"Accommodations in Semporna town are generally quite basic. This time, traveling with my kids, I booked the Sipadan Inn 2. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Marine Tourism Center, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. However, there's a bar next door where many young people sing, and there are lots of dogs in town that fight at night, making it a bit noisy. Breakfast is very simple, and I won't go into detail about the hotel's facilities – they're considered decent for Semporna, but don't set your expectations too high. I brought my own disposable bedding. The hotel staff's service was excellent overall; they were very friendly when I asked for water or information during my stay. Oh, and the hotel is very close to the seafood market, so you can buy fresh seafood and have it prepared – it's incredibly tender and delicious."

"This hotel is more like a hostel. The front desk is tiny, and the conditions, facilities, and service are on par with a budget motel. The worst part was the breakfast; aside from eggs, bread, and plain congee, there was hardly anything else to eat. Even if the hardware can't be changed, for a several-hundred-dollar room rate, couldn't they offer a better breakfast? I can only say the owner is incredibly greedy! It truly doesn't justify the 900+ per night price! To be fair, the room hygiene was decent. If the room rate was 300, these conditions would be acceptable, but for a star-rated hotel price, it's completely misleading and infuriating!"

"Great value for money! The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the pier, which makes it very convenient for island hopping. There are also convenience stores nearby. Plus, it's only about a 10-minute walk to the seafood market. The owner is a very straightforward and friendly guy from Northeast China. We even bought some seafood ourselves and the hotel was able to cook it for us. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends when they visit next time."

You need to take off your shoes to enter the public dining area. **Environment:** It's a 20-minute boat ride from the pier, and the water quality around the water bungalow is decent. It looks beautiful at night when lit up, with tons of small fish and starfish. **Service:** The staff are very service-oriented. Our boat left right on time as scheduled. The snorkeling instructor who took us with our child was also very reliable, holding hands throughout the activity."

Every corner of the resort is picture-perfect — whether you’re relaxing on the deck, snorkeling by the reef, or enjoying a peaceful sunset. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Every activity was well organized, and the food was fresh and delicious. Special thanks to the team for making us feel so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. "I'd always heard my friends rave about Semporna, so I decided to take my family there during the holidays to experience this emerging tourist spot and this new hotel. The hotel is brand new, with very modern facilities and uniquely designed rooms that resemble yurts – very distinctive. The room environment was excellent: a powerful air conditioner, a large sofa, fully automatic double-layered curtains, and a spacious balcony offering incredible views. It was truly comfortable and relaxing. The Wi-Fi quality was also good, with basic full coverage, allowing for seamless video streaming. The most impressive feature was the massive swimming pool; the water was crystal clear, and because the hotel is located halfway up the mountain, the views were superb, making for fantastic photos. The service was top-notch, with a dedicated butler providing private car transfers to various locations. Not only did they offer airport transfers, but they also took us to the seafood market to select our seafood, and the quality there was truly eye-opening. They even helped us prepare the seafood back at the hotel, and the taste was excellent. They also took us snorkeling. Even though it was my first time, seeing the corals up close was incredibly satisfying. I heard the underwater scenery is even more beautiful when diving, so if I get the chance, I definitely want to come back for a deep-sea dive. One time, I accidentally left my room key inside the room, but the front desk promptly issued a new access card without hesitation. After returning from snorkeling, we requested more towels and toiletries, and the front desk was happy to provide them. We were very satisfied!"

"Wow, wow, wow! In all the years of travelling, I don't believe we have stayed in such a beautiful resort. The entire property is exactly as the photos online, well designed and lovingly created by Crystal, Chung and their son Ku who gave us great hospitality during our four days here. The pool is well thought out, ideal for children, rooms are perfect with the bonus of a seating area, really good hot showers and efficient, silent air-conditioning and excellent WiFi in all areas of the resort. Completely secure in a locked compound, again great for a relaxing stay with kids. Only 10 minutes to the waterfront, grab taxis were easy to order and all less than RM10. Asian and Western breakfasts provided, tea, coffee, cereal, eggs, toast, yoghurt and fruit. There is a little shop onsite selling snacks, soft drinks and a good range of beers. Newly opened as of September 2026, we wish them all the best for a very successful business going forward and wouldn't hesitate to come back."

"Very beautiful place. It is extremely unpleasant to see a dirty beach. Disgusting attitude to nature. The garbage can be removed in 2 days, no one needs it. They stole money from the room. 200 ringgit. It is very strange to risk your reputation like that. From a backpack. For the money they ask, the service should be much higher. They feed deliciously, this is a big plus. Inadequate prices for diving and snorkeling. There is something to compare with. We were on Montanani Island, it is much better there plus the price is adequate. If you are a diver, there is nothing to do on Mabul. This is not my first time in Malaysia. There is a lot of negativity about this hotel."
