"The Pearl Residence hotel offers a pleasant setting for a professional stay in Bujumbura. The hotel staff is attentive, and the breakfast is good. I tested several rooms in this hotel, you should avoid the rooms on the ground floor which overlook the parking lot. On the other hand, the rooms which overlook the interior courtyard or the swimming pool are very comfortable. There is air conditioning, the shower is hot and there are mosquito nets around the bed. Hug oroblem though is they locked the door at midnight so it is difficult or impossible to get back in or leave again if you want to be out past that time."
