Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A bit noisy with the windows open, but perfectly fine when closed. Service: The front desk staff were super nice! When I felt unwell in the middle of the night, they quickly took me to see a doctor. They even shared their own food with me when I was hungry, haha! Just a heads-up for night snack lovers, remember to prepare some food in advance. Don't worry about your luggage; the staff will help you carry it. Facilities: This hotel offers great value for money and is quite comfortable. Plus, downstairs is their own restaurant with delicious food, and the owner will even help you bargain at the seafood market!

This was my second stay here. The hotel is located right on the street, about a ten-minute walk to the pier. The main reason I chose it was for the spacious rooms and great value for money. Traveling with kids, I particularly appreciated their triple room. The beds were large, the room was big, and the private bathroom was also spacious – overall, it felt very relaxing. There's a shared washing machine available, which is convenient for cleaning clothes after a day out at sea. For breakfast, they offer toast and jam downstairs, or you can cross the street to buy breakfast from the locals for a different experience. I forgot to take photos this time, but overall, it was great and worth trying.

So glad I chose Alice Home! The Beijing boss is incredibly hospitable, and our remote communication was always pleasant and easy. He's super efficient! Their place was the most spacious and comfortable I found in Semporna for the same price point, and my kid even got to watch TV. The location is super convenient, close to the center and the jetty, and there are two highly-rated 4.8 Chinese and Western restaurants right outside. Plus, it's a rare quiet spot, and the entrance is well-lit. The island-hopping tour team recommended by the boss was also fantastic; they had a dedicated person accompanying my 5-year-old in the water, which made my child incredibly happy and me feel completely at ease. Next time I come, I'll definitely book in advance and only stay here! 🎉🏠

Compared to the overall hygiene of the town, the facilities and environment here are quite good. The location is excellent, less than 50 meters from the dive shop, which is incredibly convenient for going out to sea. The downsides are the lingering formaldehyde smell from the recent renovation, which can be quite bothersome for those with sensitive noses. As for service, it's not non-existent, but perhaps because it's the off-season, it felt like there was only one staff member on duty at a time, either at the front desk or cleaning. Neither spoke Chinese, so travelers who aren't comfortable with English might want to consider this. Lastly, since it's on the second floor, carrying large luggage up might be a bit of a struggle.

I booked this hotel for a friend, and based on their feedback, the stay was very satisfying. The booking process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful during check-in. The location is also convenient, whether for vacation or business. Thank you to the hotel team for the good service. I’d consider staying here myself in the future.

I arrived in Tawau at 3 PM, but the airport didn't allow overnight stays, so I had to head to Semporna three hours earlier. Coincidentally, the front desk staff that day didn't speak Chinese or English, so we communicated using a translation app. It went smoothly; they allowed us to rest in the lobby and use the public restrooms. They were really kind and friendly throughout. After daybreak, we left our luggage there and went island hopping. We checked in upon our return in the evening. The cleanliness was good, and I didn't find any mosquitoes. My only minor regret was not having a place to hang my washed clothes, but thankfully, summer clothes dry quickly. The location is great, with plenty of food and drink options downstairs, including restaurants and supermarkets. Overall, for the price, I was very satisfied. If I go back, I'd definitely consider staying here again. I forgot to take photos of the hotel, so I'll just use my island hopping pictures instead.

Great Location, Resraurant downstairs, supermarket nearby, 10mins walk to waterfront anf all the waterfront/ water sports attractions. Bed/warm showers OK. Room very small, just enough to walk in/out, no wardrobe, glass door opens outwards, thin walls, can hear noisy neighbours.

Really great stay, excellent wifi, hot shower & clean bathroom. Staff at check in were very kind and even let us check in early. One of the best night sleep we’ve had so far on our trip - the room was dark, very quiet, and the bed was seriously comfortable, could stay here just to sleep in the room

Pros: Conveniently located near the island-hopping pier, just a 10-minute walk away. They can also arrange affordable shared transfers to the airport. Cons: The facilities are very basic, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Breakfast was also extremely simple, offering only a few items: plain congee, bread, fried noodles or eggs, and rather cheap sausages. There were no fresh vegetables or fruit available at all.
