The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. The room features traditional Japanese-style interiors but feels quite dated, including the furniture. On the positive side, the buffet for both dinner and breakfast offers a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. A standout feature is the free shuttle service from Sapporo Station, which adds convenience for travelers. Overall, it’s a practical choice for its location and amenities, though the rooms could use some updates.

Very good! Very new, good service, large rooms, probably one of the top three best hotels in the Jozankei area. The food is beautiful, the restaurant is also beautiful, but the taste is really average, haha. It's a little flawed.

All the hotel staff are very nice The private hot spring is also very comfortable The hotel has a spa and laundry It is already very good in Jozankei The only drawbacks are two aspects 1. Inconvenient transportation The hotel has a free shuttle bus, but it is basically impossible to make a reservation during the peak season. You can only go directly through the reservation system bus/the hotel helps to book a taxi. You need to make reservations in advance 2. This hotel is not in Jozankei Town, it is located next to the highway. Because the hotel has no entertainment facilities, transportation is inconvenient during the snow season. If you want to play around, you need to make transportation plans in advance Overall, the experience is still very good

The location is very good, you can walk to nearby attractions and the station is nearby. The room is clean and sanitary, the view outside the window is beautiful, it is built along the stream, and the open-air hot spring view is even more beautiful. The Japanese breakfast is rich and delicious. A hotel worth recommending.

The stay was overall above average. Suggestions for the hotel are 1. Usb ports or travel adapters in the room 2. Reception should ask for our dietary preferences when we check in. Couldn't eat the beef dish provided during dinner 3. Drinks counter at the audio area can be extended to 12 midnight as there aren't really anything to do after onsen 4. Feeder bus timing from Sapporo station can be earlier so we can have more time to walk around the parks and vicinity prior to check in. We had to rush to the park as it gets dark very early during autumn.

I don't know why all the rooms I booked in Japan on Ctrip were at the end of the corridor. I was a little scared traveling alone in Japan, especially in this hotel. I didn't dare to sleep alone on New Year's Eve. There was the sound of the air-conditioning switchboard next to me, which was very noisy. The sound of the Japanese sliding door swaying in the wind and the sound of the hot spring water outside really wiped out the surprise of the initial check-in. Let me talk about the good places. The environment is very good, the snow scene is great, the whole hotel is large, there are few rooms, and the public lounge area is very stylish. I had authentic Japanese food for the New Year's Eve dinner and the first day of the new year breakfast. The food was really good. There was a tall staff member who was very warm and friendly. There is no completely outdoor hot spring, and the public hot spring pool is very small

Stayed here for the second time. The price is cheap The breakfast and dinner buffets are included, although the food is still edible. But the most important thing is the large bath. The large bath on the 12th floor of the adjacent building is very clean and has many care products.

We only had 1 night to stay in this beautiful paradise 🥲🤍 It was the best stay of our 10 day trip in Japan and we would definitely be back to stay here again 🤍 Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹 Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots. Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️ Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too. Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️ Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹 I can’t wait to come back here again with my partner 🤍

Highly recommended 👍👍👍 1. Transportation: Many people said that transportation was inconvenient when we were doing the guide. We didn't book the hotel bus. We only needed to walk for 2 minutes to get off in front of the first hotel by Kappa bus. As long as you don't carry a large suitcase, the overall route is flat and smooth. 2. Experience: The experience of the all-female hostel is excellent. Everyone is quiet and doesn't disturb each other. There are not many hotel rooms. There are only three or four people in the large bath at most. The overall atmosphere is very comfortable and cozy, and the people are extremely friendly. 3. Facilities and services: Clean, the room view is a snowy forest, beautiful. Check in at 3 pm, welcome drink, and there are night snacks and sangra after dinner. After soaking in the hot spring, eat ice cream, and drink a glass of wine facing the snow scene. It's perfect. The hotel service staff is also good in English, and there is no pressure to communicate basically. This is the warmest and most special of all the Japanese hot spring hotels I have stayed in so far. There is no noise and family feeling of large chain hotels. It is truly friendly to middle-aged single women, which makes this trip to Jozankei end perfectly. Looking forward to coming next time. Hope there will be more such exquisite hotels in the future.

It might have not been clearly mentioned but there is no air-conditioning provided, only central heating. During my time there, weather was cold out so the room only had 3 levels, low heat, medium heat and high heat. There is no way to sleep in those conditions and it took me a while to realize because the receptionist on the help desk phone did not speak English, so I went down to the lobby past midnight to ask the only staff available. Through some help on google translate and his hand gestures, I was told that I had to leave my windows open to let cold air into the room. This was not explained at any point during the check-in so I guess that's the downside for foreigners wanting to stay here. There's also a hot spring tax you have to pay when you check out. All things considered Jozankei is not a big town so everything is accessible and the hotel is generally comfortable otherwise.

GGuest UserIf you drive there by yourself, it would be very inconvenient to take the bus. It was around 5 pm when we arrived. It was already dark. There was no one at the front desk. Maybe there was a shortage of manpower. There was only one service staff serving us that day. We waited for 5 days. It took about a minute to see the front desk clerk. He should have gone out to get our dinner, but the service was very considerate and he even took the initiative to help us carry our luggage upstairs👍🏼. The room was large, the hot spring was very comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. , my daughter brought a lot of self-service snacks downstairs, we all thought it was very good, you can also watch Netflix, the hygiene is also very good, there are many sweaters and bathrobes 👍🏼
