I recently stayed at Dolphin Continental Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly cheerful and helpful, making me feel very welcome throughout my stay. The hotel's location was fantastic, with easy access to many restaurants and other attractions nearby. I highly recommend Dolphin Continental Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.

The building of the hotel has some cracks, and the furniture has a little damage. The floor of the room and the bed are not clean, as I found a lot of hair.

It was great that my first memorable business trip was at the Dolphin Continental Hotel. The service was also perfect. I would like to visit again someday.

I had the absolute worst experience at Dolphin Continental Hotel in Salem Al Mubarak Street, Salmiya, Kuwait. I’m still fuming from my stay, and I wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone. Firstly, the towels were disgusting – check the attached photos for proof. They were so dirty, I couldn’t even use them. The room was freezing cold, and when I called to ask for heating, they gave me a flimsy white sheet to cover myself with (see photo). Are you kidding me?! No heater, no extra blankets, just a sheet. Ridiculous. To make matters worse, the water in the shower stopped in the middle of my shower – and it wasn’t even hot water, just freezing cold. I had to dry myself off with the filthy bed sheets because the towels were too gross to use. When I called to complain, I was always met with lies from an unqualified person on the phone who promised a solution but never delivered. I repeatedly asked to be moved to another room, but the staff didn’t respond until 11:00 PM – far too late, and I ended up changing rooms. The new room was also not heated!!! The next day was even worse. I had a huge sports event to attend, but after a miserable, freezing night (they promised me a heater but never delivered), I woke up feeling so sick. By 6:00 AM, I was vomiting and had diarrhea. I missed the event I came to Kuwait for, all thanks to this hotel. The icing on the cake? I had to pay for the stay, which ruined my trip. This hotel made me sick, frustrated, and prevented me from attending the most important event of my trip. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Stay far, far away if you value your time, health, and sanity.

This is certainly one of the strangest hotels I've visited. The room was genuinely filthy. I realise when hopping from Bahrain, Qatar or the United Arab Emirates that standards visibly drop when entering Kuwait, however, such is no excuse for what I saw in my room. It was the 14th floor, so the corner window with views over the sea was appreciated, though the clump of hair on my sheet and other hair visible through the translucent pillow case was quite disgusting. The bed size menu has a previous guests writing scrawled over it and the carpet was black from years of stains and damp. The carpet had also not been vacuumed and was littered with hair, paper and food stains. The general vibe of this hotel is imminent closure or refurbishment. I think the ownership realise that its golden years are over. My reservation provider has a note on the website stating that this hotel will be closed from October to May 2025, though this was denied as incorrect by the staff. The staff were pleasant and friendly enough though, and indeed, the price I paid was low for Kuwait and breakfast was included with a large selection of foods and especially healthy options too (though much was from days past). Additionally a free airport shuttle was also included, though there was some issues with this upon my arrival. I have no issue with used and aging furniture and amenities, though filth represents poor management. Even the shuttle van had trash everyone inside it which would take seconds to clean... Yes, for the price paid, irrespective of the dirtiness of everything - it is still good value and that's why I've issued 3/5. The location is also good. I would still recommend It as a value budget option, but I do not consider this a 4 star hotel at all.

Very well located hotel 2 minutes walk from the seaside and 30 minutes from the marina. There are several bus stops nearby, it is very easy to reach the city center of Kuwait. The standard rooms (for my part) are very spacious and the view is very pretty on the city (+ a small piece of the sea), facing the sunset! Small negative point: we can easily hear what is happening outside at the bottom of the hotel (road & parking) and in the corridor. It's a shame, but it doesn't spoil the rest. It is more than adequate for the price. The staff is very kind and attentive, whether at breakfast, at the reception or in the airport shuttle, and at any time! The continental breakfast is very good, it is complete, with choice. Everything you need for everyone! I totally recommend this hotel, whether for a single person, a couple or a family.
