This was my second time here I brought my family bc I had a great stay. This time I stayed on the royal side and there was construction on half of the area so wasn’t pleased but wouldn’t let that spoil our trip. We had so many issues with our rooms we changed three times due to broken air conditioner mouldy smelly rooms and my mother had to change three times as well. The first time they gave us a beautiful upgrade for one night then kicked us out and didn’t see anyone in that room for 4 days. Then again due to a huge leak in the Ceiling. Two out of 4 people got ill from the food which was pretty tasty but not sure if there was a good bacteria issue. The beach is annoying bc the vendors bother you all day. I understand they have to make a living but some can get pushy and aggressive. I would have liked to return but the experience was lacking for me this time which was disappointing bc I really liked Catalonia and I raved about it to my family. They also still liked it but annoyed at moving rooms every other night like we weren’t able to settle in a relax. Hopefully no one else has to experience this. The grounds are soo nice and I love all the nature and wild life! The juice bar was also amazing

Riu service is good. Hard working individuals. The first night the sheets looked worn. After tipping they were better quality and towels were softer. Riu does not provide washcloths. The food was good. Several restaurant options. Nightly entertainment was good. The grounds are immaculate. Literally on the beach. They need rain screen showers. Water pump shuts down at night.

The resort itself was beautiful but there were pros and cons. More cons than I wanted. Pool closed at 6 pm so no night swimming which left little to do in the evenings. Drinks were weak, drank all day long with no effect. Food was the worst. The buffet was terrible and was really our only option since the snack bar ran out of burgers, basically lived on chips and salsa the entire trip. The restaurants which you needed to make reservations for was a joke. The reservation app didn’t work so you had to wake am up at 6 am to stand in line until 8 am in hopes of getting a reservation. The service was not pleasant. Workers badly made eye contact with you and you always felt like you were bothering them when requesting a beverage or asking a question. The resort has potential if they stopped it up on service, food, drinks and entertainment.

I went with my two good friends on our yearly girls trip, and then my mom arrived for her bday. We all loved how beautiful and calm the beach was and all the amenities but we thought the food and drink was not on par with other Secrets or All inclusive hotels we have stayed in. I have stayed at Secrets the Vine Cancun 3 times, Hyatt Zilara Punta Cana, and Hard Rock Los Cabos. Also thought that during the day the pool area was vary boring except during the activities (water aerobics, volleyball, zumba) but it would be cool to have a DJ or louder more fun music playing. It was also very hard to find shade at the pool and the beach, wish there were more chairs with umbrellas. The night entertainment was great at Desires and at the lobby especially the Dj and bands that played more upbeat dancing music, and Black Coffee got everyone to dance and was such a great vibe, we love him. Our concierge/butler - Osvaldy Guerrero Cedano is a true Gem, the best concierge/butler I've ever had. He was super responsive and helped us out at all times. It was my mom's bday and he had the room decorated with cake and Champagne and she loved it. He totally made her day more special. Ultimately I thought that this Secrets was more for couples where most Adults only resorts are a bit more fun and have more of a variety of people of all ages, for example girls trip, bachelorette, bachelor, wedding party. it seemed way more focused for couples and we all felt a bit out of a place. Lastly our room smelled like mold, I wish we had complained and had it changed it because on the last day our Concierge/Butler allowed us to checkout late and then enjoy the resort and use a room just to shower before leaving for our late flight. The room that we used the shower in was the same size but no smell of mold. The service was amazing though, all employees were super nice, kind, helpful and smily they made the atmosphere so great! Thanks for everything!

Reliable, no thunder, all-inclusive hotel, the food in the restaurant is good The hotel itself is very good, but if you book through Ctrip, there is no problem. If you have a problem, you can't find anyone to help solve it. Ctrip and the hotel kick each other. For example, we arrived late due to aviation reasons. Ctrip did not give a day delay. When we arrived at the hotel, the hotel said that if it was directly booked with the hotel, it could be extended. Ctrip does not give extensions or refunds

Our stay at Breathless was incredible; the room was great, the food was delicious, but the whole experience was taken over the top by our VIP concierge, Pablo. We have stayed in many top-rated hotels and resorts all around the world, but we have never felt so safe and comforted as we did at Breathless. We received a text message from our VIP every day about what activities would happen on the property and when. We were also told many times if we had any problems to let him know or if we were looking to have any experiences or see any shows. He was able to connect the dots with everything. We felt like celebrities and because of it we had an amazing trip.

A short but great trip. it was our first time in Cap Cana, and as soon as we walked into TRS the service was absolutely amazing. I am a travel agent, so this was more to promote my experience to my future clients. The welcome drink was amazing, the atmosphere was very modern and chic. Both guest service personnel were great. Stephanie our butler truly went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The resort is small but just what we were looking for as we have experienced larger resorts, and the service is not the best. Javier the Chef at TRS was also very nice and attentive. Very skillful chef. The food was top of line. My favorite was the ceviche, and the rib steak at the Caribbean restaurant, typical Dominican food which I love. The pool and marina were amazing! Love that they play bachata and Dominican music as we are in DR. Not a beach resort, however always beautiful to see the sunset on the marina. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the marina. We will most definit3ley stay again and for more days. Will definitely recommends! Thank you for the service!

We just stayed at the Dreams Onyx for five nights and really enjoyed it. This was my husband and I’s fourth trip to Punta Cana and this was our favorite stay so far! The hotel grounds are beautiful. Very well maintained and everything is so clean! The rooms are very new and nothing seemed outdated at all. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the nightlife was fun too! We did a silent disco, which was an absolute blast, saw a fire show and went to the beach party. All were fun! We decided to spend more money on the preferred club and were glad we did! This came with a butler, who checked in with us every day to tell us about the daily events and see if we needed anything. Our butler was Elais, and he went above and beyond. The preferred pool was beautiful and allowed us to walk around to the different pools but come back to a calmer home base. Alajandro and Ismael from the bar were our favorites - happy all the time and so nice! The other large pool seemed fun - lots of kids there during our stay which is fine as we have young kids ourselves but may not be fun for those looking for a quieter vibe - no kids allowed in the preferred pool so I’d recommend it if you don’t want kids around! They also have a different pool near the family suites with three water slides - two are enclosed and pitch black and one open - the signs say you have to be 9 years old or 4’6” which seemed a little crazy for the open slide. I am hoping to bring my kids back but they are shorter than than so they wouldn’t be able to use them. They do have a small splash pad in the explorers club, which sits behind the hotel by itself, isn’t near the pool and adults are not allowed except between 3-5. I’d this hotel had a splash pad that was near the slide pool I would be all in for coming back with my young kids. They also had a teen area but we didn’t see any kids in there when we checked it out. Elias gave us a tour of a family suite as we are thinking of returning with our kids - those are huge!! Three separate rooms all connected! Pricey though but beautiful! We enjoyed the food as well - I’d say it was 4/5 stars. Nothing blew us away but all tasted good. We did the hibachi, blue water steak house, capers (Italian), and tamarindo (Mexican). Would go back to each of them again if we stayed longer. We didn’t buffet for breakfast and lunch - felt like they could have had more options but I always found something to eat. Rafael was our waiter each day and was so friendly and kind! The beach was nice - hardly saw any seeweed, which is a first for us!! Had some bigger waves when we were there but may have been due to the hurricanes - we had gorgeous weather luckily! Overall we will definitely stay here again!!!
