Staying here was a truly memorable experience. The resort is set in a serene location with a picturesque lake where you can fish and even take a boat ride around. The unique touch of being able to bring your catch to the kitchen and have the chef cook it up for dinner was a real highlight. You can also buy fresh seafood from the local market and ask the chef to prepare it however you like for a very reasonable fee. The food, prepared by the owner and chef who hail from Guangdong, was the best I’ve tasted in Semporna. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing authentic Chinese cuisine at its finest. The resort is about 15 minutes from Semporna town, but they offer a free shuttle service to and from the town, which makes it incredibly convenient for guests. At night, there’s outdoor karaoke under the stars, creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the resort had a homely vibe, with the owner and staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The resort itself is new, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. I felt right at home the entire time. The peaceful surroundings, combined with excellent service and food, made this a perfect getaway. To note that the staff mainly communicates in Mandarin, so knowing a bit of the language would be helpful. I stayed here for a night after a 5 day dive trip and this was the perfect place to unwind and relax. I loved my stay so much that I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in Semporna!

I came here with my wife for diving and stayed here again. I added the boss lady on WeChat when I stayed here last time. This time, the boss lady was busy running around for my wife to dive. I would like to express my gratitude. Because it happened to be the Malay New Year, the boss and the boss lady were gone, and only Master Zhou was watching the store. Many things were troublesome to him. He is a generous and smiling good man. A few days later, the boss came back and had a drink with the boss. As a result, we waived the money for washing clothes and drinking in the past few days. So everyone remember to find the boss to drink in the evening when you come, hahahaha. The hotel hardware is ordinary, mainly the service is good, so I won’t post the hotel pictures, just post the scenery, I wish the boss a prosperous business

Before booking, I was a little worried because there were no reviews on Ctrip. I was still in Semporna today, and Dahonghua was the quietest and most comfortable hotel I stayed at in the past few days. When you open the curtains, you will see the greenery and flowers in the garden, as if you have hidden the whole garden in your arms. In the morning, I was gently awakened by the sun and birdsong, and fell asleep with the fragrance of the garden and the starry sky at night. Even my breath was soaked in the poetry of nature. The hotel garden is a masterpiece of art. The tropical flowers and the flower forest landscape of the octagonal room design complement each other. Every step is like stepping into Monet's painting, and every shot is a movie-like blockbuster. What is more touching is the care for local seafood-from the iced fruit drinks handed over at check-in to the daily lobster sashimi reminder card, eat! Eat! Eat! .
