"The room was spacious, and there were no issues with the facilities, cleanliness, or service. The only problem was a persistent humming sound coming from the hallway. It wasn't overly loud, but it was continuous and significantly disrupted my sleep. This really needs to be addressed!"

"I recently stayed at Eastin Hotel Penang, and unfortunately, the experience did not fully meet my expectations. The room felt quite outdated and was too cramped for two adults and one toddler. There was very limited space to move around comfortably, especially with luggage and a child. It did not feel suitable for a small family stay. The toilet appeared poorly maintained, with visible mold on the walls, making it look dirty and unpleasant. The wardrobe design was also unsettling it was an open wardrobe without doors located right next to the bed. When the lights were off and clothes were hanging inside, it felt quite eerie. Drinking water was limited to six small bottles per day, and toiletries were provided in minimal quantities. The pillows seemed old and flat, and were not comfortable to sleep on. Unlike other hotels that provide soft, fluffy pillows, these felt worn out and affected the quality of sleep. Breakfast service was another disappointment. Some staff at the egg station had difficulty understanding simple English instructions. When I asked for sunny side up eggs, I was served an omelette instead. When I requested a well-done, fully cooked egg for my child, the staff again seemed unable to understand, which was frustrating. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is convenient. It is only about a 3–4 minute walk to Queensbay Mall, making shopping and dining very accessible. It is also approximately 10–15 minutes’ drive to Penang International Airport and close to the Penang Bridge, which is convenient for travelers. Overall, the stay was disappointing in terms of room condition, comfort, and service quality. I hope the hotel can improve its maintenance standards and staff training to provide a better experience for future guests."

"I have to say, it was a pretty decent experience overall. The best part for me was definitely the staff—they were all super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and it felt pretty spacious, which was a nice surprise. The location was also really convenient for getting around to see the sights. On the flip side, you could tell the hotel has been around for a while. The decor and some of the amenities, like the swimming pool, felt a bit old. My air conditioner was a little noisy, but it still did the job. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for a good value stay without expecting all the latest and greatest features."

"Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. "The room was really spacious and great, and it seemed quite clean. The location, however, was pretty isolated. They have a pool and a ping-pong table, but I hardly saw any other guests. There wasn't much to eat nearby, but the breakfast was excellent, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. We booked this hotel because it looked close to the airport for an early morning flight the next day. However, we didn't realize how difficult it would be to get a taxi from there. During morning rush hour, there's only one mountain road leading out, and it gets congested. We called three taxis, and all the drivers canceled. Thankfully, an ethnic Chinese driver finally accepted the ride and didn't cancel – we were incredibly grateful and even gave him an extra tip. Unfortunately, the check-in counter closed five minutes before we arrived, so we had to buy a new flight ticket 😭. This isn't the hotel's fault, but if you're booking this place because it's close to the airport, learn from our painful lesson."

"Room got bad smell from toilet, have crockroach, many ants in the table, There is no tooth brush/tooth paste, no slippery, shower cap etc as amenities in hotel bed not good need change new bed, Towel not fresh still got bad smell.. bfast too spicy for local food, Hotel price not worth it, old hotel"

"The washing machine in the hotel is very convenient. A big bed and two sofas are also good. There is no disposable toiletries and no slippers. It can be improved, but the best thing is that there is a water dispenser that is very good. Unfortunately, because of things, I have not had time to experience the infinity pool on the top floor. Next time I go to Penang, I must experience it. I want to live in this house. After all, it is too convenient to go to the airport."
