Scenic Hotels in Hue

"Awesome stay at Melia Hue. Perfect location. The interior, service and amenities all feels high end. It’s a surprise to find such a nice hotel in small town like Hue. Definitely high CP. it’s also the tallest building in Hue, guaranteeing great views in all rooms. There is a mall attached to the hotel with supermarket inside. Ask the front desk for eateries recommendations. And definitely get the buffet breakfast as it’s really good."

"Overall I had a great experience until the last night ( Saturday night) when the hotel was fully booked for some kind of very wild Vietnamese people- big families with around 50 kids of different ages ( they came to celebrate the birthday) in total who ruined my sleep at 5:40am and then again ( after I told them to shut up) at 07:40 am so I couldn’t fall asleep anymore ( I worked till 01:00 am and wanted to sleep at least till 0900)🤦🏼♀️ Their kids are running the hallway from early morning screaming with doors opened into their rooms where their parents are shouting at each other ( those uneducated people from the villages can’t talk quite). You can hear it with your door closed very loudly ( my alarm rings even quieter). The evening before they were singing karaoke in the meeting room next to the lobby bar ( in the main building), so I could hear it in my room on 5th floor. I don’t understand why hotel management allows these such big groups which don’t even know to to respect other guests especially in 5* hotel to stay at such famous brand hotel ( Meliá) . Those kind of the LOCAL guests just ruin the image of the hotel! I pay money for 5* hotel to have a good sleep, but not to be disturbed by other guests 24/7 who have no manners and do not teach their kids how to behave in such places. My suggestions for a light sleepers to AVOID this hotel on WEEKENDS as you probably won’t be able to sleep. I have been living in Vietnam for 7 months ( mostly in 4-5* hotels ) and noticed that is a common practice for some Vietnamese to gather whole village and book 5* star hotel for weekends for celebrations. I had the same issue in very nice 4* hotel in Hoi A where I stayed during 6 weeks. Every weekend it was a nightmare for me (in the night and early morning!). In all other aspects if you come to Kobi during the week this is amazing hotel! Beds, views, ONSEN, breakfast….and staff are amazing! Thanks to everyone who works in this hotel for providing a high quality service."

"Breakfast spread wasn't great for me as I have specific diet needs, but overall enough variety for the average traveller. The yoghurt was absolutely the best I'd ever had tho. Perfectly smooth, not tart, and they had an unsweetened version. The room was neat, clean, housekeeping was efficient - one of the days they ran the bell and we were just on the way out so we said they could go ahead and make up the room anyway. In and out in no time flat! The concierge service was impeccable. We were treated like royalty. It wasn't just the usual 'standard' politeness, but a friendliness that was so heartwarming I really felt special. We'll definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Hue."

"In general the stay was ok. The location is good, the hotel is clean and modern. However I cannot give a great rating because of the most bizarre thing that happened at check-out. Having already explained that we were in a rush as we had a flight to catch, the receptionist offered to check our room in case we had forgotten anything. I explained it wasn't necessary as we had checked thoroughly, and repeated that we were in a rush. Our pre-booked car was already waiting, and having loaded our luggage and go in, she instructed our driver not to leave until she had checked the room! I am a very regular traveler throughout Asia and beyond and this is not normal practice, and to attempt to delay our departure ahead of a 2-hour drive to the airport is both bizarre and completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel for this episode alone."

"Great hotel with a beautiful view of the river. Polite and friendly service. Fantastic breakfasts, large selection of products. Very nice cleaning lady. The hotel itself has its glory days behind it, but it is clean and the service is good. Those who do not like noise should rent rooms on the river side. They will gain not only silence, but also a very beautiful view plus a balcony. It is noisy on the street side until midnight, because there are pubs in the vicinity of the hotel."

"Fantastic and friendly service from Ngoc and Thu at reception and all the staff here are very welcoming. The room was really nice and a beautiful view of the city. I really loved the gym here, it had all of the necessary equipment which is hard to find in most hotels. The complimentary breakfast was really good value and enough variety to have a different breakfast everyday. Will definitely choose this hotel again when I come back to Hue :)"

"The hotel is in an alley, which is not easy to find, but it is still a quiet place in the middle of the hustle and bustle. There is a milk tea shop at the entrance of the alley. It's not far from the night market and bar street. The rooftop and swimming pool on the top floor are good. The breakfast is relatively simple, but it's also in line with the price. The room is spacious and clean. The front desk is very welcoming. They even upgraded me to a room."
