A bit rough round the edges but clean and friendly. Great to get two double beds in a twin room, with the added bonus of a bath as well as a shower, very welcome after a long day's hike. We had dinner at the pub. Which was well presented and delicious. All in all great value for money.

Not the experience advertised for over £80. We arrived and the pub was under new management so was in chaos, not serving food in the evening or breakfast, much of the reason we booked, and confusingly there had been an email that day asking us to book our breakfast for the next day! We were not notified that this was now the case. They didn't seem to know that the booking was for 1 adult and 2 children. The room was very basic, the sink leaked over night so there was water all over the floor, the toilet seat was completely loose, so if you sat on it you could easily fly off it, half a roll of toilet paper!!! The bathroom had cracks in paintwork. The heating had a mind of its own so was just on full blast the whole night, so it was like a sauna with no where to get extra water from. As a result no one slept well at all. The bar manger was friendly and offered an apology that he had just been bought in by the chain to remedy it all, but the service and facilities in no way reflected the website, if I had known of the state of all this I would have cancelled my booking!!!

Shower didn’t work, no soap in the room. No one answered the phone when we tried to get it rectified and no one answered in the morning. No one was around for us to check out and when we called no one answered. I have emailed, messaged and called and it has all been completely ignored

Just OK...nothing more, nothing less. The bull is looking very tired and in need of some TLC . It was clean and is situated nicely to walk into Goring and Streatley. Think 80 quid is a tad expensive so what we experienced. I've stayed in the Swan, the Miller and Melrose cottage in the same villages ,would I return to the Bull ? Maybe

One of the worst places we’ve stayed in for comfort, cleanliness, amenities and quiet. Yellow limescale in sink, smell of damp from bathroom, watered down liquid soap, broken toilet roll holder, no shower provisions, glasses, hangers or make up of bed for our second night stay. Noise from next door, TV noise all night, small (double bed) with mattress sides that collapse if you’re too close to the edge. No one to check out with.

Unfortunately, they don't keep their promise. 2 amounts were wrongly debited from my credit card even though the room had already been paid for well before arrival. These 2 amounts would be credited back to the credit card within 10 days, but unfortunately this did not happen. In the meantime I have lost an extra £240 (the total was debited from my card even though this had already been paid 2 months earlier) and there is no response to emails. So even though I have been there twice with satisfaction, I am now really sad after the second time. So for now, very negative advice to book here. Before you know it you are paying extra for your room and they do not honor your payment and they do not respond to emails. Keep waiting for the refund to be made, but don't expect them to do this voluntarily at this point, because they won't contact you Very negative, despite the satisfied stay at the beginning of September and last year

We booked the Bull Inn as a last minute deal so to be fair at £80 a night when all around were booked up or horrendously expensive it was good for the money but we wouldn't have wanted to pay anymore. As we had time to spare, we enjoyed some nice pub food and to be honest we weren't expecting much at £13 a dinner. What we did get was a large plate of scrumptious food and large portions to boot. So they are definitely winning on that. The accommodation itself could have been given a bit of a spruce up, it looked tired and worn. On arrival we found there was no soap in the sink area and there was a notice on the table with coffee stains which was hard to read. There was one full size curtain across the door to keep out the light but the window only had a basic blind which let loads of light in from the security lights outside (which were on all night). It would have been better to have another curtain going across. The shower was dependent on other users in the block as the pressure kept reducing down which didn't make it an enjoyable experience. Beds on the other hand were comfy which is what you are ultimately paying for. Was £80 worth it? Given the area it's in, and the lack of availability, we couldn't grumble too much but if asked if we would stay there again, probably not.

The Bull inn is a lovely pub with rooms. We stayed one night for a wedding nearby. Our room was dated but clean perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay. Would have liked a kettle! However the best part of our stay was Ben, great customer service even helping us get to and from the wedding due to road closures and no taxi service available! We arrived early and even though the room wasn't ready he let us in to change and freshen up and when we returned later the room was lovely and clean. Once we got back from the wedding we had a lovely couple of drinks at the pub served by a friendly and sweet barmaid. I would definitely recommend the bull inn and would be delighted to stay again in the future. Thanks Ben!

The building with the rooms is quaint. The room itself and the separate bathroom were a reasonable size, and the location is amazingly quiet. check-in was easy at the bar in the restaurant. Unfortunately the place was let down by the little things: No soap by the sink. No spare toilet paper. Only one coffee pod (there were two nice mugs though) and no kettle. A crack in the sink. We were able to check in fine in the evening, but in the mornings there was nobody to talk to (we also had trouble contacting the inn by phone). We left the window open because it was a hot summer night, and there was a buzzing noise from nearby which we think was a commercial refrigerator. The room and bed were clean, and reasonably comfy though. Might we also suggest you invest in some larger linen bins - these were somewhat unsightly and slightly spoiled the garden area. Although this is not the most expensive place to stay in the area, next time we will spend a bit more and stay somewhere else.
