"The room was very spacious, love it! It was very clean too! Very homey! The owners & staff were very friendly, helped us get to Semporna fast & fuss free! Even arranged a pickup for us from airport to their stay for RM180. Very worth it, will go again!!! But hope they enforce a rule to have guests lower their volume after 10pm or 11pm, our place of stay was beside a dining hall & the guests were speaking & laughing very loudly after 10pm..."

"This hotel met my expectations and was reasonably priced! The room was very clean, the sheets were clean and odor-free, and the facilities were relatively dust-free, much cleaner than many hotels in China. The environment was unique, quiet, and comfortable, with a large activity area and plenty of flowers and plants for photo opportunities. The view from the window was also beautiful, with many small animals like bush mice and birds, but few mosquitoes. There were also plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing. Wi-Fi was available throughout the hotel, and there was a Chinese-speaking housekeeper. Scheduled shuttle service was convenient, and the breakfast was delicious, with both porridge and noodles, and I didn't feel unfamiliar. The hotel's seafood was fresh and prepared on site, and all meals were eaten at the hotel. The price was reasonable and convenient. The barbecue party was a real treat; I didn't expect there would be an evening event here, which really made the most of the day. The facilities were complete and new, meeting all my daily needs. The hotel also provided a very thoughtful way to turn on the air conditioning in advance, and there was plenty of hot water. The front desk service was friendly, and my stay was a perfect experience. I will be back with friends next time."

"Hotel Review Positive Points: 1. Air-conditioning was very effective and kept the room comfortable throughout the stay. 2. Great window view – beautiful sea and jetty scenery that adds to the relaxing atmosphere. (see my attached picture) 3. Excellent location – conveniently close to eateries and the jetty, making it easy to get around. 4. Reasonably priced in-house food – offers good value for money for guests who prefer to dine in. 5. Complimentary extra bottled water was provided upon request, which was appreciated. 6. Friendly and helpful staff across all departments – from housekeeping, café, and maintenance to the front desk. Everyone was courteous and attentive. 7. Special mention to the chef – a very kind and gentlemanly person. On our first day, we ordered 6 fried eggs for breakfast, assuming they were included. The chef initially didn’t inform us of the RM2 charge per egg and kindly did not charge us for them. When we later tried to order again, he politely informed us about the charge. We truly appreciated his honesty and kind gesture. 8. very nice grilled meat at the roof cafe (5th floor).The promo price is 5 sticks for rm9.9 . worth to eat! --- Areas for Improvement: 1. Limited breakfast buffet selection – mainly local dishes such as chicken, eggs, vegetables, rice, or noodles. While the food was tasty, there were no options like fresh milk, cereal, or egg station. Fruit choices were also limited to just bananas every day. 2. Window leakage during heavy rain – rainwater entered the room. However, the staff responded promptly and mopped the floor immediately. 3. No robe hooks in the bathroom – makes it inconvenient to hang clothes or towels. 4. Shortage of bath towels – clean towels were only available in the late afternoon after laundry was returned. 5. Extra blanket charge – an additional around rm50-60 was required if requesting one more blanket, which felt a bit expensive. 6. Low water pressure in the shower – the water flow was quite weak, making the shower experience less enjoyable. 7. Housekeeping quality needs improvement – there was sand in the room, and although we informed the staff, it was not cleaned properly even after the feedback. Extra Tip for Travellers: There’s no laundry shop in Semporna town, so do remember to bring enough clothes for your stay."

"I saw sea turtles in the morning and the symbiotic fish on their backs. It was very spectacular to see the fish illuminated by the lights at night. Highly recommended. I was lucky enough to see a baby sea turtle being released at 5 o'clock in the evening. I went boating and the snorkeling instructor was very good. I looked for small crabs. It was a perfect holiday. The weather basically didn't rain, and there were not too many people there. The waiters didn't bother me. Unlike the two nearby hotels where there were many day trippers, the hotel guests were actually affected. Overall five-star rating, the most recommended hotel on Bang Bang Island. I remind everyone to check the luggage when it is delivered to the room. When I left with a travel pillow, I remembered why I lost it and went to the lobby to get it. Another thing I didn't like was that the speed boat for the shuttle was going very fast for a while, which scared the baby to death."

"Had a really good stay here!!! From the boat transfer from Semporna Jetty to the resort, the staff were very attentive and helpful. Upon arrival at the Water Bungalow, I was welcomed with a welcome drink and a brief introduction and orientation of the facilities and the amenities was given by Jasni. Loved the spacious room and the stay was very comfortable. Sea nomads come by daily and offer coconuts and fresh seafood. If you are willing to buy they will be very happy; if you are not keen, just decline politely and they will leave you alone. Meals here were great, there was a variety of mains, fruits and desserts available. The compound is also very beautiful and the view is breathtaking at every corner. Indeed more expensive, but you are paying for the resort being in one of the best locations. They also provide diving and snorkelling services. The Water Bungalow Housereef is a divers heaven and it has many interesting pelagic animals to see. Truly loved my stay here and I believe I will be back."
