"Since it was the off-season, we received a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room, which was a wonderful surprise with its glacier theme. The stay included tickets to the Ocean Park, which was very convenient. There's a free shuttle bus right outside the hotel, and hotel guests also get free parking for their car when leaving the island. Breakfast was fantastic – varied and plentiful, with both Chinese and Western options. The hotel's overall decor is grand but not old-fashioned, and there's a gym and swimming pool. Our butler, Jin Jing, was also excellent; she promptly answered all our questions and thoughtfully helped us plan our itinerary. I highly recommend staying at the European Castle Hotel when you visit Hainan Flower Island; the experience was superb!"

"The room was a real surprise! Because of the scenery and the spaciousness. From the 11th floor, you can see the unobstructed river view, the No. 2 sea crossing bridge, the sparse crowds, and the residents singing loudly. The kitchen is complete with microwave ovens, kettles, and refrigerators, which are very convenient to use. The overall hygiene of the house is OK, because there are not too many complicated facilities and it looks simple. There is a little smell of hexachlorobenzene in the corner of the sofa in the living room. I wonder if it is used for insecticide? You need to open more windows for ventilation; the bathroom in the master bedroom has a serious odor; and the peephole of the door is open, so you must be sure to block it yourself. There is also a half-moon-shaped hole in the smart lock of the door, which also needs to be blocked by yourself. The privacy is a little poor: you can see the living room anyway (the last picture)."

"Stayed two nights at the Hilton Hainan Ocean Flower Island. While the island itself felt a bit quiet, the hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A special shout-out to Elaine, who, right from check-in, enthusiastically gave us an overview of the island and even gifted us complimentary breakfast for our child. "The Four Points by Sheraton Danzhou was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with excellent and modern facilities. "We went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels. Cleanliness: overall quite clean. Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island. Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced. Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them."
