But the room is well maintained, the furniture is very new, I like the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room, the view is open, very comfortable, like it, not far from Danxia Mountain, so I live in the county for the convenience of eating."

"The scenic area was buzzing with Chinese New Year festivities. They even had a 'winter wonderland' setup with artificial snow, so you could enjoy a snowy landscape without traveling north. During the day, I took my parents on a mini-train ride, a boat trip around the lake, and horseback riding. In the evening, we gathered around a fire pit in the guesthouse courtyard for tea and a reunion dinner. The Yao bath in the room was fantastic; after a soak, I felt warm all over, and my sleep even improved. The staff were warm and attentive, making our entire experience from check-in to check-out very smooth. Visiting during the off-season offered incredible value for money – fewer crowds and beautiful scenery. It's an excellent choice for a Chinese New Year getaway to avoid the crowds!"

"First off, let me rave about this place! We went in with high expectations, expecting a typical inn, but this guesthouse truly surprised us. Firstly, the owner's aesthetic sense is clearly superb; the huge floor-to-ceiling windows framed the famous "Child Worshipping Guanyin" statue like a painting, instantly putting us in a good mood. Secondly, the room was incredibly clean, comparable to a star-rated hotel, without the overpowering disinfectant smell. The bedding was impeccable. Even though I'm usually a light sleeper, I slept soundly through the night! The aunties were also incredibly attentive, like family members, always looking out for us, worried we were hungry or cold. Most touching of all, they even packed fruit for us to eat on the way! On the way back, everyone was raving about it, saying they'd definitely stay here again next time! It's amazing to find a guesthouse in Shaoguan that offers such privacy, tranquility, Chinese aesthetics, and exceptional service. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but after staying there, I realized that value for money is key!"

Everything else was fine, but the biggest headache was the two beds. Both of us were itchy and couldn't sleep at night. At first I thought there were bugs in the bed, but I saw there were no bugs. I don’t know why, but I’m so itchy that I can’t sleep well. It was extremely noisy in the morning and the soundproofing was very poor. I will never stay in a B&B again. It is better to stay in a hotel. At least when I stay in a hotel, I have never encountered bedding that made me itchy and unable to sleep."

She even assisted me to purchase a discounted ticket for the Danxia night cruise. Inn's location is located near the Danxia main gate as well as eateries. Perfect Chinese hospitality. Truly a home away from home. TIP: Non locals including foreigners who flew into Guangdong province within the last 10 days and can show their air tickets at the ticket counter can get a free 2 day visit to the Danxia Mountains. Information is accurate as at January 2026."
