The hotel is located in the middle of San Sebastian, far away from the city center. Unless you are traveling by car, don't stay here because the transportation is inconvenient. But the hotel is quiet and beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable, like a classic manor.

Beautiful setting, stunning views. Room very nice and spacious and best of all there was a bath! Facilities need updating though. Either a kettle in the room or a coffee vending machine would be good. Staff in the cafe need customer service training. Polite enough but not good when there's more than one customer waiting. Food could be better, although the snacks to buy were ok. In this day and age something hot for breakfast would be nice. They also need to get some decent tea bags. No wonder they don't like tea on the continent - they don't make it properly . With a few tweaks this could be a wow place to stay

We stayed there 3 nights in July 23. The hotel is located ca. 4 km from San Sebastian in the moutain which gives a frantastic view either on the sea or on the Pyrenean chain. The hotel is supposed to be 4 stars but it is more an average 3 stars. It is very very noisy and the breakfast, even if the price for the buffet is reasonable (11 Euros) is very poor in terms of quality and respect for environment (individual portions of industrial jam and honey ; low quality bread ; low quality cheese ;...). We appreciated the terrace where we could have the meals. Regarding the swimming-pool, it is very good but rest chairs should be changed or refurbished.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are quite basic but beds are comfortable & there is air conditioning. We had a seaview. The pool/area is very spacious with plenty of beds & umbrellas. We did not eat at the hotel but when we came back one evening & had a drink in the bar other people had food which looked good. We got a taxi into San Sebastian in the evening and that was about 12 euros each way. I would recommend this hotel.

Although our stay was in September, the weather was good with temperatures of 30ºC and the hotel displayed the swimming pool on its website, it was closed! The hotel is on the mountain about 6km from the city and without transport. We intended to have dinner every day at the hotel, because we were 2 couples over 65 years old and the access road to the city is poorly lit, has many curves and was under construction. Although there was a large dining room with many tables and chairs, we were unable to use them. We could only eat outside, which on 2 of the days was not viable, due to the wind, humidity and low temperatures. The employees flatly refused, rudely and impolitely, for us to eat inside. We were told that the tables were reserved, which was not true, because they were always unoccupied. We tried to speak to the hotel manager at reception, but apparently he wasn't there. It was a bad experience! We do not recommend!

The facilities in general, on a historic building and property, contain a large garden with views and carefully maintained. The staff, friendly and with a sense of humor. Comfortable beds in spacious rooms that may need a maintenance plan, especially the false ceilings. The silence at night makes it easier to sleep. It is more of a stay for just rest, not for regular visits to the city center.

A very nice hotel... Perhaps not worthy of a 4 star but nevertheless a good place to stay... Good breakfast, nice swimming pool, quite friendly staff... The only drawback is that it is far from the center so you have to take tram 16 in at the end of the road... But to return there, be prepared for a bit of an uphill road and after a day out or at the seaside I didn't appreciate it very much...

The location of the hotel is great but the treatment in the cafeteria by a blonde waitress is disastrous. He has yelled at us and scolded us. I don't recommend it at all, I've seen more reviews about that specific waitress and for some reason they should change her for someone else.
