tennis before breakfast was fun."
Elysia Wellness Retreat
"Elysia is a wonderful combination of exercise, wellness, good food and relaxation. We go for a week each New Year for a total reset and to kickstart our year (we just booked for our 7th straight year). We've come to know the team at Elysia and we rate them so highly. It seems each year we get something different from the experience. Matt and Tom are fantastic leaders and coaches, Gina for classes, Deb in dining service and treatments with Scott, Lachlan and Siddhi; they provide an all-round wonderful health and wellness package and we love that you can do as little or as much as you want. And also important to mention, we have become great friends with many of our fellow guests over the years and this has been the one of the great joys of being an Elysia guest."
Gumnut Grove The Vintage
Nu Leaf Retreat
"We booked the property for a family weekend event. Very peaceful space, generous and well appointed rooms - clean and well presented. Great facilities for all ages. Very welcoming manager/owner. Highly recommended for any large family or small corporate function."
Peppers Hunter Valley Accor Vacation Club Apartments
"Nice apartment with fireplace and big space"
Tower Lodge
"Stayed here for a few nights after reading the reviews. The location was good and it was a nice quiet place. The room itself was a good size, but was not very light and airy and could have done with some TLC and a freshen up with some lighter colors. The bed and the bathroom were good, although the locking of the room door was very strange, with the door having to be locked from the outside before going to bed. Never seen it before……. My biggest disappointment was the WiFi. It was slowwwwww, and I mean slow. Normally you would expect 30-50+mbps but this was between 3 & 4 mbps. I brought this up with the office lady who said she would discuss with the manager. Nothing was ever done and I didn’t receive any feedback. Another thing was the staff seemed very few and far between, possibly a cost cutting thing by the owners. On a positive note, the highlight was the food. This was very nice and well presented and the staff were very attentive."
Wine Country Villas
"it's was a super lovely place. swimming pool was wonderful. everyday wake up you can see kangaroo. And very private place too."
