We stayed for two nights, we were arriving very late and coordinated the airport pickup with the hotel ($35 for 3 people). Despite our delayed flight, our driver waited for us and drove us to the Centro Histórico, about an hour from the airport. Upon arrival, the driver called the hotel, and they promptly opened the doors, gave us our keys, and allowed us to complete the formal check-in in the morning (nice touch!). Keep in mind there are several sets of stairs, which might be challenging for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. We reserved two rooms—a double and a single. Both had plenty of hot water, and the WiFi worked well. The breakfast was unique—an employee would explain the fruit of the day and serve fresh juice made from it. They also offered additional fresh fruit with granola, plus your choice of eggs, tea, or filtered coffee. They reserved a specific table for our party and were particularly attentive when one of us experienced altitude sickness. The internal patio was lovely. The location was excellent. When l stepping out of the hotel, heading left, you could reach the Basílica Nacional del Voto but before getting there taking another right would lead you to a nice fruit market with plenty of inexpensive local food options. I noticed the stores and restaurants to the left of the hotel (away from the Plaza Grande) were less touristy. The hotel is also very close to Plaza Grande and steps from Palacio Arzobispal—in fact, you can take a shortcut through the Palacio Arzobispal to reach Plaza Grande. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay at a great price.
