The good: It’s generally quiet as an adults only place. Plenty of sunbeds. The breakfast is good. Even when there’s entertainment on in the evening it’s still pretty quiet. The shower is excellent. The resident woodpecker is very cool. The not so good: Even though there’s no need people still put towels down on the sunbeds with those awful pegs. The house keeping is incredibly noisy, if you want to lay in good luck, no do not disturb sign and they REALLY want in your room. I’m not sure why because the sheets and towels aren’t changed but they certainly know how to bang about. And I really didn’t need them to rearrange my stuff in the bathroom, or dispose of bottled liquid they think I’m done with if I haven’t put it in the bin. We were sat outside and got locked out because they locked up the sliding door. After 6 days the breakfast got a bit boring. Went to the snack bar once just before 3pm, all they could offer was pizza. Didn’t realise the menu was only until 2.30pm. When we said we didn’t want anything I could feel the eye roll. They position the piano and entertainment near the door, so if you’re not staying you have to walk right in front of it - not great. Pool was freezing and smaller than the pictures suggest. They sent a survey a couple of days after check in. Then someone turned up with tea bags at the door, but no kettle - I’d be more transparent about engagement rather than feign a survey. It just felt fake. In all it’s probably the best hotel in the area, and lots of people return time after time, definitely not a 5 star though and I wouldn’t come back.
